Yes, another one. Hopefully, this one differs a bit to the other ones, and I wouldn't send it if I didn't think it'd add something interesting to your site. This is a Hip-Hop ReMix of the maridia2 song from Super Metroid, featuring myself - Phytre Pighlet - (The DJ and Producer (pronounced like Fighter Pilot. God I love the English spelling rules.)) and my friends MC Enrique and MC Maz, who do the rapping, and who both wrote their own lyrics. The lyrics aren't that interesting so I'm not gonna bother translating them. They aren't just mumbo-jumbo though, and they're actually very skillfully written and rhymed (IMHO) and follow the very same pattern most rap lyrics do (well, I never found most of them that interesting, anyway, save maybe Eminem's, but I don't listen that much to hip-hop). Anyhow, I hope you like the beat (urr). As for the Remixer credits, I'd like the three of us to be listen as separate remixers, since I'm very likely to submit a number of remixes in the near future, without the help of MC Enrique or MC Maz, but maybe by myself or together with other remixers, and I might work with MC Enrique again without MC Maz, and so on. The remix is hosted at the url below. I was forced to put the song in a zip file because it's filename was too long, and to change the .zip to .zzz because %@?#¤!!! Angelfire wouldn't let me download neither zips nor mp3 files. The zzz format isn't associated with any software was far as I am concerned so it should be easy enough to rename using windows explorer (instead of the dos prompt). Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hey, what's up? Yeah, I'm submitting a mix. Wahoo, you say. Yeah, I know. You get these every day. Well, I'm gonna put the URL below to give you a general idea of where to go, or better yet, EXACTLY where to go. The mix is a remix of the Final Fantasy 7 Battle theme, titled "Challenged!!!" Here is the link. —Der Wahnsinn

Hi! Remix Name: Okaa-San no Komoriuta (Translation: Mothers Lullaby) Remix of: NSF file 26/Town theme (http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/nes/eb0_mother_field1.mid) Game: Earthbound Zero/Mother From Remixer: E-Claire E-mail: andy_t482@hotmail.com ClaireWarren2@hotmail.com Website: http://www.e-claire.tk We didn't think it was anyone special, but the folks at VGmix and the WIP seemed to like it a lot, so we figured we'd give it a shot. Many thanks, Andy and Claire NB: Should the piece be rejected solely because of the background noise (I knows it bugs the heck outa me) then you can find a raw version at the following locations... This effect was achieved by handing the MP3 over to Andy's uncle Jonathan who spent a couple days doing various bits of jiggerypokery to it. We don't know what exactly...but it turned out great. (Some links may die during the submission process...that's why I mirrored it in three locations)

Artists: DCT & GrayLightning Title: Journey to Remlia Game: Astyanax Song: Remlia DCT's Website: http://www.thebigshot.com DCT: This is an orchestral/new age remix of the Remlia theme from Astyanax. Not too many people have even heard of this game but the music was really cool, especially the piece I chose to remix. I had originally written a less primitive version of this song, when the super-talented GrayLightning told me he loved what I had done so far and offered to utilize his mad orchestration skillz and make it sound fuller and more realistic. So I thank him for offering to collaborate with me and I hope you enjoy our song. GrayLightning: I fell in love with this when I heard DCT's version of this and knew I had to be involved somehow. DCT sent me the midi file of this which contained pretty much the entire framework, and style of the mix. He did most of the actual arrangement. I made a few arrangement changes by changing the rhythm and tempo at the ending sections. I added some more orchestration, instrumentation and the drums/percussion. I then did the production, mixing and mastering. DCT deserves more credit than I. DCT made the cake, I made the icing so to speak. I'm very happy to have worked on this mix with DCT. Hope you all enjoy.

Again, was gonna direct post this. Let's see if I would have been wrong... - djp Hi again djp/judges. this remix is my take on the "Dragon Lords" theme from the relatively obscure SNES RPG "Dragon View." Well, I'm not sure how obscure it really is, but I had certainly never heard of it until I received a request to mix this song. The style I went for was kind of a cross between Enigma and Vangelis... I think I came reasonably close. The original is a rather short, looping chord progression (again), so I had to expand on it a bit. Here's the relevant info: Original track..: "Dragon Lords," from Dragon View Remix title.....: Apocryphal Remixer.........: aluminum File............: MP3 192kbps CBR, 5.49MB, 4m00s Links: The original is available in the SPC archive at Zophar's Domain, but to make everyone's lives easier I also put it up here: http://www.blurringline.net/files/audio/spc/the_dragons.spc One more thing--I don't think there are any remixes from this game already, so this title screen image I grabbed might be useful: http://www.blurringline.net/files/images/linked/dview.jpg Thanks! -- aluminum

Some cool fx methinks...-djp I had written this around december of 03 , and submitted it during that timeframe as well. I didn't see anything about about four months later, and when I wrote an e-mail asking about it I haven't heard back from that either, so I really am not sure what is going on and am going to try one more time submitting my song. It is a remix of the skull mountain theme, 3-4, I believe is the right stage numbering. I'm not sure. I didn't realize Gux had done a remix of the track before I submitted, but I believe mine is different enough to where that wouldn't be a problem. I would write a lot about the song.. But since the odds of these e-mails getting through don't seem to be too high, I'll just pass on that for now. :\ -Rob

What's up OC Remix!! I'm the artist formerly known as DJ ShadowZero ;; Now I'm DJ FunkDAT [i dunno if you recall, but a few years ago, some DJ contacted you, saying that if you didn't remove my name from your site that he'd take legal actions, blah blah blah, so since then I decided to change my name to make it easier for you guys ;;] I have a whole slew of mixes ready to be submitted, which I'll do one a week or something like that... Many of these mixes will be from my newest album, [extra.life], which was premiered at my college's game festival [RPI GameFest 2004]. In case you're interested, I'm a 4th year Computer Science/Electronic Media, Arts, and Communications dual major at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute [Troy, NY], which is the closest I can get to being a video game designer major here ;; Anyway, this first submission is Aya's theme from Parasite Eve. I used Propellerhead's Reason and Sony's Sound Forge... I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed remixing it! DJ FunkDAT trand@rpi.edu

I've just finished remixing the "Home" track from Earthbound (if I recall correctly, it plays inside Ness's house). I used Reason 2.5 (I hope it doesn't show) and it didn't take a long time...a few hours here and there. I call it "HomeSweetHome". You can get the song at If it's accepted, I'm a new remixer. I go by the name of RainMan and my website is http://mylimbo.2webh.com . I can be reached at ahollett@nf.sympatico.ca . Thanks for you consideration. - Adam Hollett P.S. I think I submitted a Chrono Trigger ReMix a number of months ago. I didn't recieve any reply, but I understand because it was utter garbage (it sounded good at the time). Sorry about that. =)

Avete, OCR People! I´m submitting my new remix: Title: Terra Ulterior Originally: Final Fantasy 3 - The Forbidden Land Eureka Genre: Dance Length: 4:57 mins Bitrate: 160kbps My nick: Lucan Real name: Tobias Homann eMail: tobi.homann@gmx.de This is my version of the Eureka-theme of Final Fantasy 3 (not 6!). It is rather slow-paced, but that was intended - used to emphasize the night´s atmosphere. That´s why I added several effects. The basic chords of the Eureka theme are used at the very beginning while the theme itself starts at 1:42. Thanks for listening and Valete, Lucan

Well, I was going to apologize profusely for bothering you with this for the umpteenth time, but if the records are right, this will only be my second in 5 significant renditions. I'm also headed off broadband for 3 months, making this quite a nice time to have a judging-related hiatus. By the time I realized this, I couldn't quite give myself solid WIP time, but the mix has been through 3 WIP revisions since I last tried, and I did actually get enough feedback to make minor improvements even in a couple days, so I'm not terribly concerned. The premise, in its current evolution, is a more acoustic take on Zero's birth, life, death and resurrection, a la X1 & X2. It's a splice, as artistically as I have yet managed, of the X1 Zero conversation & action themes and the X2 Zero action theme, backed up by snatches of the cliffside credits theme from X1 and a hint of MM1 boss arpeggio. It would be thrilling if RN makes it in now, but it's not like my record's behind me. At very least I'd hope to get some prioritized list of what to keep and what to drop (you can skip "#1- samples that don't make my ears bleed", but considering how long I've been tackling that precise problem, some concrete sample suggestions could be immensely useful) Tchah. Stupid self-fulfilling prophecies. Anyhoo- Mix: Red Nostalgia Game: MegaMan X (various, but mainly 1) Mixer: seanstar And recently resurrected straight from '02 as a history lesson on the mix, or perhaps just for the next BEER: A little "I helped DJP" would be great, but hey, judging is judging. - sean

Now I've been listening to music from OCR for quite some time, and I think it's time that I give something back to the community, and try to submit a remix myself. The track I have remixed is the introduction for the game Eternal Champions, and the original song can be heard in .gym format. The soundtrack is located on Zophar's domain: http://www.zophar.net/gym/etrnchmp.rar My ReMixer name is Doragon, and my e-mail address is DoragonRyuujin@hotmail.com If any information is missing, or there are any other problems, I can be contacted by e-mail or the following ways: AIM: DoragonRyuujin X MSN: DoragonRyuujin@hotmail.com ICQ: 335557175 IRC: Doragon/Javurii in #ocremix on irc.Enterthegame.com and in #modarchive on irc.esper.net Thanks for taking your time, and hopefully I've managed to make the song worth it.

hiya. i got pointed in the direction of your site by a few guys from the Tranceaddict forums, and i believe i have something that might be of interest: Track: Davian - (Theme From) Hellfire (Surefire extended mix) Original Composer: Tatsuya Uemura Copyright: Taito (1989) This is an arrangement which uses parts of the music from the first stage of "Hellfire" on the Genesis. the ID3v1 tag info should be all there. didn't fill in the v2 tags, as they supposedly cause problems with encoding, or so mp3.com.au claim. btw, the name's Davian, site for now = www.mp3.com.au/davian thanx

FYI, my temptation was to direct-post this, but apparently there've been objections to my track record on that recently. -djp Hello Here is the link to a mix I just finished making. I originally had it at a 160 bit rate, but it was 7 megs so I lowered it to 128 to meet your under 6 MB criteria. It's a mix of the intro theme "Fear and Courage" and the "Fortress of Doom" theme. I hope you like it and it gets approved Some other information that you might want: Name to be credited to - Michael "Darangen" Boyd Email - darangen@hotmail.com No website yet Thanks for your time. -Darangen

djpretzel, Here's a remix of the level 1 stage 4 music from Kirby's Dreamland 3 (SNES). It's a great little game that's often overlooked because it's too "kiddie", even despite the fact that it's one of the few platform games ever made with co-op built in. I chose it for a couple of reasons: the first being the lack of remixes for the Kirby series on your site , and the second being the perfect adaptability of the melody to the piano. As the title suggests, I took a slightly rag-style approach, which means I went pretty easy on the instruments and effects aside from some drums and a bassline. While the comparatively lonely sound of the piano banging away may displease some, I felt it was the best way to maintain the cheerfulness and pep of the original while staying true to my goal. Anyway, here's a link to the song: If you accept it, credit it to Moose Jr. If not, C&C would be appreciated. Thanks! Moose Jr.
