I know i'm just some random dude and this isn't the thread for it, but PLEASE PLEASE finish your devil's lab remix? hearing dirt devil on the front page reminded me of your mix, not even the original from the game, and i'd love to see that be a permanent part of the site. hopefully some encouragement for what was an excellent mix to get finished.

I haven't posted at all in awhile but I think this post is worth it. Bump for "this is still excellent, possible progress update if you can!" And of course, much congratulations on the Uematsu remix competition.

Lol, wow. Are you guys that inconsiderate of others?! Can you not respect mine and other's wishes to put spoilers in white text? Or do you only bother to respect your own wishes?
I know for a fact that me and Drack feel the same way. Does white text make you work too hard? Aw, boo hoo! Lazy good-for-nothings...
Arek, you puzzle me the most, since your very first post showed that YOU wanted all of the spoilers in white text in the first place. So now you berate me for asking others to uphold to YOUR topic's standards?! That doesn't make any sense!
And my horse is high? I've seen many a trollish post from both Arek and Atma (balls-shouter)! And you call me an "asshole"?! Don't make me laugh!
Its more that the only comment you posted was about how the thread sucked and was inept, and said NOTHING about the game itself. You didn't even have a comment on the game, you didn't then and you don't now, so why even come to the thread at all? Its like going to a resturaunt and complaining about how much it sucks, only to leave without ordering anything at all. Just don't open your mouth if you want to talk shit about nothing.
All you have is a bad attitude.

Alrighty, will do. Just put up some SSE cutscenes, go check em out!

I would rather be in control of the original post, so I am going to have to decline.
No offense, I just would really like to be "in charge" of the first post considering I have a lot I am going to be frequently editing when the need comes.
You will understand later.
That's fine with me, we can get the mods to lock this and you can restart it. Feel free to use any of the stuff I have in the first post, its organized into a couple small things and if its useful its all yours.

This is great and all, but I was actually planning on remaking the Smash bros thread later today.
I got a lot of info gathered that was necessary to make it, so I have a huge thread written up already
I will post it later.
Ah... sorry about that, I feel like this would be more suited to be your thread. Whatever you want to put up I can also put into the first post if you want, just so we have all of the info in the same place. Let me know what you want to do.
Edit: Also, this goes for anyone. If you have any videos or good information you think people would want to see, post it and I'll do my best to organize it all into the front page unless arek wants to do it.

There are a couple of videos up on gametrailers with matches that have yet unheard tracks on them... they're SO GOOD.

Link vs. Metaknight at Halberd, playing a speed metal remix of the song playing in the Kirby 64 stage. *creams*

Pit vs. Samus vs. Zelda vs. Metaknight at Delfino plaza, playing a sweet mix of Super Mario World theme. Also too good.

This blew me away! They picked the PERFECT songs, and these are just the starting ones. Ship Deck 2 from DKC2 is the best choice ever and I'd never even thought of it. The sheer number of songs in this game totally makes up for the midi-ness.
Also, I second Jam Stunna.
Double point in quote!
But yeah, there's like at least four or five songs per stage on average, some of which are completely awesome, some of which are just completely unexpected (and also awesome) like the Mario and Luigi song. To imagine that there's just gonna be like three times that many possibly.

Hey all, I know the last Brawl thread got locked, so if this is inappropriate please lock this as well, but I figure now that its coming out in Japan it would be nice to have a place to put all the info people might want to know, like characters, stages and whatnot. Especially since smashboards is like broken, and brawlcentral is suspended. So any information that people have can be left in this thread, I'm sure there are plenty of people who would love to hear it!
Confirmed Characters, notably the new ones not on the dojo *spoilered below*
Lucario, Luigi, G&W, R.O.B., Falco, Marth, C. Falcon, Wind Waker Link, Ganondorf, Ness.

These movies have a bunch of pictures from the SSE, some showing new or previously unconfirmed characters as well.

SSE Cutscenes:

Hilarious Coincedence:
(The 300 trailer music matches this TOO WELL)Also, I know this might be hard and I don't really have much/any sway here, but please try not to flame characters and stuff, because then this thread will get locked again for sure. Try and keep this professional if at all possible.

Lol, no kidding. I personally have spent a good amount of time cruising the GameFAQs Brawl board, and this thread only manages to be slightly more intelligent.
Well we were doing a pretty good job til you showed up. srsly. Congrats on the de-evolution of this thread.

...i think sounding like presets is kinda not good.. anyhow. more than that they sound kinda standard, and could use sprucing up imo.
-
WIP stands for Work In Progress, which either means its exactly that, or it wasn't completely finished when it was put out.

I live in Hanover, New Hampshire, the town which just got overran with politicians, and then promptly abandoned.
-
please please PLEASE change the drum kit! please! i'm actually a fan of this but the drums are easily recognizable as presets. also, this piece could use a bit more dynamic spectrum, there aren't any real high highs or low lows, i.e. none of the instruments stands out at any point. its kind of a wall of sound if you will. I agree with everyone else arrangement is good, but working on the dynamics and drum set would make it sound better. and maybe the bass synth too, that seems a bit tacky to me. its good though, nice work
-
your point? your joke paints a blank expression on my face.
-
i love this, though i could note the disconnect between the quality of the drums and the quality of the rest of the instruments. it felt kinda like the other instruments weren't quite as realistic as the percussion, which makes sense given your expertise with such, but it was noticable. I think its sweet anyways, its about time you submitted something! I still think your 600 A.D. marimba improvs would have been shoeins.

Because she has a female voice.
Since we're on the topic of sex and pokemon, which of the original gym leaders would you prefer to bang? Haha. Many-a good conversations when I was 9.
oh lord.....qfe.

atma you're our favorite because despite all your trolling you're still endearing. that's the big difference.
-
From a completely non-professional standpoint, I like it! I'll put in some actual constructive criticism later, but don't be too hard on yourself, you've got a decent track here.
-
I hope this doesn't mean you're giving up on your other two tracks... that would be such a waste of talent and potential. Anywhoo, this is also nice and above average.
I'd have to say there are two things that bug me. One is that that the part after 2:08 or so isn't balanced very well in terms of sound volumes; its not horrible but each instrument drowns out the other a little bit, could use some leveling. Also, the percussion part on its own (ex. 1:16-17, 1:19-20) sounds dinky. It could use a much higher quality drum. It took me out of the moment when I heard that part imparticular so maybe find a better font for that.
As far as the song itself is concerned I don't have a lot of criticism. Its solid writing, and whatever problems there may be I can't notice them. Good work indeed.

So who's gonna send this guy a line and tell him about OCR? I'm sure there are tons of people here who would put down game-oriented beats for him if he had other games to rap for, or just use these ones over diff. beats. I'd love to see that.
-
checked it out, and agreed! though more responses would have been nice...

I'm trying to help a friend of mine put together a lira act of theirs (for anyone who doesn't know, its the acrobatics with the person generally contorting in a ring) and I need help with tracks. One they liked happened to be Flying Heaven from Blood on the Asphalt and I've got a couple others, but I don't have much ethnic/ethereal music with much energy. Ideas?
-
This... this cannot be. I dismiss your claim.
