  1. If Ra were cheaper I might go for it. You can't be bargained with?
  2. Whenever I open up a .gig, .nki, .akp, etc and save the project, the files are usually not saved in DW and I have to locate them again when I open the project the next time. Is this supposed to happen? I don't see the point of allowing so many file types to open in DW if it can't save them.
  3. It's not so bad when you look at the prices of other synths.
  4. mp3 - http://myspace.com/awesomelycoolstuff flp - http://www.sendspace.com/file/2zfe23 I just had to keep messing with it and I still don't like certain parts. Bah. Not one of my finer pieces.
  5. Well that didn't work either. The "url" at the front just disappears when I save it.
  6. Apparently this sig didn't work itself out right. What am I doing wrong?
  7. My vote is to allow it next round. Best to keep things as they are when a competition is this far in.
  8. What a surprise to find some life breathed back into this thing... Yeah dude, you have to have mad skillz to make mad synth sounds in this competition. Don't midi rip though. Put a little effort in. I recommend playing with the 3xosc for a while and see if you can't get something interesting out of it. Layer a few and make use of FX to get better results. Edit: So I thought I put the banner thing in my sig, but I don't see anything there. I'm pretty sure I copied it properly. I don't normally post image links around here so I probably don't know what I'm doing.
  9. How much is a "cut of the sales" and how many CDs do you normally sell? I am asking only out of curiosity and will consider entering regardless of the answer. You guys should be afraid of me too. I want to feel cool and powerful.
  10. I can't help you with the RAM issue. Searching the web will probably get you faster results than this site.
  11. If you have a legit version, you shouldn't have to buy anything. Updates are free. You don't normally save multiple versions of the same project? I save a new one before every major change. If you do that you can go back and not have to redo as much if something gets screwed up.
  12. I'm tempted to drop $20 for that. As much as I don't like pre-added distortion, I can live with it for that price.
  13. E.S. Posthumus has epic trailer type music that, not surprisingly, is used in trailers. Check them out if you haven't already.
  14. It is true that Miroslav is not one of the top dogs and anyone who thinks it is should definitely be warned, but Miroslav is not without merit (IMO) and I wanted to point that out as well. There will be issues no matter what library you use. They can be minimized by getting a better set of sounds but with current technology there is always something that won't sound like the real deal. I'm also pushing this because of how inexpensive this group buy is and how much stuff you can get in addition to Miroslav. If the library was $500 on its own as it usually is, I wouldn't be so quick to recommend it.
  15. I can have something done before Christmas. Next week is finals week so after that I will have a lot more time to do stuff. Personally I think we should finish out what we've started here and see how much participation there is. We've got three (including mine that I will finish) for sure before Christmas. If you guys just want to finish this up and move on to something else, December 20-something could be the official last day. Judging could start shortly after. Waiting around for people to enter doesn't bother me so I'd be fine with Bundeslang joining up later. The more the merrier.
  16. Nay. There are epointz to factor in as well. $40-60 off for people in the last group buy and anyone else who has some saved up. As I said, this deal is for the budget minded. If a person has the money, by all means go out and get something better. A hobbyist musician who is not totally bent on uber quality will be able to enjoy this material. Greater return? I guarantee anyone using squidfont will be much happier with this. I mean, you may as well take audio production classes and set up a studio in your house while you're out buying meticulously sampled individual instruments. All I'm saying is that there are people who can benefit from something like this and there are people who will want something more. Oh please, computers are practically outdated after you get the package home. Most people I know have computers comparable to Miroslav's quality in the sampling world and they get along fine.
  17. I'm no expert on orchestral libraries, but I have to disagree with anyone who flat out calls this a bad investment. The sounds are not THAT bad. Yes, better libraries exist, but you will pay more for them too. This deal is for the budget minded people. Anyone who has epointz stacked up will get an even better deal than the rest of the people who sign up and the Sampletank library makes it that much sweeter. I'm mainly talking to Nasenmann here since I know he's got the ST player from the last group buy - if you want variety, jump on this deal. If you want a better orchestral library, East West has Gold + XP for $445 on their website. That's a hell of a deal too, but it depends on what you want. I certainly won't turn down a referral offer. My esoundz name is Smenelian.
  18. New update that might interest some people... There is an option to ditch the Philharmonik player and get the Sampletank XL sound set for free if you join the group buy and email the website telling them that's what you want. If you have the Sampletank 2.5 player this is a great deal, assuming you are interested in Sampletank and Philharmonik. A more detailed description by Squids is here: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=199912&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=45
  19. Did you join the last one that I posted, Nasenmann? Don't forget the one for Reason: http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?ProductID=1791
  20. I don't know how much of this I can do before college finals. It kind of sucks, but I actually have to study for once. We should totally submit them to OCR (instead of OLR) and see who comes the closest to passing...lolz. I dunno. Are you guys in a hurry to get this done or anything?
  21. Finally some replies! I thought at least a few people would want in on this. It qualifies the buyer to crossgrade to other IK products too, in addition to being a great deal already. I like how they keep giving more stuff away the more people sign up.
  22. Damn...Thanksgiving week really owned me. Didn't get to finish my entry like I thought.
  23. Well, over a hundred people have signed up so far and it has reached the $199 price point...apparently if they reach 200 people they will throw in 6 Sonik Capsules for free. Is no one here interested in this? Here's the thread where most of the action seems to be happening: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=197109&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=270
