  1. Episode 20 http://roosterteeth.com/archive/?id=5923 Just when I thought it couldn't get any more epic. It just keeps getting better and better. I love 3:12
  2. So currently we have: FF1: Random Encounter FF4: Echos of Betrayal, Light of Redemption FF5: The Fabled Warriors FF6: Balance and Ruin (in progress) FF7: Voices of the Lifestream FF9: (in progress) FF10: Hurry (mini project) And now we're going to add on FF3. Well, no complaints here.
  3. Just went for a run. Was kind of cold so I wasn't sure if I wanted to go the full distance. Then the rain started spitting at me so I reconsidered again. At one lap around the lake I changed my mind and decided to climb an interesting hill. Then my MP3 player ran out of batteries and I called it quits. Only got in 2 miles. Speaking of which, what kind of music do you listen to while exercising? This guy has some amazing workout music. http://opus-xero.com/contents/music.html Here's a sample. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCWsuAIAtew
  4. Just joined. A little history: I worked at a store during my 4 years of collage and there was a lot of lifting and whatnot. I stayed at 180lbs for years doing no real exercise other than that job and ultimate frisbee every Thursday night. Then I quit my job, moved to Ohio, and started my year long internship. (4 months of class work, 8 months of clinical work.) Most of my time was spent hunched over a book. (the classwork was 25 credits. That means 11 400level classes in one semester.) During this time, I gained 30 lbs and I have never been able to lose it again. And believe me, I've tried. I was on a vegetable and cereal diet for a month while running 3-4 miles a day and I still didn't lose a pound. Even after that, I currently still go running around 3 days a week and it has never produced any results. I really need some help.
  5. Just did Final Fantasy VII "Truth In Forgiveness Await" http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01201/ can't beileve it got all the way to the very end of page 60.
  6. Well, my friend told me the meaning of the title years ago.... Truth. In. Forgiveness. Await. = T.I.F.A. And it was also one of the very first pieces that I heard on OCR back when I discovered the site in 2006. (wow, was it really that long ago?) I probably went through OCR's list like everyone else did. First I checked out songs from games I liked, then I checked out songs from artists that impressed me from the first list of titles. Then I just downloaded the whole of OCR and twice now I have listened to all of it from front to back alphabetically. But this song came up as one of the firsts and I immediately fell in love with it. The idea of a piano in a piece like this (probably because the piano collections version is so popular) is just perfect. But then we start jamming out to the rock version at the end and it just ties it together beautifully and adds the finale that it needed. It's just too bad that nothing from The Risen Dayspring ever came up again on the front page. I would have liked to have heard more from them.
  7. Episode 19 DO NOT MISS THIS ONE!!! http://roosterteeth.com/archive/?id=5845 Here's an interesting post from the roosterteeth forum. Unidentified Blue Soldier may be the caboose... They both can't throw. They both seem to be pretty lucky with explosive rounds. Also they both have the same assult rifle. Caboose is the only member of the blue team that uses it. And as seen in this episode the assult rifle used by the blue freelancer is different then south's as seen as the the escape pod launches out of the sea but is the same as caboose's. Caboose may even be a AI, he is incredably strong, doesnt really speak of pain, always wants to be around church, seems to be ok with the other AI's, and seems to be the only one who knows how to install and uninstall Church into any eqiupment. And he may be the trait of stupidity or some other lesser trait which may explain why the Meta was not interested in him. A choice between logic and stupidity is not a hard choice!
  8. They sold the Uncharted 3 superslim bundle before I got there, so I came back with a 120gig slim model. You know what's absolutely horrible? I just checked my trophys and it says that I don't have the platinum for Ratchet and Clank 1. Only a couple of them. But the ones I do have include the RYNO (a very very hard trophy to get and one of the last ones I got). In other words, I'm going to need to platinum it all over again. This bites because I didn't really care for that game. I think the biggest concern I had was that you had to be extremely close to bolts to pick them up. I might have to do the glitch to get all the bolts at once.
  9. I like this idea. I'm going to contribute as soon as I get off work. Right now I have a patient behind me going through a bone scan so I can't play anything. In other words, this post is to subscribe and remind me to do it later. And before you guys just tell me to hit the "Subscribe to thread" button, by posting this comment it makes me accountable to actually get it done.
  10. We get a normal red light for power. When you press the power button, I get a flash of a yellow light, 3 beeps, then it shuts down.
  11. Episode 18 http://roosterteeth.com/archive/?id=5800
  12. Well, normally I wouldn't complain from all my save files because I rarely go load an old saved file to play around with it. I'd just start up a new game. The only exception being mgs4 where you can keep your drebin points. But the reason this sucks for me is that I am trying to platinum all 3 Ratchet and Clank games from the HD collection. I'm done with the first one and half way done with the second one. I actually got to save probably around 400,000 bolts because Insomniac allows all the weapons from game 1 to be free (and fully upgraded) in game 2 if you bought them previously. I wont be able to do that unless I play through game 1 again. OH NO!!! I already toughed it out and got the speed demon trophy from game 2 and I was just so close to fully upgrading my ship. (It takes forever to gather enough of the special resources to do that.) EDIT: Just called PS3 support and they said that if I were to put in a new hard drive into any system, it would reformat it. My plan was to take my old 40gig HD and put it into a new system, back up my data, and put the new HD back in. But it doesn't look like I will be able to do that. Any ideas on how to get my data off of my (probably) working HD? EDIT2: Called game store 70 miles away. They have a superslim Uncharted 3 bundle and it sounds like it would be the best thing that I could do in my situation. U3 is also on my games-to-play list anyway so it works out.
  13. Well my ps3 just died. The exact moment my oven timer went off, the console errored out and wont start again. It's an old 40 gig fat model from back in 2008 and I was wondering what it would take to try and save my files from it. Also, since I'm here in small town, USA, I would have to drive 70 miles to find the nearest game store. Should I try to get online or go for a drive?
  14. Episode 17 http://roosterteeth.com/archive/?id=5757 Woah! Tex is blonde.
  15. Hey, happy birthday Brandon. Getting anything cool or doing anything special?
  16. http://roosterteeth.com/archive/?id=5676 Episode 16 You mean to tell me that this whole time, there was an engineer in the sarcophagus?
  17. Oh and also, I've noticed a trend when it comes to metal gear solid games. 1. They always take an incredibly long development cycle. 2. They spoil the whole game in it's trailers. 3. They are always perfect. (as in extremely fine tuned. Have you ever seen a significant glitch?) And seeing as Ground Zeroes is going to be an open world metal gear game, I can't imagine how long it is going to be in development. Not only because of all the normal work, but because open world games always have many glitches and they are going to make sure they wont have any such post release problems. Look at infamous, fallout, skyrim, gta. So again, is anyone willing to play co-op peace walker on PS3 with me?
  18. MGS3 was one of those games so dear to me that I didn't want to overplay it in fear that it would become so stale.
  19. Metal gear is among the top franchises out there. To give you a little background, I've beaten each game this many times: MGS1: 8 times MGS2: 4 times MGS3: 3 times MGS4: 9 times MGS portable ops: 2 times MGS peace walker: 0 times MG1: 0 times MG2: 0 times My plan was to wait until the mgs collection comes out and play all of them in chronological order to make the most epic video game journey you could ever have. It's been about 3.5 years since I played any of the games. Well, the trailer for Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes came out(trailer here) and I immediately turned it off when it mentioned that a certain character from peace walker was still alive. Don't want any spoilers after all. When that trailer came out I ordered the collection and I have it here in front of me. Now I want your advice. Should I wait until Ground Zeroes comes out to do this series? Or should I go through it now? If one of you is willing to play through peace walker with me on ps3 I'd do it now, because I did play the demo to death and I would really like to do it co-op style.
  20. Just for the heck of it, here's a really good fan-made video about project freelancer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=712P5kDrNR8 worth the watch.
