Hey folks. Yeah, i know. I'm rather fixated on that theme. But it has much possibilities! This time a rather clubbish / dance-ish remix of the frog's theme. Linkage: I hope it's fairly enjoyable this time around. The earlier remix i sent in (a year ago?) was total crud. One thing that bothers me is the bitrate, since files can only be 6 megs, i had to render it to VBR (+/_ 144kbps... :S) Oh yeah, the remixer info: Name: NeoS website: http://www.ndbergen.speedlinq.nl userID: err... i gave it a couple of emails ago. Remix info: Game: Chrono Trigger Song: Frog's Theme System: SNES I hope that's enough. Later! ^_~

Hi gang, Since I last submitted anything to OCR, I've been getting a lot of e-mails about finishing the final form of Dancing Mad. I decided to finish and submit the final form now, even though the third form needs to be improved/redone so it can be accepted. This is the final form of the Dancing Mad series, the final Kefka part. The four parts to this series are now all available on my website, http://www.greatdialectic.org/hosting/songs.html. If this one gets accepted, I'll clean up and resubmit the third one, too. In any case, I hope people like it. I started it years ago, and I've learned a lot since then. At least people will have their closure now. Here's a link to my submission: Contact Info: waxingeloquent Casey Bushmaker waxingeloquent@hotmail.com http://greatdialectic.org/hosting/songs.html (<-- new website) ReMix Info: Final Fantasy 6 Dancing Mad Thanks! waxingeloquent

email sub file Drowning Valley.mp3 Warmly greeted, OCR My name is Aric Lamb, known as Pwnicus on your forums, userID 35844, and the attached song is a remix of "Drowning Valley" from the Square game Chrono Cross. I have a myspace website, www.myspace.com/pwnicus, where you can sample some of my other music. I used Reason 3.0 for this drum and bass song. The mix is rather straightforward, "in ya face" drum and bass with all the melodies from the song sped up and chopped a bit. I had a bit of fun figuring out how to go from 90-something bps to 170+. I hope you enjoy the drumplay as much as I did making it. Pwnicus of Team Paul Peru _________________________________________________________________ Don’t just search. Find. Heya, here's my submission. Link: My Info- Remixer Name: Slothboy (as on forums) Real name: Zac Email Address: zacpatterson@gmail.com Userid (on forums): Remix Info- Name of game Remixed: Final Fantasy 8 Song: Man With Machine Gun Comments: One of my most nostalgically favourite songs from Final Fantasy 8 has to be 'Man With Machine Gun', which I always used to call the 'Laguna Battle Theme' when I was younger. The melodies and chordal progressions in this song are quite simple, but they work and I felt it would be an interesting experience to interpret this song through various electronic styles. Thanks, Slothboy -- - Zac Patterson. "veritas vos liberabit."

I hope you guys think this is good enough to at least be close to your standards. I realy enjoy listening to it...it's very interesting. It takes Dire Dire Docks in a diffenrt direction than most other mixes in that not only is it flipped to a minor interpretation, but it also merges with a Donkey Kong Country 2 song. The SPC file is just called lava as far as I can tell. The length is just a tad over 3 minutes, I hope the transitions arn't too crazy for you guys . Also, I hope the distorted guitars arn't too loud, I think I did pretty well on this one....I hope you feel the same way. If somthing bugs you to the core and you wish for a revision, I could posibly sneak this onto sound click as an "electronica/rock Cover" and put the copyright as nintnedo ...and work out minor things perhaps...we'll see what happens...I'll leave it as a free mp3 so you guys can download it ! But for now...you can use the link that is the subjuct part of the e-mail. The song is over at VG mix, and has gotten good reactions so far ! Thanks for listening guys, Jredd-

Hi Im now submitting my remix of the Elderscrolls III Morrowind main theme. Contact Info Remixer name: Radeox Real name: David W mail: david.wahl@chello.se website: http://www.radeox.com Remix Info Game: Morrowind (xbox) Song: Main theme Comments: The moment I first heard the theme for Morrowind, my first thought was that it would sound great as a trance song. When I had played the game for like 3 years, and had heard the theme too many times, I thought it was about time that I made the remix. Here it is, In memory of Ravirr (the trader in Balmora which I accidentally killed when I at lvl 5 or so) =) The song: //David

Has to win points for the title, at least... -djp LT Edit - Original Decision: http://www.ocremix.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=57630 This is actually a remix of a remix I submitted nearly a year ago. It was rejected the first time but after much hard work, determination and quite a bit more electronic music experience, I believe I am ready for a second shot. Here's a link to my unbuilt geocities site where the remix is currently being held prisoner: . I would've made a direct link to the download but, for some reason that wouldn't work. Oh well, more button clicking for you! This is a ReMix from Squaresoft of America's only title: Secret of Evermore for the SNES. The remix, Evermore is Nevermore Forevermore, is sprung from the Opening Credits theme. I don't know if that's the official title or not but, eh, it makes sense. Background info: the title of the remix is sort of a line taken from the game itself. I don't believe you guys at overclocked have this game's delightful score in your archive as of yet, so here's a link to where I picked it up at: http://www.snesmusic.org/v2/profile.php?profile=set&selected=2282 My remixer name is DJ Skratch 'n' Sniff; it's a pun! Get it? The name scrawled across my birth certificate is Dylan Napier (I was named after Bob Dylan... for your information). And, in case you don't already know by now, my email address is dj.skratch.n.sniff@gmail.com. I chose this song for one simple reason: Jeremy Soule, the original composer, is freaking brilliant... kind of; outside of this title I haven't really enjoyed much of his other work, but Secret of Evermore is one of my favorite video game scores. Much to my own surprise though this remix is more reminiscent of something produced by Akira Yamaoka (of Silent Hill fame). The tempo has been slowed down about 30 bpms and could, more or less, be classified as down tempo. There are some things about this mix that may turn a few people off. The last forty seconds or so is nothing but zombie moaning-esque ambience and a very free range piano take on the original tune's primary melody. The time signature changes a few times (from 4/4 to who knows what (I was never very good at figuring that sort of thing out)) as well. Hopefully you shall all discover my true brillance though and I shall finally be welcomed into your fine community with open arms. I have quite a few other projects that I am working on as well that I'd love to submit. Cheers!

After being a devout fan of ocremix.org for about 5 years, I've finally taken the initiative to make my own. I worked on this song with my good friends, Jason Pai and Kyle Ogami. Topic 9 Thermodynamics is a mixing of the genres. Rock + disco maybe? I think I tagged the mp3 correctly. Can't wait for the next effort, looking at Donkey Kong. Link:

I think it's pretty decent, personally... - djp LT Edit - Original Decision: http://www.ocremix.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=65727 1st RESUB Decision: http://www.ocremix.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=67177 Remix: Koelsch1 Game: Jurrasic Park Name: Concerto for Velociraptor I think I finally have it ready. And if not, this will be my last resubmit of this song. I dont know how to make it sound any better than it currently is. This hiss is gone and the reverb is fixed. I watched Jurrasic Park a few days ago on tv. The raptors where pathetic. That spielberg fool doesnt know what he is doing. The raptors would have eaten thos children in like 3 seconds. None of that standing around and running into mirrors bullshit. Sometimes I wish a raptor would come back to life and eat Larry Oji. That will learn him a thing or two. He is such a greedy man, keeping all the "Larry Oil" to himself rather than marketing it to the public. Larry Oil -> http://www.home.no/koelsch1vgm/larryoil.GIF No, thats not a typo. Thats just the way he talks. Ok, its finished uploading...

Title of arrangement: Tranquillity Link to the arrangement: Contact info -- ReMixer Name: Jago Real name: Steven C. King E-mail address: sgtking71@yahoo.com ReMix info -- Name of game remixed: Fire Emblem Name of individual song remixed: track 3 from the NSF file (name unknown) My own comments: This is a remix from track #3 in the NSF file from Fire Emblem. After doing primarily fast-paced orchestral arrangements from other video games, I wanted to slow things down a bit with this one. Track #3 consists of only two channels: one is the melody and the other is the arpeggio providing the chord progressions. I wanted to keep this arrangement very simple so the listener can simply sit back and relax. The piano performs the melody as the pizzicato strings provide the arpeggio, though other instruments are added in this arrangement. I hope you enjoy this Fire Emblem arrangement called "Tranquillity". __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Alright, here's the deal: arrangement and production both boil down to a number of decisions, good or bad, an individual ReMixer has to make when putting together a mix. When you choose genres like gabber, happy hardcore, and in this case chiptune, you place a limit on the number of decisions you can make. Period. No one's saying you can't like the sound of NSFs, but part of ReMixing as we've defined it is instrumentation, panning, mixing, DSP, etc., and regardless of whether it sounds pleasing or not, the control and decisions a mixer makes when working with chiptunes are greatly reduced. There's simply far less room for making the types of creative decisions that we take into account when evaluating mixes. That's what this particular judges' decision boils down to: respecting the work that ReMixers put into their submissions when it comes to instrumentation, DSP, and mixing, and realizing that any piece that chose a genre which intentionally limited the ability to make such decisions would have to compensate. HARDCORE. Please take that into account - this isn't about whether Sam's mix has high enough production values to pass, it's about whether almost any chiptune mix could really meet our requirements. And yes, I stand by my comment that if the arrangement was simply fucking brilliant, even a chiptune could pass, but with all due respect to Sam, I think even HE would agree that this isn't his magnum opus in that arena.
