Should be back up now. I would suggest avoiding areas with ice growth for the time being. WorldGuard was what I used to halt it, but without it ice spreads freely. And when it spreads in a large area, that tends to slow the system down.

Okay. You're on the whitelist. First thing you should do when you log in is type /rules and read the rules. Second, we work with a claims system, so talk to Itch or myself when we're on about getting set up with one. Third, we tend to idle a lot on IRC at #ocrminecraft on irc.esper.net. Fourth, enjoy!

Itch: If you would turn the server to peaceful and/or block mob spawning, that would be best. {edit} - Nevermind. I took care of it now that I'm home. So, we're running 1.2.4, but no monsters, no multiverse, and some of the fun stuff is probably gone for now. I need to check on fire spread now. {edit 2} - Just a warning. Fire DOES spread. I don't have a way of preventing it at the moment. So, be warned: Pyros who start forest fires will be banned swiftly and for a decent amount of time.

Theoretically, we could work in the dev builds and have a mostly functioning server now. Itch, would you take point on this please? Thanks.

Yay! We have 1.2.4 ready to go once the server restarts. Here's the kick, though... Of our plugins, I've confirmed that two of the important ones are good to go, two are in uncertain status, and one is definitely a no go. Wow, it's been quiet lately...

It's a mod that allows certain things based on the type of boots you have equipped. Leather kicks mobs/players straight up in the air (usually kill height). Iron does force repulse on mobs/players. Diamond does double-jump in midair (ad infinitum). Gold is for flying. Chainmail is for tearing across the sky and opening a subspace rift (aka it goes faster than gold and is nigh uncontrollable). Leather is available to donators (only effects mobs, though). Mods get iron. Admins get everything else. Our main server mods are Essentials, WorldGuard, PermissionsEX, Multiverse, CraftIRCbot, WorldEdit, VoxelSniper, and AncientGates. We also have RocketBoots, but that's hardly a main one.

I agree. Although, Washington and a lot of the founding fathers were Freemasons, so they may portray them as templars... or a branch of assassins... who knows at this point. If Ubisoft were an American company, you could bet pretty confidently on who'd they'd end up being.

I hopefully fixed it, but we might need to load a backup to repair the damage. {edit 3} - Okay. Not actually Itch's fault. We don't need to load the backup. Everything is now safe. Stuff got broke, though. Lemon, you'll probably want to take a look at the basement of the Library of History.

Hmm... pistols, bow and arrows, and a hatchet... could be interesting gameplay. I feel somehow that the running across rooftops might be hindered somewhat in this setting...

At some point I'd like to find a way to add some sort of guide system.
