agreed, the mario sports games all have good music; it would be cool to see a compilation album but i'd settle for a couple good remixes

Ditto the LOL'ing at 3-4 boss. Though I must say I was a bit hurt when one of the true/false questions was "video game soundtracks are so high-techhniiiicaaaalllll!"
But I mean, he has a point and stuff.

yeah rod i was very happy to see that. like 2 days after i put this up there are 2 wips in the work.
Me likey

look under other kirby games. the original song is Green Greens. believe me they're there.

As good as it may sound, it won't ever pass. This is like the song from the movie almost to a t. sorry, but i can't see this ever working out.

Wow. I'm a big fan of this already, and I only played this game like twice. Ever. I don't know if its what you're looking for or not, but it seems pretty obvious that the guitars aren't real. Also, the cymbal crash is really tinny. Once again, both of those could be just how you want it, but they both stuck out to me personally. I like this a lot, and I hope you keep working on it!

He's talking about the team behind www.pandora.com. what they've done is gotten as much music as they could get their hands on, and put it into a streaming radio database. If you go to the site it all becomes clear (make an account and whatnot, its all free either way) but generally what it does is it takes aspects of songs you like, such as tempo, recording style, and musical signatures and gives you others just like it.
They'll take your CD and put it on streaming radio for free, so it might be worth it. Or if he's talking about something else completely different, then I apologize for the confusion. Seriously though, check out pandora.com, its amazing, and if you give them your music they'll put it in with the rest of it.

I think people didn't like it because it didn't really fit the feel of the rest of the album. You're drifting along, listening to mostly uptempo, pseduo-electronic music, and all of a sudden it goes straight to a single piano. I agree individually it's great, but if you're listening to the whole album it really does stick out like a sore thumb.

haha i do the exact same thing joefu. its probably the best habit i could possibly have. not only that it puts me to sleep like no other; once you're done its out like a light for me.
mmm. light.

i'm a big fan of the beginning. it reminds me of a little kid mischeviously creeping around. it sounds a little bit muddy in spots, almost as if there's just a little too much reverb, but i think aside from that it sounds just fine. can't wait to see where you're going with this.

I've got a question about this project. I think its an awesome sweet idea, and I can't wait for it to be done. But how are you planning on integrating it into the site? is there going to be a bio database, or will you only be able to find the one of whose picture is in the top right corner? i was curious about how that would work.

mmm pokemon.... new one comes out the 22nd, so excited.
Anyhow, i had no idea there was a poke project going on, that's awesome! I'm looking forwards to hearing it.

I could not disagree more with the lone ranger. I think you could put in mix #2 right now and have a winner. This is unlike anything else on the site, its completely unique, and it sounds great. Its completely overworked by your improv, but its still very easy to see what it is. which is exactly what you want. LOVE IT.
-
I am required to agree with arek; the inclusion of "y" on the end of the word sex would take away from just how sex this mix is. i want more, can't get enough. that's not sexy, that's sex.

niice. i feel so special, i put up a request for dk64 and now there's 2 wips. unfortunately this is probably just coincidence. but anyhow.
i would have to say while its a good start, the bass moog is just a crappy sample. that could sound much better. and of course as its a wip, it could use some mastering (for instance that same moog seems overpowering sometimes) but i'm sure you can work that out. its a good start, keep it up.
-
I'm loving this so far. its bare, but its a good start. my input would be that i love the drums but put in a little bit of variation here and there. they stay the same the entire time, and even an extra kick or snare or ANYthing makes it that much more interesting to listen to. keep going though, this can be really good.
-
nah, just some things get noticed and others don't. my first request thread got no response, so don't worry about it too much. btw probably add the game name next time in the thead name. but yeah, don't worry about it, i liked that song too and i'd love to hear it redone.

at the same time, any hardcore smash player will tell you that you have to be there, with the person you're playing. over the internet would just lose some of the meaning of a good battle, so personally even if its just tagged on i won't mind too much. as long as there's normal vs. i'm ok with it.
-
I think the tracks from DK64 would make for great mixes. They're the same if not better quality as conker and other rare games, and there's not a single one on ocr at the time. Does anyone want to pick this up?
-
Could I get you to do a full remix with the feel of the intro? No? Oh well. The whole thing is great but the intro could be a song on its own. Love it.
-
Please finish this! I know I posted recently, but I've found myself coming back to listen just to this sample, and I'm still loving it. Sorry if its obnoxious, but this sounds really good, keep on it!
-
Hey all! I'm also new here; I've been mooching off the albums and remixes for awhile but have just recently joined. I used to do a lot of tinkering with Fruityloops... 3.4. I hope once I get to college I'll have the time and money (for programs and such) to learn how to compose half as well as most of you people. I've wanted to for a long time, and I'm doing my best to pick things up along the way! I hope I can make some sort of difference here.

I really like this so far. My only technical concern is that the bells are a little bit too floaty and sometimes end up sounding muddy. I think having them be a bit more "solid" could help. Other than that, it sounds great, and I'm sure the creative part you'll have taken care of.
-
I think it sounds sweet. My biggest concern is at the beginning, with the accordion-sounding sample, is that its playing both the background chords and the lead harmony with the same instrument. for the most part it works ok, but even a slight variation in instruments for that would make it so much better. Just my input, good work though!

hey quick question; this project is teh sweet just by principle alone, but i was wondering if anyone would like to toss out a brief description of the album art for those of us who are interested. that is, if its possible
