Thank you for volunteering guys / gals If signups are still low in early december then I'll add in other successful kickstarter games such as FTL, Shantae, Pier Solar And The Great Architects, Freedom Planet, Tiny Barbarian, and Shovel Knight. Also I'll remove song voting and just have people pick what they want from all the OST tracks. Until then though I'll leave the setup as is. OK: Updated this competition, changed some things etc. See top post.

Oh ok I've never hosted a compo before so I'm trying to get everthing right. I'll take away the upper restriction and put a lower one. Also I may extend signups a week into january if I don't see alot of interest. Its tricky setting this up during popular holidays this time of year. Also, I'll probably hit Darke up for some sub-forum voting threads near the end of signups as an alternative to PM voting.

Thanks for the reply and complements. In all honesty I'm not expecting 50 participants. It's just 51 would be my upper limit since I'd have to mp3 tag everyone's music in a day. If just 20 people signed up then I would be happy. I'm hoping everyone is just waiting until they know their new year's schedule before deciding. I feel the signup allotment time is very generous. The bracket style is so people won't get burnt out and have a good break between mixing. Let me ponder your suggestion though.

Cool, Thanks guys. I think you are right. It seems like all the songs I make have basically the same core problems. Structure / Focus. I'll work on those. Does anyone just do the structure and composing before messing with sound design / effects? It seems boring but more effective if I were to go about making a song that way. Is that something that you would recommend?

Bump. Any feedback is good. I'll take comments ranging from 1) You suck. to 2) It's awesome please submit it. Thanks again.

Hey all, Thanks for the advise. I was speaking to Brandon yesterday and he was pointing me in the right directions. I have Level99's guidelines now and know where to start a project / recruit people and what is ultimately expected. I'm still trying to figure out if I can even be a director... In the least I'm gathering information together (Like song lists and links to the original sources). I'll do more on Sunday. I'll just start with the first game if I decide to do it. Thank you all for the advice!

Bump.... So no advice / interest? Noone wants to be one of the 108 Remixers Of Destiny?

If he is the one that inflicts zombie status on you and instantly kills your aeons I agree as well.

Just because you didn't get a vote doesn't mean it isn't good. Don't expect perfection in unexplored territories my friend although if this is a first attempt then its a very good one -
Happy birthday you grim reaper you

It's funny they redid the stretch goals. Me thinks that the "making of documentary" isn't as enticing to fans and they didn't want the funding to dwindle down anymore...

And let us thank Team Ninja for spear heading this effort.

Auron is a totally awesome badass, but I must say I always smile every time Rikku death strike mugs an enemy and says "Oopsie!" On another note was Lulu just unpopular? I don't know why they axed her for Paine in the sequel that was a much harder game IMO

If you rush through the game it can be very challenging. I'm not disagreeing with you there. Let me clarify it a bit. FFX is extremely easy if you exploit weapon / armor creation and the sphere grid only 10%. I'm the type of player that appreciates a good story but cares way more about the gameplay. If I played FFX again I'd just use Rikku and say slap some ridiculous status effect on her weapon like death strike or petrify. Place it on her capture weapon. You can put a lot of touches on them easily too. Just doing that makes non-bosses a walk in the park. The english voice actress for Yuna left alot to be desired. Let's hope at least in the sequel this gets rectified... The difficulty of RPGs that wait for user input is only limited to the user's choice and their patience (Grinding for levels or items). Bad decisions and you die. It's not like this is an action game where split second timing counts. You don't really need to level up everyone anyway. Except maybe Kimarhi for his solo battle on the snowy mountain. You could just use Tidus, Wakka, and Rikku since they can do underwater combat. I really like FFX don't get me wrong. Especially the sphere grid and customization. I'd just rather see something new from Squinex. FFXIII saddened me. We all know they can do better. It's sad we have to look forward to re-releases instead of their new games.

FFX is way to easy to beat. I love the battle system but don't know if I can put up with the whiny / weakness combo that is tidus and yuna. I'd rather square put forth effort and make an original game. I personally do not want to play a game I have already mastered and know everything about already. This would bore me. Now for people who have never played the original it is great. Square needs to innovate. Innovation is what built their company and saved it when the first final fantasy was made. Don't get me wrong I love nostalgia but I'd rather have something fresh and new. Games like Lufia 2, Legend Of Legaia, Suikoden, and BOF5 Dragon Quarter are good examples of successful attempts at innovation. PS: How to totally own everything in the game. Make a weapon and put Double AP and AP to Overdrive on it. Put Auto-Haste on some armor. You will get uber-powerful so quickly.

How old is the husband and wife team "Bun Bun"? They still alive? They would be a much better choice if you ask me I think they composed Solar Man last.. which is fairly recently I do believe.
