  1. The Advance Wars series needs to be put on the VC.

    Nintendo Wii U

The touch screen in the controllers of the Wii U look like they have the potential to add a lot of fun to games. The controller seems kind of big, but fortunately it looks as though the buttons and control stick are grouped close together on either side, easily within thumb range. Judging by the Zelda tech demo, it seems as though Nintendo is planning to use the touch screen for item management, which sounds great. If you have the ability to place items anywhere you want on the touch screen, you could customize it in a way that works best for you. I would also like to see it used as a mini-map sometimes, or as a second camera angle. Say you're moving blocks around because you're trying to solve a puzzle to progress in a game. The touch screen could turn into a bird's-eye view of the field you're moving the blocks around on, so you can easily see where the next one goes. Or perhaps even set a camera view to look directly behind your character, where you see what's ahead of you on the TV, and what's behind you on the touch screen. Should be interesting to see how this feature is applied in the future.

    Nintendo Wii U

I'm excited about the possibility of an HD Nintendo console. It would be a great opportunity to make a really cool looking F-Zero game, a series that hasn't had a new game since 2004. I'd be interested in knowing if the new console will be backwards compatible with the Wii... So long as you can use the Wii controller with it, I don't think it should be a problem. I just wonder what type of control scheme they'll use this time... While I don't totally hate the Wii's motion controls, I would prefer a more traditional controller. At the very least, that would bring in more third-party support.
  4. Regardless of how impressive the 3D effect is, I'm still interested in the games coming out for the system. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nintendo_3DS_games

    Mega Man Legends 3

FINALLY. After 10 years, I had given up hope for a third game. The Mega Man Legends series is my favorite Mega Man series, now I have to get a 3DS. I'm also surprised at the number of responses to this thread, I was under the impression that not many people had played the games.
  6. Rather than simply removing the bad games (which seems to be pretty much all of them), maybe they should stop beating a dead horse and bring the Sonic franchise to an end. The last Sonic games that I thought were fantastic were Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles. Sonic did not make the transition to 3D well at all, Sega's had 12 years to fix it but have not made any progress. I just don't believe Sega will ever be able to make Sonic what he was again, might be time to just move on.
  7. Most of the time I don't care much for remixes that have lyrics, but the lyrics in this piece are just... Incredible. The storytelling here is fantastic, I'm so absorbed by it that I'm hardly listening to the music itself. Superb work!
  8. I'd recommend: Aquaria Sid Meier's Pirates Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Puzzle Quest
  9. All I have to say is "Holy crap, this is awesome!"
  10. Yeah, every Akuma player I've seen just spams fireballs, they tend to not be very talented. When that doesn't work for them, they are notoriously easy to beat.
  11. I'm enjoying this thread. I hadn't heard of either of those DAWs, nice to be aware of some new tools. Anyone got anymore?
  12. It's too bad there's no good way to penalize people who disconnect right before you finish them off so that they don't lose any points. Assholes.
  13. The online mode might actually be fun if you didn't have to go through 10 "Unable to play." error messages just to get to one fight.
  14. So is no one with a 360 even attempting to try the joystick? I'm using it and it's working great for me, and I've always been a joystick-hater when it comes to fighting games. To each their own, I guess. Loving the game so far, certainly challenging (especially that damn final boss). I really like playing as Bison in this game, so far I've been unstoppable with him. His ultra combo is really sweet. I also agree that the grapplers have been massively buffed in this game, though it is nice that Zangief's controller-input for his piledriver no longer causes him to just end up jumping half the time. And to all the Street Fighter fans out there who want the game but aren't sure they want to part with $60, trust me, it's worth it. This game's a blast.
  15. Man, it's hard to get this song off my music player's loop. From top to bottom, there's really nothing about this song that I don't like. I'm surprised it's not getting more reviews in this thread.
