in favor of this thread -> MP3, here are some more of my thoughts. Revisiting the whole "Myst" similarities....SkyTown reminded me a lot of some of the worlds in the Myst series. The whole other-worldy city in the sky thing...either way, it's freaking cool. I noticed that the countdown in SkyTown when crashing the spire pod seem rather ample. Does it get shorter in the harder modes? On another note, I wish there were more chances to use screw attack. It's freaking awesome in the Prime games. Also, I bought the bumper stickers. How do I get them on my ship? I thought they were supposed to go on automatically but that didn't seem to happen...

I second that proposal. 0780 2308 8606 7776

freaking awesome. and well deserved.

I found it difficult to adapt to the advanced controls at first, but I'm used to them now. I definitely think that it contributes to the difficulty of the game, but I still have a complaint in that enemies deal very little damage, as many of you have said already. I unfortunately haven't had the time to play as much as the rest of you, and so I only just now got the first missle upgrade on Bryyo. (I really liked that boss, btw. The "generator" boss near the beginning was awesome as well.) Is anybody else playing with hints turned off? I feel that it makes it more Metroid-y...just like in Super Metroid, you have to wander around trying to figure out what the heck you're supposed to do. EDIT: Does this game remind anyone of the Myst series? The ambience and the new level of interaction remind me of the puzzles in those games.

I really should post in these forums more often.... I've only played up to the first save point, but everything about this game screams "awesome." Music, colors, controls, art style...gah. Since I've played MP1 three times and MP2 once, I immediately switched to the "advanced" sensitivity option and turned off the hint system. I hope I won't regret that :-/

Okay, so I submitted my remix. It made it onto the judges panel, so wish me luck! ^^

I really like the clips from the show. I also like how you made the song sound rather menacing. It's a got a glitchy sound somewhat reminiscent of The Postal Service, or anything Jimmy Tamborello has done, for that matter. My only complaint is that it's rather unconventional, which may not be a bad thing (at least not in my mind), and it seems rather repetitive in parts -- or more specifically, there isn't a lot of sound variation going on. It also seems a mite too bass heavy. I like it a lot, but I fear you may have to change it up a bit before the judges will like it. It doesn't have that certain "flair" they like so much. (P.S. Might I have an mp3 of this? Just pm me and I can give you my e-mail address.) EDIT: Upon further listenings, the lack of "sound variation" I'm hearing may be too much emphasis on beat / noise and not enough melodic stuff going on. Maybe a synth solo in there somewhere might do the trick...?

Well, thanks much everyone! "Groovy" is the word that defines this song, it would seem. If no one else says anything for the next couple days, I'm going to go ahead and submit this.

thanks for your feedback, Jaybell! wow, uh...it's been a while since anyone's said anything. Surely someone else has some thoughts on this mix?

Hey all. This is a remix of Death Egg Zone from Sonic & Knuckles. It's called An Excellent Example of What Eggman Technology® Can Do For You! I intend to submit it soon so please tell me what you think I should change. Click here to download --> KingTiger's Death Egg Remix <-- Many thanks

Wow, this is an awesome thread. Thanks for all the links! now for one of my own. This is a little 4-song ep I made in a week. It was a bit tricky to accomplish this, since I had to work around my job, internship, and volunteer work. It's electronic pop that often resembles video game music. The main "Brinstar" theme from Metroid, maybe?

I believe most people (as uneducated as they may be ) call all forms of electronic music "techno." It used to drive me nuts, but I've become somewhat used to it. Metroid Prime - Exploring Tallon Overworld
KingTiger replied to atomicthumbs's topic in ReMix Requests
I've been wanting to make a remix of the Parasite Queen battle (at the beginning) and a remix of the underwater reactor core theme...I thought it would be neat, since they're kind of opposites and they both occured in the same place. -
HECK YES. This is amazing work from two of my favorite mixers!

cool. thanks guys! I'll post another mp3 when I update this track some more.

OCRA-0008 - Sonic 3 & Knuckles: Project Chaos
KingTiger replied to SnappleMan's topic in Album Reviews & Comments
Congrats, you just summed up 99% of ocremix. Then again, the sonic-cult forums were never the high-point of the internet. LOL What I find interesting is that at first everyone there is like, "no way am i wasting my time it will suck" but then, as people start actually listening to Project Chaos, the overall opinion seems to change gradually... -
Sonic Advance 3: Chaos Angel ACT 1 RMIX
KingTiger replied to khemael's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
I agree with (almost) everything Blue Magic said...the thing I disagree about is the intro. It might be a little sudden, but I like it. The only thing I feel could be done there is maybe let that initial bass note go for a measure before brining in the whole groove. The only thing that really bothers me, is it seems a little long...it seems like it should be a minute shorter. EDIT: Parts of this remind me of the soundtrack for The Phantom Menace... -
Super Metroid - Tourian 2 - WIP
KingTiger replied to Pink Mintaka's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
wow, I'm really digging this, mainly because of its ambience...this makes it really reminiscent of the original SM soundtrack. As stated by Martin, the bass is too loud, but not too much. I'm not feeling that the intro is too long though -- of course, being a trance fan, I'm used to it . -
"Glorious" is the name of my ReMix. It's very new-age. I may change the patches on this, using similar (but better sounding) patches. Let me know what you think! Glorious (WIP) by KingTiger

Sonic 3 & Knuckles: Project Chaos - History
KingTiger replied to k u n g f u c h i c k e n's topic in Projects
Okay, maybe this is asking too much, but a while ago I submitted a WIP of the Boss 2 track that was essentially rejected for the actual project...would it be possible to put it in the "bonus tracks" section of the website, or even include it in the voting? (BTW, I also think that Snapple's Doomsday should be on there...at least make it available for download.) EDIT: I'm listening to all of the tracks on the PC website...I'll be submitting my vote soon. -

I like the flying one, because that is Tails' signature move.
