Hi there guys, I see that the forum has changed, needed a few min to get into this whole new outlay although it's basically the same lol Anyways, we've completed a new Metal ReMake track that is in 'Project X' in the download section of our site, hope you enjoy it! Legend Of Dragoon is definitely an unappreciated game that needs attention. So I hope some people want to play the game after hearing the ReMake. Yet another track has been finished! Hi there, time for an update! I know this is the Final Fantasy History thread, but it feels wrong to keep adding threads for every new little update, so we'll keep this one for everything. A new track has been added to the site, a mini-medley of Legend Of Dragoon! Check it out and please stayed tune, FF IV last battle is right around the corner WRAAAGHHAH!

I think the piano sounds nice as well. It's a bit thinned out though, lacks a little bass in my opinion. When the beats starts it really takes off. Haha, when I hear this song, I can imagine Nico from GTA 4 running away from the cops during spring with a big smile on his face lol I don't know why this came to mind! Guess I've played too many games lately. Anyways, perhaps you could add some more Reverb to your drums. The snare should be thicker. And maybe vary the velocity on your hi hats, they sound a bit robotic at the moment I think, kind of nag into my head as the tune progresses. The melodies are very nice, make me feel good in my gut. I feel a slight asian touch from your choice of tones at times. Like on the Synth solo, the backing reminds me a lot of Asian culture. Very nice synth samples. Unusual length on the track, not many people make long tracks like this in this kind of style, I'm impressed by that Keep on composing man! Lots of talent here. It may be wrongly posted, but to be honest, if you didn't post it here, I wouldn't hear it. So thanks for posting wrong lol.

Downloading... big file... got it. I can hear the themes, but I think the beat kind of distract the theme, hard to feel the true emotion flow. So I guess I think it's a bit of a cold mix. Feels more like a experimentation of grooving beats. I'd add some more breaks and be a little more diverse. And in and out fading can be a bit annoying too. But you have a really good ear for listening out music and alternating the themes. Overall, don't listen to me, I am not fan of this kind of music style. So keep on trying what you do! Just trying to help. I would add diversity as mentioned above and make the overall progress of the track more interesting. Maybe add some more self composed music?

hahaa oh man! Punch out, I love that game. Kick ass sustain guitar sample you're Using. Cool 80's kinda trumpet too. It's very creative of you to use PUNCH!! sounds as drum element. Great idea. Perhaps you could add some elements that could fill out the sound a little better during the main themes, it get's a little thin here and there. About half way in you've added a nice synth solo part, it's a bit boring... but still good. Perhaps you could have fiddled around a little with the backing. The drumming is good though! It's a bit too much of the same going on. If you'd go from lighter notes then work your way to darker tones, then speed up to lighter tones and let the drums go mayhem it would be awesome! This is just a suggestion: If you'd stop ALL instruments right after the synth stashing with a heavy delayed punch, then POW start it off with the main themes again, it would have great effect! Perhaps play the main themes on second repeat together with another instrument.. it would add suspense. Great work!!

Cool how you've made it into a vocal tracks. You wrote the lyrics yourself? If so, nice job. I can hear this is all played in one go, both guitar and vocals right? Sounds very live. The mic quality is not the best. But it's good. You got good rhythm in your playing. Overall good job man! If you plan on submitting it to OCREMIX, you should record every section of the vocals in as perfect pitch as you are able to. It's live sound is very good, but for a recording it's not quite there yet. But I think you'd perfect that fast! Good job pal!

I am not really a fan of this PUMP THIS PARTY style of music. But my taste will not affect my opinions on this track. The samples have very high quality, makes it sound slick and pro. Cool use of vocals in the track. The main piano theme's backing drives me a bit crazy. A LOT of repeat going on there. Makes the whole tune fall into a 'trance' of ... what to say, habit? I reached a point where I just had it going on in the background, it didn't keep my attention all the way. Too much looping. Keep your creations coming! The mixing is very good.

Hi there. First of all, I think you play very good! You got skills. The energy flow is all there. The guitars have a tendency to peak a lot. I would turn down the overall sound of the tune and raise it with mastering software later to avoid a lot of that, perhaps your guitar sound need a bit equalizing. Many even professional bands have the same problem, that's the DARK SIDE of guitar recording, those damned peaks! You got nice drumming, love the hi-hat 'stashing'. Looking forward to hearing an extended version! Keep it up pal! ROCK ON!!

Well, we like to have our ReMakes released at once. You could say we don't have patience to wait for ocremix. And besides, it's more personal to give it out on a own website.

Hi, just posting a ReMix I've done for fun. A medley between the metal gear main themes and the GEKKO tune from Guns of the Patriots. Also added some 'narrative' based stuff in metal-gear-style to add to a deeper mood. A mix of symphony, synths and metal. Am I the only one that haven't complained AT ALL in this thread?.. I say take your time guys.. excellent work needs time sometimes.. Ill be here when its released.. cheers.. And I think the website should be up at the same time as the music is released, not after, it would feel like everything is in pieces.. so I stand by that decition..

wow.. so we have Vocalists in here that can sing in Japanese?.. thats amazing and very interesting as Im thinking of composing a J-Pop/Fantasy song. Anyways, this track really sounds promising, It sounded very nice.. and Im sure it will be a great release!

Every day i come check this thread out in hopes of it saying "THE PROJECT IS COMPLETED!!!" but..alas...no luck yet.. Still waiting though! Same here..
