Well if you get both versions, you can register them both on Club Nintendo and get the soundtrack.
Also while characters are the same between versions, stages and modes and trophies are different (I mean some are shared but not all). So for the full experience, you'd need both.
Also I'm having fun with Smash Run. Got like 600 Jump as Mega Man, and I was JUMPIN AND SHOOTIN
Pretty sure that if you did a System Transfer from your current one to the new one you'd keep your Friend Code, and therefore keep your Safari as is.
Also I will be getting one of these. My current 3DS likes to think Sleep Mode is "better turn myself off" mode, even though the battery isn't dead. Been meaning to upgrade anyhow.
What bugs me about that leak is that the version I played at E3 had the character names with the icons. I don't see why they'd change that, especially if it's the starting roster and there's still room for the names to be there.
So we already know that retro courses will be part of the DLC (like Wario's Gold Mine). What if we get some older Rainbow Roads this way?
I know that Double Dash! RR and Mario Kart 7 RR are favorites, so I'd hope it would be those two. Especially 7's.
It was likely named that because if they had outright said "Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U Leak!" it would've been taken down near-instantly. "Leak1" was likely chosen to try to hide it for a bit. Sure it was taken down anyways, but they're not gonna outright say what it is because they shouldn't be leaking it anyways.
I'm not saying the leak is real, nor am I saying it's fake, but I won't believe anything until September 13, when the 3DS version releases in Japan. That is when we'll know for sure the validity of these leaks.
