Although we obviously weren't going to do it, I did get a piece of music in my head that I wanted to get out. This piece is the original composition that I am submitting to you. It is original, though it does, in some areas, use the original theme of Zelda as a melodic line. I wasn't sure whether or not to submit this to the First Zelda game, since it is using the original theme and not the theme of OoT, however, I threw in a part in which a harp takes the melody and an ocarina mimics it, just to add a neat little insider thing. However, if you think it should be placed under the original Zelda game profile, by all means. Hello. I was looking through your remixes, and I noticed that you had only three Pacman remixes. I had done one a while ago, and thought it was different enough to submit. I wanted to make something that had the same spirit as the game. Pacman, to me, is a pretty absurd concept. I decided that the remix should be serious, but play off of that absurdity a bit; hence the sound effects and clips from the game. It is called "PacmanRedux", and I hope you like it. The ideals of rearranging videogame music at its most general are not to, even if we could, "dwarf" the original compositions, but to creatively offer a compelling interpretation that honors them, regardless of artistic intent. But he prefaced that quote with the following: Everyone's saying they compared w/ the original - are these claims just bogus? Or are they legit and simply still not enough? This was the more important part of his own response to comments that the mix was lacking arrangement. Is anyone up to refuting them specifically, or better yet, contacting him and getting more details? Removing a mix that was direct posted and has been on the site awhile isn't out of the question, but it does tend to (potentially & justifiably) irk the ReMixer in question, so I'd prefer we get some direct responses to his own defense. Anyone?

Pretty nice - djp This is a remix of the trial theme from Chrono Trigger for the SNES. On the SPC provided on ocremix.org, the original is titled "Kingdom Trial". Artist is zircon, and remix title is "Calamitous Judgment". I put quite a lot of time into this and revised it numerous times with the help of the people at the WIP forum, and I'm very happy with the results. The style, you may notice, is influenced by Disco Dan's Triforce Majeure, and I think it's an uncommon style (dance/orchestral) that could use more attention. Thanks in advance!
