    Yeah...the strings during the break are from the source...I added some guitar harmonies in the middle of the mix to give it a little presence and build it...close to being finished now

    When I post these mixes it's not always polished and sometimes i probably post to quickly...but better here than to the judges. I definately have the same feeling as you do about the volume and the drums...and since this was the "idea track"...I go back to square one...first making the drum mix...then the guitar/synth mix...and then to mastering. I don't generally use the greatest equipment in the world when i'm mixing vgm...basically...I just have my guitar plugged into the sound card of my computer...and I manipulate that sound for pretty much everything that you hear. As for the mix...you will definately be hearing some good things in the next post...i'm amazed at how it is coming together...it's really sounding solid. Now if only I had a good drum program...ugh...lol.

    I've had those same thoughts about the production and arrangement of this song. The same thoughts exactly...it's amazing. What is holding me back from implementing them is the song as a whole...I guess I should really state that this track is part two of an epic Zelda Remix...so this track is influenced heavily by part 1. Ultimately...it's gonna be 17 minutes of Zelda when the parts are tied together... I appreciate the comments and the validation of my production thoughts. I knew I was considering those changes for a reason and now i'm going to try them out. Sweendrix

    I have to say that after playing Dead Space on the Xbox360...I would have to say that I believe that it was robbed of the title of "Game of the Year." In a year that brought us several AAA titles, it is my firm believe that this game stood head and shoulders above the rest. Yes...arguments can be made for your GTA's, Gears, and MGS...but having sampled all of the previous, I still have to give Dead Space the edge. Am I alone on this?

    In the bridge preceding this piece there will be a driving solo inspired by the work of Kirk Hammett (Metallica)...there are some chordal harmonies on the guitar in this short mix...but i've mostly moved them to the background...right now i'm working on getting a good hard guitar sound for the driving halo chorus (original theme)...
