Believe me when I say I was VERY good as a kid. And yes Bowser's castle was hard but I managed. I beat the game at least 5 times as a kid. One of the greatest things about the game, now that I think about it, is that you can't miss anything in it. There are many RPGs where you can miss things and I think that's just bad game design.

I will say there are too many projects going on at once, but I'm suprised this one hasn't been done already. And how the frick could a project on this magical game die? Maybe I'll just have to live with stand-alone submissions...
-
Seriously, one of the best games ever. One of the best games ever. And not even a single POST about a project? Wow. This needs to be done as soon as possible.

Ahh...SMRPG...one of my childhood favorites! I remember getting it for my...6th, 7th birthday? I just remember my parents hating it because it wasn't the platfoming goodness they remember. I, however, thought it was the best game ever made (at the time). I mean, there were few RPGs then that had the fun and charm this one had. Seriously, everything was memorable almost. It was a MAGICAL game. And know what else? It had AWESOME music. You know what that means I think it's time OC Remix gets a project on this thing PRONTO!

I played a bit of ToS 1 and enjoyed it...but this is namco bandai we're talking about. Will it just be a cash cow and not that good a game? It's considerable. Still, ToS 1 WAS pretty awesome. Moving on Like you said, I also own few Wii games because...well, let's face it, where's those truly spectacular games? I had few GCN games because there wasn't enough for it either. I'm scared the Wii will turn out the same way.

Bwahaha! That looks like the best game ever. XD

.... What happened to the original topic? I thought at least someone would have interesting opinions on this matter...
-
Unless the Wii version of a game manages to have ridiculously awesome controls, I never take multiplatform games into consideration.

I COMPLETELY forgot to mention Brawl. Forgive me for my blasphemy.

Maybe I should rephrase... Okay, when I said casual, I meant ports of internet flash games (chicken shoot >_<) and games from third rate developers (ninjabread man). I didn't imply that games that were causal were bad...I kinda did make it out like that though; my bad. Casual games can be really fun too. I love Half-Life 2, Skies of Arcadia, Portal, Dragon Quest VIII; yet I also love Metal Slug, Mega Man, Mario series, which could be considered casual games. Both Hardcore/casual games can have their charm. However, I won't take back what I said about there being a serious lack of truly great, original, memorable games at the time. There was some good stuff (Galaxy, Corruption) for a bit, but things kinda slowed down quickly, I must say. And, like I said, Nintendo is barely announcing anything new.
-
I didn't mean die out in terms of sales, the mainstream is of course going to eat up the system due to the amount of casual crap coming out for it. The Wii is, most certainly not dead in that sense. It IS, however, dying in the sense of actual good games being released for it. The situation looks grim right now in my opinion.
-
I'm beginning to thing the poor thing is going to die out. Nintendo is barely making anything for it and nothing but shovelware is coming out here lately. The last (supposed) good game was No More Heroes, which I neglected to play. Of course, my faith will be restored if a Skies of Arcadia sequel comes around :3

You bet! Dream Theater is my favorite band ever! If you want to try any other cool bands, go to my myspace; chock full of other prog/power bands.
-
Maybe so...I just like introducing new music to others to hear their opinions. Music is a fun topic of discussion for me. I've only got one friend who has a big appreciation for video game music though.

Meh, so far I've only heard one great song and two decent ones. Everything else I remember being kinda bland. Sad, when you consider the good old days of the albums BE and Remedy lane. Ah, well, maybe next album? Here's the one really good song off the album, "Cribcaged"

Dream Theater's new album, "Systematic Chaos"
LuketheXjesse replied to Fishy's topic in General Discussion
Meh, I'd take Systematic Chaos over Octavarium anyday. My favorite off the album has got to be The Dark Eternal Night just because of the instrumental piece. EDIT: DEFINETLEY was not thinking. TDEN is good, but The Ministry of Lost Souls and the epic In The Presence Of Enemies are better. Forsaken might be better too. Either way, none of these songs COME CLOSE to that off Images And Words -
Sonata Arctica and Nightwish are gonna be in Charlotte, NC soon; Sept. 24 in fact. I'm all up for that! Also: Kamelot in Atlanta GA October possibly.
-
Pull Me Under? Dream Theater? ANYTHING Dream Theater (except Never Enough ) is welcome! Peronally I'd like The Dark Eternal Night in GH4.

Some people might want to make a "my favorite music" thread just because they really want others to know about their musical tastes and just want others to experience songs that they are really passionate about. I always try to promote the music I listen to (look at my sig ) because I feel like I listen to some of the best music known to man. And I hope to find even better music out there and, quite possibly, create better music. But I must agree, however, that a "my favorites" thread can lead to pure disaster. I think these are the onle flamewar free forums I have ever seen. Probably well-moderated place.

Comix Zone was a great game! I had an awesome time playing it! a ReMix album sounds like a great idea!
-
Great game. Great music. What's not to love? Certainly deserves an album, if I do say so myself. Sure, not every piece was magical, but most of them were. I say it should get a chance.

Well, memory DEFINETLY is not a problem. OS is XP which I guess is good. Dad got the computer extra Ram so the speed's probably good too. Beats me what Dual core is though
-
Oh, yes, you can plug your instrument into your computer, can't you? I completely forgot this. A friend of mine has something for that (though I'll probably still need one of my own). Okay, thanks.
-
Er, forget I asked, I already checked that first link (unless you've got something in mind) Thanks for your help! Much appreciated!

Okay, cool. This is mostly software, right? How about hardware wise? (or did I miss something?)
