Yup. There's literally nothing I can add here, the song just needs some additional development on multiple fronts before it can pass the bar. I really do like what you've got now but it just needs something more to push it over the edge! NO (resub!)

I'm really digging your sound choices here. I suppose they're pretty traditional for a track in this genre, but the end result still feels very unique and personalized. The staccato strings are a really nice touch too. Ultimately, it's probably my favorite of the many Splash Woman tracks you've done There's definitely some performance/sequencing sloppiness throughout the track, but it's all so minor that I can't see it dragging this one down. YES

That's just temporary placeholder crap I threw together for the thread, it's not going to be included as part of any final artwork package as far as I'm aware of.

Update: Enchanted Riverbank is more or less done, now we're just waiting on Theophany to come back from vacation so he can drop Fishy's solo into his mix, finalize it, and then we can call this done Just a little longer!

As much as I'd like to YES this, since it definitely has a lot of merit as a track, there's certain aspects of it that, for lack of a better word, irritate me as a listener and I just can't get over it :\ The repetitive structure is just stretched out too far past my personal limit. I don't claim to speak for OCR's overall opinion on extended "club-style" mixes like this, but personally I feel like you're trying to push the very minimal number of patterns that aren't always conducive to repetition (like that slide riff on the bass) and by about halfway through I feel like it's just not going anywhere with the arrangement. I struggled for a long time with this vote because the production is great and your sound choices all work really well, but the arrangement would need to be trimmed down, or some of the later section filled out with additional instrumentation in order to win me over on this. NO (resubmit!)

Ok, some good and bad news. Bad news is, we're officially cutting our losses with the AkumajoBelmont version of Enchanted. We've been waiting almost 2 years for that track to come together and after going through literally 4 or 5 different iterations, it's still nowhere closer to complete than it was 2 years ago. As a consolation, I'll post all the works in progress that we had for Enchanted in the next day or so, so you guys can at least have some listening material for the time being. The GOOD NEWS is that Flexstyle, being the saintly hero that he is, has already started on a totally different mix for the source that should be finished in the next week. It's totally cheeseball and while it doesn't aim to mimic or replace what Akuma and co.'s vision for Enchanted Riverbank, I guarantee it will be fun and extremely catchy. So yeah, that means that we seriously can have this project wrapped up in the next week or so. The biggest bottleneck now is just waiting for Theophany to get back from vacation so he can finalize Beneath the Moonlight and Distant Dreams on Stormy Seas and render final WAVs for both of them. This is a major step towards completion, I hope you all will forgive us (read: me) for the huge amount of time spent waiting for these two tracks. It's been a hell of an ordeal but I can confidently say that we're REALLY in the home stretch now. I appreciate all your patience, we're ALMOST THERE!!

I can now officially say that WE HAVE FISHY'S GUITAR SOLO FOR BENEATH THE MOONLIGHT IN HAND! This is happening! Thanks for the help Cain! We're getting closer! I'm not sure words can properly express how unbelievable it is to have Theophany, Harmony, Fishy, and Jeff Ball all contributing to the same track that clocks in at over 9 minutes in length. This will be a remix of legendary status.

Damn, I'm only 10 songs deep into this and already I've almost given exclusively 3's and 4's. I may be throwing off the curve here but I seriously think the majority of this is incredibly enjoyable. I feel like I'm a lot more enthused about these remixes than most of the rest of you Those of you who entered did a fantastic job IMO, from what I can tell so far. I'm not feeling the "too much techno" criticism either... at least, not so far. I'm feeling a nice balance of styles so far, with a bit of a bias toward jazz and electronica. It's been interesting trying to guess who did what track, too. I think I've got most of them, but I guess we'll see if I'm right a few weeks from now. Good luck all

These last three songs have been incredible. Seven Years... is just beautifully performed/sequenced (I can't even tell, care to provide some input on your music-making process? Either way, it's a testament to your skills) and so pleasing on the ears. I could listen to this unfold again and again all night. These recent songs seem like they're more polished than usual, as well. I'm not noticing as many timing issues with some instruments lately, and the production overall too seems to be even more realistic. I absolutely love how this is progressing. Keep it up man, I can't wait til you start getting to some of the later themes. You're doing great and improving with each song. (just watch your limiter on some of the tracks, I hear clipping here and there! )
