  1. Nice, nice - this compo's moving along fairly well 1 or more will make it a full round indeed
  2. Can't comment on that yet, but I'll let you know in my vote edit
  3. Fixed it, thanks for letting me know mike. Sweet, thanks for participating Kat!
  4. Probably not that high of a bar since (from what I've gathered). I'm not 100% sure; it's probably best if you ask the coordinator.

  5. I'll remind everyone here in this thread - I don't generally bug people on their pm's unless there's literally 0 entries...after an extension or 2.
  6. Good pick Gercr! I love me some MMX, especially Kuwanger's stage, rivalled only by (imo) Spark Mandrill's! Also, I think (more or less) that MIDI 1 is more accurate, but both are functional.
  7. Compo: MnP (Meat 'n Potatoes) Round 28: Megaman Man X - Boomer Kawanger Hi there. Happy holidays ! My pick is: Boomer Kuwanger from Megaman X. Have fun! -gercr Midi 1 Midi 2 Deadline: Jan 8 @ 2PM Thurs Vote Ends: Jan 10 @ 8PM Sat Submit your remix Here when completed. **If you have technical difficulty with account activation at ThaSauce, please contact Ramaniscence via pm** MISSION STATEMENT The goal of Compo:MnP is to promote that "meat and potatoes" conservative approach to remixing: this includes the mood and composition of source tunes. It is up to the remixer to create their own personalization, or to simply give it a sound upgrade. Moreover, the compo is a great opportunity to hone your remixing skills and give video game music the respect that is due. SOME reinterpretation is recommended, but not required. MnP Instructions/Guidelines 1. Covers and Sound Upgrades are permitted. 2. Most or all of the source notes must be present (but not necessarily in the exact same order), secondly the mood (energy, pacing, feelings being conveyed etc) should also be retained. For example, a source tune that is fast-paced and energetic that's remixed into a mellow/chill-out theme would be a hard sell. 3. If you decide to do a genre swap (i.e. symphonic to techno), make sure that the conditions of #2 are met. 4. Submissions must be at a maximum of 20mb (keeping in step with ThaSauce's file size max). 5. Only 1 entry per participant. Previous winner cannot participate but can submit a BONUS entry. 6. All competitors and voters must adhere to the rules stated within: Competition Code and Conduct MISC/TIPS - When picking a source tune, make sure it has a MIDI to make ppl's lives easier. - In-game sound FX are permitted, so long as they don't comprise the whole track (i.e. replacing entire MIDI tracks with just sfx) - Certain sad or moody source tunes don't have drums or percussion for a reason. So keeping it that way may be the easiest way to retain much of the original feel, such as and
  8. I'll need some poking and prodding probably as the due date nears =p
  9. Possibly. I seem to have two of those directory one in C:/Program Files and one in C:/Program Files(x86) - maybe I'll try reinstalling hpse into the (x86) if not then I will try your suggestion.
  10. Well it works as a standalone. And the install path is now where Neblix suggested I put it (Program Files>VSTplugins). No issues with registration (when i used the standalone). It's just not showing up in the list of VSTs within FL, even after refreshing the list. So something funky is going on for sure.
  11. oh I see. I'll give that a shot, thanks Neblix. EDIT It didn't work. Oh wellz - I'll have to improvise. q.q
  12. Yeah I guess so >.< - I'll see in a year or two perhaps. In the meantime, I s'pose I can just rely on rhythmic stuff and maybe a very layered guitar lead so it doesn't feel too exposed Also, are you running FL Studio Timaeus? Was wondering if you know about how to get hpse amp working properly
  13. Aight thanks Timaeus! I'll use that video as my reference...still unsure if I can do it w/out a MIDI keyboard (might grab one way later on, but for now it isn't really a feasible option for me). But that won't stop me from trying EDIT I will definitely exploit that slop feature for sure lol.
  14. Ohhh yeah sequencing can be a pain lol. I've given Shreddage 2 a bit of a spin as well; seems pretty solid. But for some reason my keyswitches only seem to work when they want to lol. Is it because I'm not using a MIDI keyboard? Also, Revalver hpse won't show up in my VST plugins list, despite that I installed it into Image-Line>Plugins>VST. edit 1 Also thanks for the tips AngelcityOutlaw ^^ edit 2 Oops forgot to mention that I'm running FL Studio 11. Anyone using FL and have hpse Revalver, and had a similar issue?
  15. Does shreddage II require a lot of automation to sound realistic, or is it minimal effort?
  16. Aw shucks, thanks Rozo ^.^ - I didn't think that the mix is that bad, maybe a bit lower-mid heavy but meh, I like that retro compressed feel lol.
  17. Nice work, good sound quality and very MnP! Looks like you win by default too, being the only eligible entry So pick the source for round 28 gercr!! edit Also, very good work with your Bonus entry supercoolmike! It's reaaal swag - both entries are sexy - makes me wish I threw in a bonus too...but reasons. aka too lazy
  18. Still isn't showing up as uploaded here Edit Oh and I extended the round so you can upload it...that might've been the problem =p
  19. Woot! Downloading now - looking forward to hearing 'em all!
  20. Amen to that; gotta keep the vg remix scene alive
