  1. I couldn't find the list of approved games. Are the Game Gear titles ok to pick from?
  2. idk if you listened to the first post but if not you could check out what i had in mind for the tempo changes.
  3. Yea, i think i'm gonna use this recording as a guide for humanizing my version. I basically need to work on note velocities and de-quantizing it, but my tempo varies between 80 and 120 bpm, and that adds sooo much in terms of flow.
  4. He said the recording was pieced together from different takes. I agree that the shift is a bit weird. That and the lack of tempo variation are my only big issues with the recording. I may try to imitate this take in my project file, or try to get another take.
  5. if anyone's interested, here's the sheet music: http://www.box.com/s/8a214d1d047922d00c5d
  6. Anyone know of good piano soundfonts/VSTs? Preferably free ones? The one I've been using is part of a soundfont labeled as tgsf21x.
  7. The eluryahn was kind enough to make a recording of this song for me, so I figured I'd post it here for some feedback! http://tindeck.com/listen/ouge
  8. i would either like someone to play the final rendition live, or create a somewhat believable sequenced performance. remember though, i only spent a few hours on this first edition, so keep in mind that there's still a ton of work to go. but on the subject of realism, i'm not terribly pleased with the soundfont i am using. are there any recommended *free* soundfonts/vsts for solo piano?
  9. If anyone was curious, I was asking because of this mix that I started recently: http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?p=845548
  10. I started working on my first solo piano mix, combining the serenade of water from ocarina of time and the goddess' theme from skyward sword. http://tindeck.com/listen/lmjm Thoughts/suggestions?
  11. I meant that if I printed the sheet music for the piece, a single person could play it. I tend to have the problem where I make my music overly complex, which doesn't work so well when the performer only has 2 hands.
  12. I recently started writing a solo piano piece, and I was just wondering if any artists have any general tips on how to write realistic pieces. I really love this genre, but as I've never played a piano before, I wasn't quite sure how to get started.
  13. you can count me in i loves me some sonic music
  14. I was messing around with some new styles and techniques and decided this source might fit in pretty well. Idk yet if I'll continue with this or not, but I'd like some feedback either way. http://tindeck.com/listen/onxr
  15. I vote for Cedar Point. My second choice is Chicago.
  16. Don't be silly! You should come hang out, and meet new people. I promise most of us won't bite.
  17. Sam mentioned that VGL is coming to the Chicago area around April/May.
  18. I do this too. For me, it makes interpretation a little easier, cause I inevitably get the rhythm/note wrong in certain spots, and it sounds better than the original.
  19. Man that was a great time. I love that the 3ds has game-joining capabilities on the friend list.
  20. I got bored so I made one. Hopefully it helps us organize a bit. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AvqoUELLOaMUdDUzbGdta0NYU3ctUzRuTnJOTjBFSFE
  21. Could make a shared google doc with a list of numbers.
  22. My group's getting in on Wednesday night.
  23. See, and here I was thinking that I had outgrown playdates.
  24. So is the OCR community alive? I kept checking but it was always empty.
