  1. This mix has a slightly better EQ... http://www.mp3.com/media_player/viewer.php?action=launch_player_by_id&ref_id=21806567&ref_type_id=3&edid=&ptid=&ont_id=
  2. Looking for some feedback before I submit this track... "Passing Through Gerudo Valley" from: Oracle of the Sun - Zelda Theme Remix by Sweendrix. http://www.mp3.com/media_player/viewer.php?action=launch_player_by_id&ref_id=21806567&ref_type_id=3&edid=&ptid=&ont_id=
  3. Here is a Version with a little more progress made...still playing around with the drums though... http://www.mp3.com/media_player/viewer.php?action=launch_player_by_id&ref_id=21806565&ref_type_id=3&edid=&ptid=&ont_id=
  4. Hey man...I wanted to give you a little update on part 2 of the Zelda Remix i've been working on. I dive into Gerudo Valley on this one...and it's coming together nicely...

  5. The Drums are really just a place holder right now...but they are sounding pretty chill...so i'll likely use them for a couple sections. As for variation in the melodies...i plan on that as well...but more for the ending of the song...mostly in the form of a solo guitar.
  6. WIP http://www.mp3.com/media_player/viewer.php?action=launch_player_by_id&ref_id=21806480&ref_type_id=3&edid=&ptid=&ont_id
  7. This is far from done...but i'm looking for feedback on the feel of this track...mostly...is the style complimentary to the Gerudo theme...? http://www.mp3.com/media_player/viewer.php?action=launch_player_by_id&ref_id=21806480&ref_type_id=3&edid=&ptid=&ont_id
  8. First of all...let me say that I have greatly appreciated the advice that I have been recieving in this forum...about the Zelda Trilogy I am currently working on. I just have a short clip today...and i'm just wondering if this section of Gerudo is just a little too Mellow... http://www.mp3.com/media_player/viewer.php?action=launch_player_by_id&ref_id=21806422&ref_type_id=3&edid=&ptid=&ont_id=
  9. This was probably my first real effort at re-mixing/recording...
  10. This is one of the first songs I ever mixed...and looking for some feed back on whether or not it's worth pursuing...it's a nice arrangement...but I no longer have the original files...any ideas...suggestions on cleaning this up? http://www.mp3.com/media_player/viewer.php?action=launch_player_by_id&ref_id=21806420&ref_type_id=3&edid=&ptid=&ont_id=
  11. Thanks for the suggestions and hints...it always helps
  12. What I layed out was mostly "framework"...for a bridge which leads to an epic finale...the drums...and harmonies...will definately be a little more interesting...hopefully. I just put this together in about a half hour or so...and it is basically just an idea mix. Looking for feedback on the feel..
  13. I'm looking for some feedback on this section...which is essentially the bridge in a Halo composition I am working on. The original Halo theme as well as Unforgotten are at work here...Note that the drums are currently just placeholders... http://www.mp3.com/media_player/viewer.php?action=launch_player_by_id&ref_id=21806402&ref_type_id=3&edid=&ptid=&ont_id=
  14. And one other thing...I find that it is best to keep the raw track free from compression until the final mix...that is probably the number one rule in my mixing.

  15. Hey...thanks for the listen...about the number of mixes...well...I don't feel that it's all that quickly...but maybe it is...i'm still a newb...but I do have a little system...

Mostly I record an idea track first...in which I do no eq/compression/etc...I use this track to get a good drum mix...but axe everything else...

Next...I normalize the drums to 100 percent...and begin recording a "real mix" after being satisfied with my idea track. I record the new track with the idea mix taking up one of the slots...to keep me in place.

Next...I record each instrument until I am happy with it...and export each instrument to seperate left and right tracks...(also surround tracks if applicable)

Finally....I begin mixing with all the parts...I apply light compression to each of the instruments...and use the volume faders to get ride of parts that pop out too much.

After a little experimentation with compression and eq...I finalize the mix.

  16. There is a new "High Definition" Nintendo Wii in development, the aspects are kinda hush hush...but I have an inside source who confirmed it...along with the development...of what will supposedly be the most epic Zelda adventure to date...for release within the first year window to encourage people to upgrade

  17. Try using Adobe Encore...maybe a trial version...I dunno.
  18. I'm close to finishing this first movement of the Zelda series that I am working on and am looking for any advice prior to submission. I'm a relative amateur when it comes to professional level audio mixing and most of my background is in video/animation. I would appreciate any feedback on this mix which will help me polish it before I submit. The Legend of Zelda: "Oracle of the Sun" (Rock Remix) http://www.mp3.com/media_player/viewer.php?action=launch_player_by_id&ref_id=21806332&ref_type_id=3&edid=&ptid=&ont_id=
  19. See... [link to his wip thread removed]
  20. I'm very much looking for partners for a collaborative effort. Those contributing to the project will potentially be invited to a viewing of a currently unannounced - High Definition Legend of Zelda Game. g.a.n.g. Sweendrix
  21. Here is a newer version...near final mix...the compression on the host seems a little strong since first uploading it...but here it is... http://ocrwip.fireslash.net/?fid=161 Thanks for the Listen...
  22. I feel the same way...and believe me when I say that I have some plans to shake things up with the melody. Think Metallica Master of Puppets just after the breakdown...more as it comes. Hopefully it works out. Thanks for the advice and the listen.
