Contact Info: -Remixer name: Panacea -Real name: Alex Bridgeman -Email address: erde_kaiser@yahoo.com -Website: www.myspace.com/tofumonster -Forum name: Panacea (note: userid number unknown)) Remix Info: -Game remixed: Chrono Cross -Original Song's Name: Shadow's End Forest -ReMix Title: Fossil Fauna About this song: I guess you could say that this is my first "official" remix. Since it is my first, choosing a song from Chrono Cross was really a no-brainer. As far as video game soundtracks go, Chrono Cross ranks #1 on my list. I chose to remix Shadow's End Forest because I really enjoy the song, and I think it could use a bit of elaboration (it's fairly simplistic, afterall). I did all the arranging on my Yamaha keybaord, where I recorded 9 tracks. 7 of those tracks made it too the final version (absent from the final mix are midi-sounding percussion and choir). After recording them to the computer I added some live tracks. A little bit of guitar, tin whistle, and auto-harp were added. I even used a guitar pitch tuner for a very nice harmonica-esque sound, ha ha. I'd say the percusion was the most entertaining, though. Seeing as I have no percussion instruments myself, and I am not a big fan of drum loops, I decided to use a few things from around the house. A bottle of pills, the chain from a pair of pants, and the box from "The Sims" game had to make do. Hope you enjoy

Its been almost 2 years since ive submitted something to overclocked. White Skies on the trance album for PMM was considered my best remix to date (over a year ago) but ive definately grown since then musically (lots of new gear too). Well ive shown darkesword and analoq this mix already and they said it will more than likely pass. The only real beef they had was the length. But this is a club mix with the standard dj friendly 32 bar intro/outro. I did my absolute best to keep things interesting in the progression of the track. Its constantly changing and evolving but as analoq/darkesword said, it looses energy in parts mainly because of the arrangement format its in. Hopefully this wont be a problem and wont detract from making a post on OC. I worked really hard on the mixdown and mastering as well, as this was carefully crafted in my home studio I know people are waiting for this one. It was encoded at abr of 112 to fit 6 megs and the quality loss isnt that bad compared to high vbr. Thanks djp, and I hope you dig. Best, bLiNd

I initially just played around with instruments, trying to get a feel. Finally, I got it sounding nice. Not great, but nice. I sent it to my friend to brag, and he said two words: Faster, Bass. I upped the tempo from and already upped 175 to a 225. And, boy was he right. And then made the bass a little heavier, and it became this. I don't have a website so I'm attaching it, and I'm sorry about that. But, here is the Original File: http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/sony/ps1/Ape_Escape_Tranquil_Temple_DW.mid

remixer name: ArKane real name: José María Méndez Sonic & Knuckles ReMix: ok, this is my second attempt at making a decent remix of a song, The first one was a bit repetitive, and this time i´ve tried my best to make it more varied. ..i don´t know the exact name of the original song, i think it is from a boss battle.... anyway, i love it so i decided to make my own version. hope you like it!

Seems quite cool to me, just not as familiar as I should be with the original - djp "Hyrule Wimbledon" So the other day I got a call from Ganon saying that he'd need a fresh and spicy new theme for the annual tennis match against Link. I came up with this. I don't know if it's what he wanted, but at least I got a hundred rupees and a piece of a heart container out of it.

Email sub file Cool_Water.mp3 CONTACT INFO Blue Magic Damon Campbell e-mail: bluemagic1984@bellsouth.net webpage: http://www.angelfire.com/blues2/bluemagic/ REMIX INFO Donkey Kong Country 2 Stickerbush Symphony / Hot Head Bop COMMENTS Well what can I say about this... For one thing, I've been working on this for a long time (since I finished "New Beginnings"). To be honest I didn't really plan on submitting it, so I wasn't too strict on finishing it. But after hearing some McVaffe mixes, I got some great ideas and decided to put forth a serious effort to produce a submission worthy mix. This mix is a real cool, laid back remix (as suggested by the title) in which I combine two totally different songs. I was trying not to rely too heavily on the originals, so alot of it is just me messing around. As for the genre, I was trying to combine a sort of ambient(ish) background with heavy bass and ethnic drums to create something like a New Age mix. Overall, I think I've done what I set out to do as far as this mix is concerned. I had loads of fun making it and I hope everyone enjoys my piece. This song is posted on my page and the link to my page is up above. Peace out and vote YES!!!

Email sub file I Sawed the Spider Prince (in concert).mp3 Hello, first, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to listen to my arrangement. This is my first remix ever and I was actually making it while learning how to use fruity loops. The song's title (I Sawed the Spider Prince(in concert)) pays tribute to the two songs used in the mix (I Sawed the Demons and Facing the Spider) as well as the original composer, Bobby Prince. The premise is that a man has been startled awake and now finds himself...in hell, of course. But not only is he in hell, he's at the underworld's biggest rock concert ever, and has to fight his way to the front of the crowd so he can better listen to those metal lords play! I know it's corny but I'm havin fun. Anyway, I appologize for the ID3 tags as Winamp was the only program cooperating with me and also for the fact that this has to be an attatchment because my fireworks is on the fritz and I can't get my site to work correctly. So here you go: Doom - I Sawed the Spider Prince (in concert). ~Tnadz

djp, So, like, I have this remix. I got the idea from Dr. Fruitcake because he is totally the man, the midi man, but the man, none-the-less. I took the songs from the end that came from Yoshi's Story and I made this remix. Then I had to go search for the music because I didn't know what it was. From what I can tell, this is the Title Screen music and Yoshi's Theme (a section from both). Then I got the bright idea to do it live, and it came out ok. It's like the Kirby one: not the best recording, but I really just work with what I have, and the university obviously is not one for high production quality. I'm surprised they can hit the record button some days. Anyways, I was juiced, the mics were hot, and I really squirted this one out. Hope you enjoy it. Remixer name: Bladiator Real name: Karl Harmdierks email: bladiator@juno.com Game: Yoshi's Story (N64) Tunes: Title screen and Yoshi's Theme (I think) Other comments: I think I said it all, lemme think ... yeah, I'm done. No wait, people are paranoid freaks (it's a hurricane coming) and Harmony rocks. ~Karl

email sub file Megaman 5 Knighman In Shining Armor OC ReMix.mp3 CONTACT: DJ Mastermind Charles Humphries charles_humphries2003@yahoo.com User ID 11769 ReMix Info: Megaman 5 Knightman's Stage I stumbled upon this site after hearing, Marc Stars' Wild Arms 'Rosetta Refrain' and djpretzel's Lunar 'BlueLament' OC ReMixes back in April 03' in a car at a gas station.I asked the guy where he got this wild arms soundtrack from, because the OST that I had sounded nothing like that! directed here and was exposed to the greatest expressions of creation: the remix. I've been a member of this site for some time now, and I thought I would try and submit a remix of my own. I give to you Knightman In Shining Armor. It took me about 7 months (on and off) to finish it. I used the FL Studio program. I figured if I paid $145 for it, what better way to put it to good used than to do what i've always wanted:remix a game and make front page of this site!

email sub file Final_Fantasy_7_Not_All_is_Lost.mp3 Its a first so please excuse me if its not super-awsome. Remixer name: I go by "Black_Marauder" email: Kylekoch012186@gmail.com webby: none yet. Hello... My name is Kyle. I have been an avid listener of OC remix for 4 years now and have always loved what comes out of it. Listening to all these great peoples work has made me want to start up my own mixes. So starting a year ago (Nov 2004), I picked up a key board, a stepping program, and began at it. After many months of beating myself up and trying to make something, I finally succeeded in placing one beat correctly after the other. Kinda feels like trying to learn how to walk. Anywho... Final Fantasy 7 has been a great love of mine since the release of the game. I havnt played it in 2 years but its still the greatest rpg imho. I got home late one nite and was extremely tired. I was about to go to bed when this annoying beat popped into my head. I had to get it at least somewhat put together on the computer before I could go to sleep. Turns out its what led to the drums, which I know arent all that great (what else do you want from a novice of only one year ). After the beat turned out I then proceeded to add some strings to it. I was going for a techno flare but couldnt make anything work so i stuck the long off beat sets. I was contemplating on what to next with the song when my little sister walks and and says its sounds alot like the city of the ancients back beat and that when I knew i was on the right track. I have a problem with taking "mind-prints" and turning them into "blue-prints", if you know what I mean, and thus it makes composing very hard for me. So simplicity is all I can afford for now. After I got the first song done, I had no intention on making it longer or adding any other bakbeats to it i then decided it would only be appropriate if there was a bit of aeris's theme in there as well and thats when i contructed the 2nd piece. the beat is pretty much the same just laid out differently, and I used the same strings channel with different chords. So now im sending what I got with no intentions on it being rated or voted on. I just want to share my startoff with everyone else and hope to inspire other OC-R listeners to start something of their own as well. Im always open to constructive criticism (I NEED LOTS OF IT!!!) and look forward to the next time i do something, and most surely it will be better. Black_Marauder P.S. If you can think of a better name for it please let me know... im open for suggestions.

*NO* Final Fantasy Legend 'Legend of the Saxes' *RESUB*
djpretzel posted a topic in Judges Decisions
http://www.ocremix.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=53458&highlight=legend+saxes above is the original link. I took all of the comments that you guys said and did my best to remaster this song. I haven't re-recorded or anything, but i went through and applied some dynamics and adjusted the levels overall. I didn't have much to work with - just one copy of each part, which made it hard to do much with. Still, i feel that this is a song that could make it onto OCR so i'll still resubmit it. I'd appreciate it if the judges would read the original email i sent in the other thread - i feel a lot of it still applies, and gives the piece a different light to view it in. the music's at www.soundclick.com/theprophetofmephisto - its called Legend of the Saxes. please leave the link to my site in the eventual decision...i could use the publicity. thanks. This was a collaberation between myself (Tenchu) and DorIImaA. I did all the sound and effects in the song. I also added notes and did all the editing. DorIImaA did the basic composition to for the song. This song is based on Radical Dreamers from Chrono Cross. In the song a girl who goes outside of her home during a thunderstorm while its raining obviously. It is basically and atmospheric relaxing song. The transitions are very light except when the choir comes in, which I still pulled off well I think. I truley hope this is worthy of an addition to OCRemix. The song can be found at the link below http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=63602 I dont belive it has the ID3v2 tags though so should here is another link with the song just incase. When you click on the link above you must click [Free] on the bottom. It will take you to a new page where you must wait about 10 seconds and then the song will appear at the bottom of the page to be DLed. This site does delete non-downloaded materials after some time. So if this song gets deleted before it hits the judging pannel I appologize. Should for some reason none of this work I can be reached at this email or on AIM at TenchuOCR or Tenchu66. I can also be reached on MSN at LroxU@hotmail.com. Thank you for your time.

Email sub file Xenon [Teknikality Mix].mp3 Maybe this one will stand a chance right...? Contact Info Remixer Name - Nihon Tek Real Name - Jerome Phillips Remix Info Game Remixed - Dance Dance Revolution Extreme Song Remixed - Xenon (for extreme) Composer - Takayuki Ishikawa Remix Name Xenon [Teknikality Mix] Additional info - Obviously there are many composers for the DDR series, but the composer of this song goes by "Mr. T" Though I searched, I was unable to turn up his actual name. I'm not sure what consoles this game was released for as I don't play the home versions of DDR, but this song can be found on the arcade version of DDRE. Everyone who plays DDR loves this song. So I figured why not? I could surely take a hand at remixing it. I tried to keep the energy of the original in this breakbeat/big beat rendition. Also, I cut it quite short [for an electronica mix] in order to avoid repetitiveness. This was all produced in FL Studio 5 with a few VST plug-ins. I hope it's accepted (obviously right?), but if it's not, thanks for the consideration and maybe next time. ~Nihon Tek Gray Edit: Hey, I recently submitted a DDR ReMix by the name of "Xenon [Teknikality Mix]". In my submission e-mail I said that I could not find the original composer's real name however I did end up finding it. His actual name is Takayuki Ishikawa. I just thought that I should add whatever information I knew. I wasn't sure who to e-mail this too, but you seem to be one of the more active judges so I thought this would be write. (sorry if it isn't... haha). C ya ~Nihon Tek

Email sub file Tetris_BlueNocturne_OC_ReMix.mp3 Name: Blue_Nocturne Game: Tetris Song: Tetris Song A Remix: String Orchestral Email: blue_nctrn@yahoo.com See Attachment, I'm afraid no other way can be arranged. Comments: This remix was inspired by my best friend. One day he just said he wanted to hear Tetris and out of randomness I decided to make this. I was not so sure if this remix would turn out to be that great, but my practices with midis seemed to help greatly. At first this was not intended for OC ReMix, but I was emailed and was recommended into submitting it here. It is currently sitting in the New-Files at vgmusic.com as a midi, but due to the recommendation, I decided to improve and harmonize this song. It currently sits: http://www.vgmusic.com/new-files/Tetris_String_Arrangement.mid. There were quite many changes overall, but thanks to the email, saying that it "is one of the nicest remixes" he had heard in a while, I am quite content with this piece. Even if it does not get in, I am quite happy with it, but it would be nice overall to see it make it.

Email sub file A Link To The Orchestra.mp3 Hey guys, this is the first time I've sent in a mix. I'm not totally sure how it works, but here goes. This is an orchestrated medley of a few songs from The Legend of Zelda (Kakariko, Menu, Overworld). For a long time, I've wanted to mix some music for you guys, as I feel that since I take so much advantage of the great music already here, I should try to share my own, but I just don't really have the software to do it. I do, however, have Finale 2005, which is a music making program which I used to arrange this piece (for an orchestration class at school). Since I love your site so much, I've been aching to be able to submit something, and this is the first chance I've got. I'm not sure if it's acceptable, as I think it's in midi, but I did include it as an mp3 file if that remedies that problem. I'm sorry if I'm wasting your time if it doesn't meet the requirements. If so, though, I'd appreciate it if you could at some point reply and tell me what I need to do differently, technically and compositionally. Anyway, I think it's a pretty good orchestrated version of the pieces mentioned above, but in all honesty, it doesn't stray far from the original source material. I understand that that's a big part of your site (originality), so if that's one of the problems regarding my mix, in your opinion, I'll take the constructive criticism and do something about it. I would just like to get some feedback as to how this ranks, generally, amongst most remixes that are sent in, and what I could do better. Thanks a lot guys. I hope you enjoy it, if nothing else.
