  1. Thankyou to everyone who commented on this thread, I am grateful, look out for my next WIP, Sonic 1 green hill zone coming soon
  2. Ok, I know this has been commented on a lot, but it that bass needs addressing. I mean, the bass isn't even out of tune, it plays clashing notes that are in tune, and they clash horribly! Ok, so the 1st chord of the sequence is a F sharp minor. The bass plays a G over that which clashes. The second chord is fine, in key perfectly. The third chord is E major. The bass plays a C sharp over that. The forth chord of the sequence is C sharp major and the bass plays the root note C sharp, which makes the third chord sound even weirder as the bass note of the third and forth chords are the same This repeats over the melody and ruins the mix for me. Sorry, but do not like this remix currently, however, if peeples resubs with bass fixes the mix would be awesome.
  3. You missunderstand me mate, I meant that the song is still called mountain of dreams, the valley of the kings thing was a mistake, its a song by the band blue murder (A rock band that was formed by whitesnakes former guitarist john sykes, but thats not the point) I think it was because I did some editing of the valley of the kings in Audacity (which I use to convert my files to MP3) and I Audacity has a function where the song name is different to the file name, I think it automatically changed my track name to the first song uploaded on that file if you follow me and I deleted the track with valley of the kings on it and uploaded mountain of dreams on the same file. In other news, I sent my mix to Darksword, and he liked it, so I'll submit it. Wish me luck
  4. You make a good point, I know that would be my reaction.
  5. Hm... I don't know the source, but I like the chillout mood you have going on here. As it is an unfinished project, I can't say much about it at the moment. However, I used reason 3.0 on a crap computer for a while and I had the same problems as you. the only things i can suggest is to close down all background programmes and mute unnesserery instruments for playback purposes to increase your computer memory while reason is in playback. But at the end of the day, you will need a new computer if your current one isn't playing reason. However, I like what you have so far, post the full version when you finally finish it.
  6. For those who wanted comparisions of different versions: Origanal Final Version And why is the final version called valley of the kings might you ask? I have no idea.... lol
  7. Thanks for your help on the track Rozovian I will do that. Also, thanks to everyone else who helped with making this track so much better
  8. Ok, I have sorted previous problems (piano EQ, vibrato etc) Another thing I have remedied is the bass, Its was too high in the lows in my opinion, and was destracting me from the rest of the track. I think people were happy with the bass as it was before, but I hope the bass is even better in other peoples views now, as it is in mine
  9. Hi guys another update, its almost there now! I have edited the intro. Shortened it and kept all the sections with a melody. I also added a snippet of the main theme in the intro. I also faded out the final note of the melody end at the end quicker - that was a great idea
  10. Yes, click on remixes in the browse section on the left. If you look at the remixes it says the date posted. On the posted icon at the top of the that row click it once, and it will display all remixes oldest first. If you click it a second time, it will display all the remixes newest first. Do after a quick search on the game you wish you can view the latest remixes of a particular game. I hope this was helpful
  11. This is awesome, I love the introduction the singing is brilliant and the atmosphere is very haunting. This was done in 48 hours? Jill and zircon have done brilliantly, but I wouldn't expect anything less from them. Great stuff, I'll download.
  12. Ok, I have updated the track on production. The change is slight, but it is there - I have removed more of the bass end and taken away some effects on the bass to remove the muddy booming bass end that has been bugging everyone.
  13. Are you sure? I listened to it on headphones before i posted it and it sounded fine panning-wise, and I have just double-checked the panning, I haven''t gone to extremes on either side . I will change panning a little however, My first lead is panned right (only slightly), it could be that, I'll center it. I'll also carry on work with bringing down the bass frequencies as well.
  14. Ok, I have done some changes - Brought down bass frequencies Added parts of the tal tal heights theme to the intro Changed the breakdown section in the middle Added an ending to the track Removed some of the reverb on instruments Changed the compession amounts.
  15. Ok, this is my second attempt at the tal tal mountain range, this isn't finished yet, I am unsure whether to shorten the intro, as it is very long, and may stop it from getting past the judges panel due to there not being enough of the source. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this, my tribute to my favorite Gameboy Game Also here is a video of the source tune off youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6PCFHzZ_Jg
  16. I like the idea of your ice cap mix, don't completely rearrange it but if you do, make surre you at least keep a back up copy of the current version. Rozovian has covered most of the problems here although i will add some thoughts (sorry if it has already been said) The pad at the intro sounds a little dry - and the release doesn't quite work although i see what you are trying to do. I personally hate release - it often ends up bleeding into the next chord when i use it, which is the problem here. I would bring down the release and experiment with reverb until you get it flowing well. I would also automate the filter of the pad slightly. I like the idea of the delay on the drums, but i don't think it works currently. I think the delay time is long, but the idea is good. I like it from 0.40 - I love build up sections. My biggest problem at the moment is the samples - they are too low quality to be able to pass the judges panel - trust me i know Also the arrangement is a little repetitive, I don't think the end needs to be that long. I suggest experimentation with effects and cut down on the repetition. I enjoyed this, its a good WIP but exercise caution with the re-haul idea - it doesn't need it in my opinion.
  17. Yeah, I was thinking about power rangers this morning (I was a big fan about 10 years ago, and i couldn't resist. Its a quick job though, so don't be too harsh - i haven't mastered it Ah well, I managed to squeeze in the mighty morphin, turbo, in space, and lost galaxy themes in 2 and and half minutes in one day, so that aint bad i guess. Have a listen and let me know what you think. Cheers.
  18. Sounds awesome man, the compositions are varied and interesting and the production sounds great as well. You might get some constructive crit from other forum users, this sounds great in my ears. Nice Job By the way, the begining of your jungle track sounds very simliar to the main theme intro of Dark Cloud, though yours sounds much higher quality.
  19. This is a remix of Reincarnated Soul from the castlevania game Bloodlines. Here is the origanal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiD9eML0KJw Here is my Version of the piece of music: http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/uvgo/Reincarnated-soul-Castlevania Feedback would be cool. Thanks guys - Willrock07
  20. I have sorted out the panning and spread out the dynamics of the track. It sounds about finished in my ears and I am going to say it is finished. However, if there are still problems you can hear, please tell me and i will sort it. Thankyou for your help on this track everybody who has given me feedback http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/rwhp/Ice-Cap-Compressed-Edit-2
  21. Gain Of Salt added Ok, I have sorted out the panning and leveling of the track, also added a stereo imager, to fill out the sound. I also deleted the synth backing in the main riff - there was no need for it and it was clogging up the sound. http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/ugwz/Rockin-At-Wily-s-Panning-Edit
  22. Ok, it's time to put the rock in willrock07. Sort of. This isn't strictly metal, its electronic metal, similar to Satitama Saishuu Heiki if you are familar with his remixes. I hope you enjoy this. http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/ugwz/Rockin-At-Wily-s-Panning-Edit
  23. Ok, I have added automated panning on the pad at the intro, and panned more of my instruments more than before - they were all to centered. Finally, I automated levels of instruments depending on leads and rhythm sections to make the track less muddy. http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/uxiw/shootingstars
  24. This is a WIP of the star maze theme from the game Super Mario Land 2 - 6 golden coins which no one has posted a remix of on oc remix which surpises me.
