  1. Ok, I have added automated panning on the pad at the intro, and panned more of my instruments more than before - they were all to centered. Finally, I automated levels of instruments depending on leads and rhythm sections to make the track less muddy. http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/uxiw/shootingstars
  2. This is a WIP of the star maze theme from the game Super Mario Land 2 - 6 golden coins which no one has posted a remix of on oc remix which surpises me. I hope you like it Please provide me with feedback a constructive crit. for me to work with so i can make this better! http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/bxds/Star-Maze-Theme-Edit
  3. Sorry I haven't updated sooner, my internet connection hasn't been working. Ok, I have compressed my track, which isn't easy, i'll say. I have also lowered the pitch on the snare drum and have added a filter plug in to the pad patch. http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/blzq/Ice-Cap-Edit-2
  4. Ok, i have changed velocities of drum parts and changed a few things to make it sound more realistic. I have added distortion to my lead instrument and changed the frequency through-out to make it sound less bland and boring. here is the link - http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/blzq/Ice-Cap-Edit-2 thanks.
  5. I have already compressed my track. the problem is myspace, it SERIOUSLY compresses music files on the website, and it only has MP3s uploadable, so i have to change the origanal file from aiff to mp3, which is bad enough, and then put it on myspace which horrorbly compresses the file even more. Here is the MP3 file that isn't compressed on myspace. I think you will hear the difference, the piece has more punch. http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/blzq/Ice-Cap-Edit-2 I would also like to thank you for helping me with this track. I think its about there, but then again, I have alot to learn lol.
  6. Ok, everything said said except for the crash cymbal has been addressed - i also add countrapuntal melodies at the end of the track. same link as before, see my first post.
  7. Ok i have updated the remix I have EQ the sound - put more emphesis on the high end I have added an extra section to the second solo. I changed the drum pattern in the third run-through of the melody section. I have brought down the frequency of the main lead synth - it no longer gets lost in the mix. The link is still the same - check my origanal post. I have changed the snare sound. Cheers for the feedback!
  8. Ok, what i have done here is a bit of research into creating bigger and better sounds than in my previous remixes. The result is this. Please give feedback if you can. Thankyou, Willrock07 http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/blzq/Ice-Cap-Edit-2
  9. This is a remix I have done of the chemical plant zone on sonic 2. Please listen to this in headphones, as due to automation, panning and the sounds involved, this remix sound much better in headphones than through speakers. http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/uwfj/sonic-2-chemical-plant-zone I hope you enjoy it and make sure you give feedback! Cheers, Willrock07

Make sure you listen to the second half. 'Gun's N Roses' meets 'U2' http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/vgdg/A-Song-For-Kate If you bothered to read all this, then thankyou. 11. This is a remix i did of the emerald hill zone from sonic 2. I hope you enjoy it http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/hmzd/Sonic-2---Emerald-Hill-Zone-Remix
  12. Ok, this is not intended to be an oc remix - it is to close to the origanal for that. It is intended to try and capture the essence of the origanal. However, it would still be great to recieve feedback and constructive criticism - thanks. Here is a link to the MP3: http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/qyar/Street-Fighter-Ryu-Theme
  13. Ah really sorry bout that guys, heres a link to the MP3 file - http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/kqdl/No-Sympathy-For-The-Devil

  15. This is a remix i have done of castlevania's bloody tears. Please give feedback Thanks http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/dlto/Bloody-Tears---Castlevania-oc
  16. Yikes - thanks for pointing out that glitch at the end - i'll remove it. That guitar sound was a self made sound by me in reason 3.0, it isn't a preset sound.
  17. Ok, I have done an update of the theme, I would like to thank everyone for their feedback. Ok, the things i have changed are: I have altered the mastering slightly in the track The Drum EQ - The drums are crisper than in the origanal I have lowered the bass in the mix I have brought the main melody down one octave in the first run-through of the melody I have changed the drum solo slightly I have removed the one bar bass drum transition into the second run of the intro. I have changed the chord sequence and added a synth riff in the second run of the intro I have included extra pads in the second run-though of the main melody. I have altered the chords and melody of the second run-through of the main melody I have harmonized the melody in the seond run-through of the chorus Thanks for all your feedback - keep it coming! Heres the link to the beta version Sonic 1 - Green Hill Zone Remix
  18. Nice work, this is very relaxing and atmosphic. I do like the lead instrument and the melodies you have are good. However, I think it's all abit similar. The song doesn't seem to head anywhere particuly. What i would do is create a catchy melody, which you are good at - the melodic phases you use are very good - have the breakdown, and repeat the melody with slight varitions in melody and instrumentation, expand on it. I'm not sure that is your goal however, but it lacks a hook that will make your track more memerable. However, i do like this - the timbre of the track overall is good and i like the idea. Nice work.
  19. This is a composition i wrote on reason 3.0 for a competition which i didn't win... it turned out they weren't looking for a classical instrumental. Anyway, thought i'd post it... sounds like it could be in a video game. I hope you enjoy it! http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/kqdl/No-Sympathy-For-The-Devil
  20. Nice job man, i like this alot. Pretty much everything is already covered here, the muddy rhythm guitars and the drums are the things i would fix. I like the lead guitar though, i would put i little delay on it though. I love the 8-bit synth sound you threw in there - sounds good. The composition of it is well executed - although that transition at 4.00 isn't great - there is to much difference in the two sections that makes it stange to have such a sudden change. I would add a string part in that section to fill out the sound there, the begining of that section sounds a little empty in comparision with the rest of the track. If you do that, i think the transition will work much better. Well done mate, i enjoyed this alot
  21. Here's the link - Please let me know what you think! The link will direct you to my myspace page. The track is the first track in the myspace player You can download it if you like it Cheers. Legend of zelda links awakening remix - ballad of the wind fish
  22. Nice Job man, I like it alot. The style seems to fit the song you are remixing and the change of time signature is a nice touch as well. I agree that it is a little 'Newby' sounding though. I think it is a little under developed (there could be harmonisation or a counter melody with the final run through of the main theme - I like the build up before it and im left a little dissappointed with the conclusion) Overall though, i like the idea, it needs work, most of which has been covered by other members, but i think this could be even better. Nice work.
  23. Hey Guys, I have decided to revive this old thread, I have done some changes to the drums over the months and sorted the pitch bends in the lead if you remember them. And here is the MP3 to download:
