Okay so I'm going to be grabbing myself a 360 in a week or so, and I've been scoping out the Live subscriptions of which I've found 2. One is a regular Live thing retailing for like 80ish AUD, the other is Live GOLD which costs more. The product descriptions don't make them seem different at all >_>;; What's the difference between the 2? Are there more kinds of subscriptions? And which do you recommend for someone who just wants to play thingers online? tyty.

Old games make me feel like a lot more time has passed than I actually *feel* has passed. Especially Wii's damned VC. Like when I got Streets of Rage a while back on VC. Then it dawns on me that I first played it about 15 or so years ago. It doesn't make me feel old, I guess. It's just a feeling that, like, I've been around for so long, and seen so many new things come along. Like it's hard to fathom, that I've seen X many years of this stuff. I don't know how I could explain it any better =| And RF for the lose. I remember what sucked most was that if the reception messed up, I was too young to know how to tune the TV to work with it again. That meant waiting for someone older, who knew what to do T_T. Nowadays 5 year olds know how to use every damn bit of entertainment-related technology >_>;;

That kicking combo might have been Shippu-Jinrai-Kyaku. A kicking super that ends in the hurricane kick, which has been in games like SF3, EX2, and Alpha3. Unless it's not that move he's doing in the clips... I wouldn't mind seeing more veteran characters return in SF4. Especially after playing Alpha3, which had a roster containing all the originals, all the characters up to Alpha2, and *then some*. Considering the game will be on a DVD now (as opposed to the previous being on CDs), I'm hoping for an impressive roster containing a good selection of veterans and newbies alike.

Wouldn't mind an external hdd for the Wii either =/ Considering that the Wii lacks raw power when compared to the 360/ps3. Coming up with some more storage space is an easy way to put it closer to par with other platforms (at least in that respect). And if we don't get a harddrive for it when WiiWare is launched, I'm going to cry >_> And about those delays / poor shipping / etc... Just be thankful that you don't live in Australia. We get the majority of things 3-6months later than everywhere else =/ ... But mostly I want a hard drive for it. You would too if you only had the Wii version of GH3 T_T

I think it might have less to do with us growing weary of these titles, and more the fault of developers for not trying too hard to make things that are fun. Nowadays it's ok to release a half-arsed game that looks all shiny and stuff, because there's a 12year old somewhere who doesn't know a good game from a not-so-good game. But yeah, I mean, I take a weekly or bi-weekly (or whenever I'm bothered to do groceries with the missus) look at the game shops in our area, and I see shelves of crap, mostly. And the good games that are there are already at home on my shelf. So maybe the standards of the younger generation of gamers are relaxed, so much so that developers can cater to them and still make money. Which leaves the oldies (I'm an oldie and only 21 T_T) feeling that decline... Meh.

It's like the kid who used the skills 'taunt' and 'feign death' that he learned after playing WoW to save he and his sister from a moose, I think it was. But yeah, a pity that things like these don't hit the main stream =/ ... Oh and I think I cheated when I did the medic training in AA >_>;;

Pssh best Prime game ever. The only one that doesn't have a beginning involving you being all "Rawr lookit me, I's be Samus and I's got t3h powerups," then getting exploded on or raped by aliens and having all those removed so you're reduced to a feeble regular shot firing, no double jumping, unable to morph ball, missile lacking pansy cake. Then again Samus would be overpowered with like 750 or so missiles, several charged shot upgrades, being able to quadruple jump or whatever. But if I was her I'd be kinda pissed at the stuff that happens. "Well, the universe is safe again. I totally just owned that Metroid, bwah hah. Hey what's that? Oh noes not another explosi----" *blacks out* *wakes up* "What.. Happened..." "Charged shot offline. Morph ball offline. Missiles offline. Grapple beam offline. Dayum bitch, all yo' shit be offline." Not necessarily. It's just that there is more to GH than StepMania. In GH you've got 5 frets and a strum, and at most you'll need to press 3 frets at once (while strumming). As opposed to SM, where you've got 4 buttons (I guess 6, depending on the mode (or double that if you play double..)), pressing 2 simultaneously, at most. It also looks cooler playing a fake guitar than finger dancing on your keyboard. Anyway, slightly more on topic. I can't even beat TTFATF on Medium ~_~;;;; Curse you people who've been playing the GH series for longer than the week I've had it on Wii! T_T

Scratch that. Yesterday I was at my local JB Hi-Fi, and they were selling the Les Paul Wii Controller (separate, i.e., not the game+guitar bundle) for 69AUD. Not sure how much USD that is for you guys, or even if there's an equivalent American shop. But I shall be grabbing mine sometime this week, bwah hah =D

For anyone interested, I ticketed RedOctane about this, and they're response was that it'd be a month or so (at least) before stand alone guitar controllers would be sold for Wii (and I'm guessing PS3). But that's not a solid date =/ I just hope that Australia gets them whenever the rest of the world does ;;

GH3 came out in Australia yesterday, and I was like the 6th person at our local JB to get a copy =D My first time playing any of the GH games, and it's hard =| I managed to complete Easy and Medium Careers, but Hard is just being gay >_> Anyways, I just wanted to ask if anyone has any footage of the guitar controller while someone leet is playing it (like that spehfire punk >_> =p), cause I've only managed like 5 songs on hard, and they were mostly luck coupled with easy notes. And secondly. Where the hell can I get a 2nd guitar controller? (Wii version) Either I'm cockeyed or the RedOctane site doesn't have guitars available for Wii (and I'm not buying a 2nd copy of the game just for a guitar >_>), so does anyone else happen to know where I can get a 2nd official majiggy? ty =D Yeah and dam you pros Dx! Ty for firstly recommending something close to 30 years old xD But yeah, I was looking to get something solid, and as long as they don't crap out on me after a few months (and, instead, last a lot longer), I'm not so fussed shelling out a bit more, so I guess I'll have to shop around to get me some AKG or Senn action. Hey everyone, I just got myself a new bass guitar off ebay (never touched a bass in my life - but they seem cool so I shelled out the dosh for one xD), and now that I'm making a lot more noise in the house, I was wondering what kind of headphones I should be getting. Basically, I want to use it while playing my bass so no one besides me gets irritated at the bad playing, and also to use it in my multimedia stuff for University (which involves stuff like balancing audio levels so they don't clip, removing 'impurities' from the audio - even going so far as composing my own little pieces of music). Are there any good headphones that have a student-friendly price range? I had some Logitech majiggy, but my girlfriend ended up snapping it in half accidentally =| and my gaming headset isn't comfortable for more than an hour or so. I just need something good and cheap. And I'm in Australia if that helps. Ty =D

i'd guess that half the time, it's not even parents who are complaining - but some lame group of activists or whatever. i don't understand what's so hard about it, cigarettes/alcohol are rated 18+ (=P), but they're freely available to those who provide ID. hell, i look like i'm 30 (actually 21 ), but when i go out to get a pack of smokes for my dad - they ask for ID. so there's the selling of adult games covered. and if a 12 year old comes home smoking, parents are probably gonna do something about it - am i right? what the hell is so different about games? if you don't like what your child plays, then take it away and put it on ebay. do some research, watch videos, and don't let them get it in the first place if you don't approve. basically, we're so retarded that we're handling the same rating in 2 different ways. why...? things would be so much better if the world were run by people who actually knew what the eff they were doing. what are the chances that our censorhip ministers used to be ministers for something totally unrelated >_>

Well, being in Australia and all, I've learned to expect many-a-delay from Nintendo =/ which is why I've started to import my DS games. ... And cry about Wii game release dates ;_;

friend codes would've been fine if all you had to do was enter 'em in once on your wii. but apparently each game is going to require it's own 'friends roster', which is an almighty weiner. this means we need to punch in X friend codes for Y online games. to me that seems a bit redundant (and retarded), and could've been done a lot better.

according to nintendo of australia's website, the DBZ game was meant to be out here (in australia =p) on the 3rd of march. every shop i called said it would be in on the 6th of april =/ just call up stores or check out sites that have *actual* release dates. as much as i like nintendo - they can be a real weiner.
