Things that are thought-provoking are entertaining. Unless, you know, you're a barbarian. Or an uncircumcised philistine. The only movies that end "with some fat guy wagging his ding dong at you demanding you stare at it longer just because it knew it felt you wasted your cash so it wanted to rub it in some more" are those movies from that guy who makes the Scary Movie series/Epic Movie/Date Movie. Those movies are a complete and total JOKE. The concept of thought doesn't even exist in those.

Best toonami shows in my opinion Gundam Wing, 8th MS Team, G gundam Rurouni Kenshin Outlaw Star Reboot (they cancelled that for no reason) Justice League Batman Beyond Dragonball Z (even though it was the most drawn out thing ever)

Sprittle was probably the movie's biggest flaw. He was pretty much there for kiddie comic relief anyway. He's only funny when you're watching the movie with your parents. The movie was somewhat thought-provoking though, what with the whole "racing is about business" aspect. It made it really cool. I was scared the plot would be a total joke. Of course, this movie wasn't near as thought provoking as The Dark Knight.

Mega Man 4 was the one in the series I grew up with. Such an awesome game with great music. My favorite out of the first 4. Then 7 and 8 are really good; grew up with those too. 9 will probably be so sexy too. 1, 2, and 3 I didn't play until much later in life (i.e. emulators). I grew up with all the Super NES Mega Man X's too.

Lol that's actually how I got so good with freaking MS paint. Both my sigs down there are made of MS paint. I'm actually toying with Recapitated album cover ideas at the time with MS paint.

I'm going for gimp then.

Holy crap anyone else see that movie? Saw it friday and it was the coolest thing ever. It was such an awesome movie. The plot wasn't so bad too. I thought it would be the cheesiest thing ever but was the opposite. All the old characters (that I remember) were portrayed well too in my opinion.

I'm pretty good with MS paint, so I could always use that for something simple, but of course that can't do any really cool effects or anything. Also don't you need a lot of $$$ for photoshop? Any kind of freeware??

Oh, I know. I mean, you're recording and composing music. Who knows how long that will take. I'm just saying it's suprising that there hasn't been a complete mario album yet is all.

Out of pure curiosity, how do most of the people here at OCR make album covers for projects? What kind of programs?

Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening: Threshold of a Dream - History
LuketheXjesse replied to Aetherius's topic in Projects
What a shame It was my very first Game Boy game and probably the best one at that. Not to mention awesome music. This is, truly, an OCR tragedy. -
Lol speaking of which old cartoons (loony toons preferably) were the only things CN had going for them. CN doesn't even have those anymore. Anime was one thing, but stuff like that is universally liked. CN must be dumber than we thought.

WOAH I did forget super mario world. Ever hear powerglove's Mario Minor? In one part in that song they do a REALLY AWESOME heavy version of SMW's castle music. Yes. I know. But is it DONE? No.
-
Samurai Jack tried so hard to be action packed and cool it got annoying. The action sequences were aweful in my opinion.
-
You know How has a freaking MARIO game not had a project yet? I ask you all. I mean, maybe SMB1 wouldn't be a very good idea for a project, but something like SMB2 or 3 or 64 for that matter should work.

1/21/2008 If by chance you are reading this, this post was an old mistake of mine, something I'm embarrassed of. Mostly just trying too hard to be a good poster. Not only was it stupid and horribly written, but it gave me a HORRIBLE first impression on those here on these forums; some even dislike me now because of this terrible thread. A formal apology would be just too dramatic and dramatized, though. Look away, please.

Uh...Toonami has been dead for a very, very long time. Namely when Miguzi began its horrid existence. Why did CN even make that decision? Toonami was pretty popular as far as I remember. They even replaced all the good shows for terrible ones.

I'm not questioning NES era music at all. Not music FROM that era, anyway. Kirby's Adventure and SMB3 had my favorite music from that era. But this is now, and I haven't heard a chiptune from an artist from today that's impressed me. I also think that the experience of listening to the songs while playing those classic games makes them even better. A regular chiptune from an artist from today by itself would probably be boring though. But hey, I'm not being closed-minded. It could happen.
-
So chiptunes are just music in 8-bit form? Pff, songs like that wouldn't be all that interesting anyway considering you couldn't go much of anywhere. Of course I've been wrong before...

Awesome song. Makes me wanna play any Donkey Kong Country game again

So Video Games ARE Good For You!

The lawers need something to blame, after all Hell, I played GOLDENEYE when I was SIX YEARS OLD. Do you see me going on killing sprees? No. The most violent thing I've ever done was kick my grandmother's cats (hate 'em >_< She does too). -
You should. One of the best RPGs ever. Most original story Best music Awesome character design (though not EVERY character is) Beautiful art Memorable Multiple story paths (though this has been done before) Full of magic In other words, better than its predecessor in every way. Kinda like Half-Life and Half-Life 2.

Nintendo needs extreme thinkers like you

As The Gunslinger would say "Say true, say thankya". I found myself pretty disappointed as well with TP. I think that Nintendo is all about the money these days. Why else would you make a system to attract to the barbaric mainstream people? Or be too lazy to make new games and simply ride the wave of profit you're making? Or give us a halfhearted, (yes, HALFHEARTED) Zelda? Or be SO lazy as to not even judge the games that come on your system and just let ANY game any freaking producer wants to be on it, therefore, your system being flooded with terrible games? Seriously. Nintendo is greedy. That whole deal with Sony that fell out said it all.
