I think the reason i like this mix so much is that on two different levels it delivers. For one, its a straight up good song, and even without the references to zelda it makes for a great tune. Then, with the zelda riffs, it gets even better because you're enjoying how awesome of a OCmix this is. Its the kind of song you could play to a non gaming friend and they'd like it anyways, unlike some of the stuff here which is more gamers-only. Great stuff!

As said by many now, this mix owns face. One interesting note, the very beginning reminds me of rayman 2 every time. The opening echo sounds just like samples from that game. Of course after that it goes straight into mario-y goodness, but i thought i'd say so. Great stuff! It blends really well, and just overall sounds great.

I've got 3359 songs, which is 8.6 days or 14.94 GB. Its a good amount considering I started my collection two years ago, but its bound to get much larger soon. Most of what I listen to now is stuff from OCR or just gaming soundtracks, along with some drum and bass in there.

I would like to request some of the music from Mario RPG, specifically the Barrel Volcano bgm and the boss fight music. While there are lots of great tracks to be had there those two pop out at me as ones that could be taken a lot of different places.
(On an unrelated note, this is my first post here! I love the music but have just joined recently, and maybe if i'm lucky i'll learn some of the arrangement trade myself.)
Anyhow, if anyone likes the sound of these, please go for it. I'd love to hear them!

To echo what everyone else has said, it sounds good, but its just the same old song. One thing that I thought would sound awesome in my head was during the held notes of the melody (of which there are many) i think you could put in distortion guitar riffs. this screams to me rock song, so maybe some guitars and improv are in order? great sound so far though.
