  1. Seriously, we would really like some updates, or at LEAST an estimate at when the project will be done...

I don't mean to speak for Arek being that I have never posted in this thread ever but I'm pretty sure it'll still be a while before this is released, even if it is done, given that OCR has like fifty bajillion projects waiting to be released.

(if this is false, feel free to ignore me?)

  2. Mega Man 2 for worst game music? You must've been on crack when you nominated that game. Its music is some of the catchiest shit ever.

He was referring to the game boy versions, if that makes any difference. The NES version is pretty much sex and anyone who says otherwise is gettin' punched over the internet.

In my case, I'll go with Mario Kart: Double Dash. The whistling was extremely annoying and the composition was downright pathetic compared to the previous games in the series. Only one track stood out, however; Rainbow Road.

Aww, I liked that whistle. Double Dash didn't have anything particularly mindblowing in it, but I definitely wouldn't call it the worst ever.

  3. Too often this sounds really really really empty. Especially at the start, but even after that. Fill that soundscape up.

Also that piano is really soft? And kinda tough to hear, as a result.

and that hi hat sample is really grating, probably because it's louder than the instruments.

So the two main issues that I'm finding are emptiness, and volume. To solve the emptiness, try writing in a bassline, perhaps, to start. You definitely need more instruments to fill up the soundscape, but mostly the bass. Right now the only thing in the bass is the "bow bow bow bow bow bow bow" drum thing.

And for the volume, lower the drums juuuuust a tad. Especially the hihat. And get a louder piano, definitely.

Arrangement wise, I'm not seeing too much of a problem. It's relatively easy to pick out the source and you use it in a nifty way. It's good stuffs.

    Good luck with this!

  4. This sounds very pretty.

Those drums are kinda loud and it seems to distort everything when the bass drum hits and it's kinda grating to me. I dunno how you would go about fixing this though? Or maybe it was intentional, which given the type of song this is, wouldn't surprise me.

Regardless! This is good stuffs: good arrangement, and (apart from the drums) good production. Then again I am kinda biased towards trip hop type deals. BUT STILL.

  5. GW is my main, and Olimar, ROB, and Wario are my alts at the moment. My alts shift wildly in every direction whenever I feel like it ('cept for olimar), but my main will always probably be Game and Watch.

Also I'm starting to enjoy playing as Ness again.

  6. best name of anything ever

Okay so I haven't heard the source, but I like this remix! It's all waltzy and it makes me want to ballroom dance. Whether this is a good or bad thing is up to you.

It's relaxed, it is orchestra-ey, and I normally do not really dig them kinds of mixes but this one for some reason I am liking a whole lot. I can't put my finger on why this is, though.

    Good stuffs.
