We might need an official mix title character length limit... - djp DJP, Hey, congrats on the success of the site! I've got a remix for you, from Final Fantasy Adventure on the Gameboy system. The original song (actually two, just merged together) I have uploaded (for your convenience) as a short low bitrate mp3 which you can download here: The Actual ReMix can be accessed here: I'll be going by the mixing name BGC (stands for Big Giant Circles. But BGC is fine.) Real name is Jimmy Hinson, and website is..... *suspensful music*... www.biggiantcircles.com The best email addresses to reach me at are myheroisrockstar@aol.com and knoxvillerockstar@yahoo.com Thanks for your time and consideration, Jimmy a.k.a. I submitted this sometime in the early summer of last year. Knowing there's always a longthy list of submissions I forgot about it for a while until recently. I still haven't seen or found and judge reviews ragarding it so I was wondering wether it just fell through the submitting process or not. If you need another link to it, you can grab a copy here: I don't think email handles spaces in urls very well so you may need to copy and paste it in a browser. Sorry about that if that's the case. PS - My email address has changed since my last remix was posted (which displays my old email address on the remix info page). Game: Zelda - Link's Awakening Remix: Seaside Lullaby (Windfish Ballade) Old email address: transparentenigma@hotmail.com NEW email address: hermit@zhq2.com If this could be changed I'd be most appreciative =) Thanks, ~Hermit~

I liked it... we need the original MIDI or something, and stuff - djp Hello there – I’m new to game music remixing. Just thought you’d be interested in a submission. ReMixer Name: Daniel Fortune Real Name: Dan York Email: dan@randomrevolution.net Game: Typhoon (1988) Platform: Sinclair Spectrum ZX Publisher: Imagine Song: Typhoon (Libya Strikefighter Remix) Originally Composed by: Jonathan Dunn This remix comes from a game I used to play a lot as a kid. The Typhoon theme really appealed to me even then. So many years later, with the tune still fondly lodged in my heart, I remixed it. And this one specifically, because there appears to be a lack of any Spectrum remixes on OCR. Hopefully not for much longer.

"Ice Jam" - by Hadyn Lander (no remixer names here, just my real name, thanks) Remix of the ice cap zone theme from sonic the hedgehog 3, in the style of garage rock, with elements of The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army. I *know* the ID3 tags are wrong - your new guidelines are nothing short of absotuley freaking confusing - or maybe I'm just dumb - either way, I apologise for that inconvenience. This is my first guitar-remix I'm submitting to oc, though I have plenty more lined up for submission in the future. This one's a few months old now, just never got around to submitting earlier on. The judges always seem divided on my mixes, and I'm sure this will be no exception... Still, it's something I personally feel is better than my older works, and so I hope they can find something about it to make this my first OC mix after so many attempts. Then again, if not, atleast I get the good feedback! Keep up the great work you guys are doing, ~Hadyn

Here's the link - (Right Click Save As) About Me Artist Name: Dj Riott Real Name: David Marriott E-Mail: david_dude_22@hotmail.com Website: http://www.acidplanet.com/dj_riott User ID: 9677 Song Info Game: Metroid 2: Return of Samus Track: Main Tunnel Theme Comments: Metroid 2: Return of Samus does not have much coverage. Its track - Main Tunnel Theme - is what i have chosen to remix. My song has upbeat sections, and some eerie, flowing sections also. I was attempting to convey what you experience while playing the game; The Thrill of Adventure, The Joy in Exploration, and also, the Spooky Feeling of the Search for Metroids on an Alien Planet. Enjoy DarkeSword Edit: The mixer wants it to be known that the 3 is not a part of the title of this mix.

Contact info: "Mark_Li" Alex Lavigne markli@hkbo.net http://opera.redeemedsoft.com ReMix info: -Games mixed: Final Fantasy X & Chrono Trigger -Song names: Mt. Gagazet from FFX, and just a general melody found in Chrono Trigger, in a few songs I think. This is my first mix ever, and quite possibly my first completed song ever. I am slowly teaching myself to use Fruityloops (though its been quick, so people tell me) and I'm helped by the fact that I have always had a good ear...learned to play piano by ear, etc. Anyway, this came to me out of my desire to get something on OCRemix, and I couldn't think of a song I wanted to do more than Gagazet. The original is absolutely beautiful. The Chrono Trigger melody sort of crept in while I was working on it, so I decided to devote a few phrases to it. Overall, I'm pleased, but am open to critiques because god knows I don't know everything about this stuff yet...far from it.

Does get cooler. - djp Name: Alycia Shedd Email: shed8216@uidaho.edu Website: http://www.webpages.uidaho.edu/~shed8216/ UserID: N/A Game: Zep's Dreamland Song: Sorrow.mid Info & Comments: Zep's Dreamland is a freeware puzzle game for PC and Mac, made by Jay Bernardo of Loomsoft (www.loomsoft.net). I downloaded the game last week and immediately fell in love with it. I got in touch with the creator and he gave me full permission to remix the game's MIDI soundtrack. This is my first real attempt at remixing, and both I and Mr. Bernardo are quite happy with it. This mix was made with Apple's GarageBand software, using Dent du Midi to import the instrument tracks. Unfortunately, I'm using a Macintosh computer, and I was unable to find an ID3 editor that would let me access all of the required fields. Please edit the file as needed. Note that we don't have a set-policy on people remaking their own stuff. Evaluate as a separate mix, in comparison to the existing mix, etc.?? - djp It's been a while since my last submission, about half a year actually. This is essentially a remake of SID of Rage. That one was made 2 years ago and I feel it could have been a lot better, so this is what what I wanted it to sound like from the beginning. It takes a lot more inspiration from early 90s House, sounds like The Shamen - Move Any Mountain, with an added C64 of course. Also, this is the third time I'm reminding you, my Remixer Profile needs to have the e-mail updated to this address.

Sup man I have a song I did a while back for a video game remix competition. It was a rush job and it's a bit sloppy in parts especially the panning near the end, but I didn't have time to correct it. Still I think it's a good remix of an old classic. For OCR purposes we will call it "Castlevania II Cursed Blood". Though it's on my page as the original name "Castlevania II Bloody Tears". The link to my page is http://www.soundclick.com/bands/8/vemusic.htm I will open the song up as a free MP3 download so you can grab it. I'm pretty sure it meets all your requirements as a true remix. Composer OCR name: Ajari Song name: Castlevania II Cursed Blood Thanks, -Ajari- _________________________________________________________________ Make the most of your family vacation with tips from the MSN Family Travel Guide! http://dollar.msn.com
