  1. Nothing but sweet summer breeze touches my lips,

My mind, in the moment of sweet distraction.

A wispy playfulness, fluid, gentle passing.

A sour note plays in the background, smoke

Clouds that swift moment of isolation.

A round trip ticket to a daydream is far

Too expensive for the time spent there.

Even my imagination has to watch

    Its slowly lightening piggy bank.

  2. Let this be a lesson to you all. Atma is very, very good, and had he used any other character, he really could have beaten me in any given match. But he chose to use Sonic and...well, you see what happened.

FRIENDS DON'T LET FRIENDS PLAY SONIC

The entire point of playing Sonic is not to win, it's to be as annoying as possible. Get a 1 stock lead if you can and then spend the rest of the time dodging and taunting. It's what Jesus would do.

  3. you'd be surprised!

Drum is right. Learning about 15 instruments minimum, being able to read/transcribe music on the fly, composing in different styles, knowing the differences between eras of early music and practicing your given instrument + vocals takes a large amount of work.

Ironically, most of the physics majors I know find their homework to be tediously easy since it comes so naturally to them.

  4. Hazama's Genso Suikoden is extremely relaxing.

Just Chill by the Pancake Chef

    Another Inspiration by Scott Peeples

    Klutz's 600 A.d. In Piano

Morning Sunlight by Sephfire and SirRus.

There are plenty more, but ultimately it is you who decides what is relaxing. I know some things that relax me, make others tense.

  5. I'd imagine that the community here would be willing to compose for any type of indie game.

Though, no one is likely to be interested unless you have a demo, or at least something to show how far you are in development. Not a good strategy to just waltz in and say "I am thinking about making a game, need music plz."

And I'm fairly sure that if the game maker offered compensation that there would be a lot of interest from the talent pool.

  6. Phijayy, you could judge over 2000 songs in a single channel during the prelims and not run across your song once. The top 20 selections are largely in part made by the masses who are unaware of your work.

I know you might feel that your chances are being narrowed by the fact that OCR artists are getting votes from their fanbase. EVERYONE who enters lowers your chances. If you look amongst the contestants there are other bands and artists (such as Admiral Twin) who are consistently making top 20 all around. Success isn't generally a fluke.

I highly encourage people to go in blindly to this and just vote for what they think is better. You might be surprised how many times that goes in OCR's favor this late in the game, regardless of previous fandom.
