I did! As for Risk, I think it takes too long. I prefer shorter group games these days like Bang! or Settlers of Catan.

It's not the challenge that really bothers me - it's the atmosphere + L4D is mostly a co-op game, and those type of games have bored me quickly in general (either type). Newer console games look like ass on SDTVs now with all of the overload of effects they do now. GTA IV was near unplayably bad, and games like Lost Odyssey looked questionable at times on my shitty SDTV before.

So I beat single player on the demo and...perhaps I'm the only one, but I don't care much for L4D. The creepy type of atmosphere just doesn't do it for me in games, and I got disinterested pretty quickly. I don't think multiplayer would change that for me at all either.

It could be the broadcast signal - the programming has to be designed for HD, and even then sometimes the networks (or in this case whoever designed the programming for the TV advertising) suck ass with it. I agree that oftentimes in store it looks kinda shitty or it's impossibly hard to tell the difference, but at home it's a completely different beast (assuming you picked a good TV).

Well I don't know what happened last Saturday, but as for this one, maybe it was because I added a lot of new maps to the server? Also, I'm going to try to add/fix the Extend Map option sometime this week.

I just tested it, all map cfgs are supposed to be in the root cfg folder in order to work...which is nice! For example, does anyone want specific round settings instead of time limit settings for maps like dustbowl, goldrush, or badwater? How about time settings to be changed to a mix of round limits for maps like well or granary? Edit: Was it for an antagonistic reason, or because he's busy or what?

So...from what I've read elsewhere, it turns out that I was supposed to just put any map specific cfgs in the root cfg folder...so anyone want any map specific settings? i.e. alltalk, map time limit, round limit, etc.

Btw, does anyone want map changes to be based off of rounds completed or by time?

Updated the map list in the first post. I recommend people downloading all of these maps and putting them in the map folder, as some of them are quite large. In addition, what was the consensus on pl_strider? I never got to try it out

They're just fine. Especially in a single player game, the difference is trivial.
