  1. Email sub file Street Fighter Alpha 3 - Brainwashed girl.mp3 - djp Street Fighter Alpha 3 - Brainwashed girl This is Cammy's theme from the mentioned above game. Listen for the main melody, it is tucked away in there somewhere. *lol* Hope u like it. Cool site by the way Mr Pretzel! -Jasill or The Boy Wonder, whatever sounds cooler!
  2. Hey! Hope you like this! * Contact Info o Remix name: Josh Winiberg o Real name: Josh Winiberg o contact@joshwiniberg.com o http://www.joshwiniberg.com o ID: I couldn't find this anywhere. Sorry. I was #17955 to register at the forums if that helps though. * ReMix Info o Name of game(s) ReMixed: FFVII o Name of individual song(s) ReMixed: Fighting o Your own comments about the mix, for example the inspiration behind it, how it was made, etc.: Composed during a bored school lesson after having listened to some FF Piano Collections songs. I decided to try and write on of my own, with a bit of an edge to it (I'm a big fan of Béla Barók. A cross between him and Uematsu blended together with my own compositional style in there is basically what I was aiming for.) After writing it I used the Roland Nice Piano SoundFont and used Sonar to add dynamics and tempo changes. Any chance of getting an e-mail with the result, be it yes or no? Thanks very much! Hope a Beta version will do. In addition: you might want to note that we received a confirmation on submitting this in early January, but it evidently disappeared. Any ideas? Keep up the good work! -DJ Cyker (Nat Schwartz)

  9. This is my first OC Remix, but i've been playing video game songs for years. This is a sort of simulation of playing in the underground world of SMB1, then dying and having to start the game over again. this is accomplished with a bass, a guitar, a didgeridoo, and bongos. Although the underground theme is pretty true to the original in sound and feel, the main Mario theme deviates into its own little jam session. This is not another rock and roll version of the underground mario song, though there is detectible rock influence in the track. It has a style and feel that is unique from the other mario tracks on the site. Thank you for your consideration of this remix. remixer: Ben Shroomin email: ben@bitterjug.net website: http://www.betweenplanets.com/

  11. Tempted to direct post, but not QUITE as good as Punch-Out. I still think it's great stuff and should be on the site, but I also think it should be judged. -djp This e-mail was sent in February, but I'm not sure you got it, because I never received a confirmation e-mail. Anyway, even if you did, please read it through once more since I added some information. Hello, this is Elisabeth (Wire) from Game Over. Hope you're fine. I'm writing to you because I would like to submit another Game Over remix from our (old) demo, "Nintendo Metal". Our new material isn't ready for submission yet and will not be for a while (although we're working hard! So, a new submission from us would prevent people from forgetting us or thinking that Game Over is no more. Anyway, here's the address where you can download our remix: Some data: Name of remix: "Cataclysmic Clash" which consists of the Top Man theme from Mega Man 3 and the boss theme from Mega Man 2 plus the small jingle that appears when you select a boss from the boss map. Name of band: Game Over Website: www.nintendometal.com E-mail: gameover@nintendometal.com Lyrics can be found (and copied if you like) below the message in this e-mail. Well, now that I have your attention I want to ask you if you would like to participate on our new demo. We need someone to say, like, two sentences in our new Streetfighter 2 Ken cover. I would be really cool if you did it! I think I sent a private message to you via Ocremix. You will find more information in that message. I also want to tell you that you're doing an excellent job with Overclocked ReMix! Keep it up! Your site is needed and loved. Regards, /Elisabeth. Lyrics: CATACLYSMIC CLASH Mining terror, eyes ablaze Feel the power of insurrection Robot blisters, metal wounds Cyborgs heading for war section Rebellion's pounding from below Monsteropolis is on fire Searching snakes and shadow blades The evil doctor's desire Chorus: Dwelling in infernal mine of pain Shoot and spin like a hurricane Twist and charge, attacking is in vain Fatal megalomaniac, he's insane Boiling steel of man-made flesh Put an end to the obedience Oil is staining on their hands And ahead lies their vengeance Rusty bodies torn apart Iron scattered in the night Desert lies this future scenery Dead is all the faith of Light (Chorus) Chorus 2: Fading blackened smoke where they fell Silent as if someone's cast a spell From the ground this evil deadly smell Cataclysmic clash in the name of hell Enter annihilation No turning back Cataclysmic clash (Lyrics by Wire McQuaid)
  12. Hey djpretzel- This is a remix of the "Chill" theme in Dr. Mario on NES, as kind of a downtempo, almost chillout song. It's called "Diagnosis." Since it's hosted by Angelfire (no other place to host), and Angelfire doesn't allow remote linking, you'll have to right-click+save target as and download the file, or just paste the link into IE. Here it is: Known as MightyMarg, please list my email if accepted. No real website, but I guess you could list my SectionZ profile at http://www.sectionz.com/artist.asp?SZID=13426 Thanks.

Several years after I listend the original music,I got some idea about the prelude part and flute and harp part, but I stopped for some reason. If I missed any imformation that should provide,or any feedback just e-mail to : tuba@pchome. com.tw and/or tuba_lin@hotmail.com Thanks for the great site,it let my thought and dream flying free.
  14. email sub file ff11mem_accurange.mp3 - djp Hi, here's what will quite probably happen: "Oh, the sound-quality sucks, I won't post this..." Ok, regardless of that fact, here's some info: 1. my email adress is still 2. For this semi-accustic version I used my analog Oberheim-pro-Synth, my Koch-and-Korselt Piano (88keys) and an old harmonium, where you have to pump two bellows (hence the strange squeaking sound in the background) 3. Although I played this remake myself, the notes are taken from the Doremi-Sheet-Music version... (although I played the tune a bit faster to make it under 6 MB) 4. Don't ask me for a "higher sound quality-version", thanks. best regards, Alexander Prievert ... ...
  15. zyko here. been lazy but wanted to run this by you: guess its a response to some of the talk after niggaz 4 life. luigi's mansion e. gadd's lab theme, again don't have any clue as to where i would find the original music. peace -- weed
  16. Hi, this is Bloomer, mixer ID 389 I believe! I'm submitting my remix 'Leanderesque', from the Commodore Amiga game 'Leander', from 1991. Developer/publisher is Psygnosis, Travellers Tales. The specific track I've remixed is the Shop Song. The original composer is Tim Wright. You can get the original Shop Song MOD here: http://www.coldstorage.org.uk Hit the MODs section. The song title is 'Shop', from Album/Project 'Leander'. It was to be found on page 07 when I wrote this. I haven't given a direct link in case the site changes. My mp3 is here: Personal comment: Leander's soundtrack is well-known in MOD circles, but oddly I like this track more than the in-level music. In a post-overdosing on Aphex Twin period, my original more verbatim doodlings of the song in Music 2000 evolved into something more Aphex Twinnish. Believe it or not, this took about half a year to put together on and off, due to an amazing/horrible journey involving tracking it on a PS1 originally, then manually transcribing it over to the PC version of the same program (a couple of months in itself) then compensating for 1000 bugs in that program, and having to copy files between computers all the time. I think musically it's deceptively sophisticated, so I hope if it's too much to absorb in one hit, the judges will give it a few listens so they can hear all the ways I am constantly reconnecting the original melodies, for instance in the intro, where it won't be apparent at first. Pardon me for so much editorialising but I was just driven to say this because my first review at vgmix came from some lackwit from Sweden: 'too much going on', 'too much drums!' and 'you could have done better in half a year! Horrible! Awful!' etc. Presumably the whole of Aphex Twin's output would be too much going on for this guy. ANYhow!.. thanks for listening and I hope you like it. Thanks - Wade Clarke AKA Bloomer

  21. Seems quite impressive to me - djp Hey DJP, I'm a new mixer, this is my first time doing anything like this. I have always loved this song from FF8, and thought it deserved more time in the spotlight: My Info: Hungry Joe is my mixer name Nate Jasensky is my real name The Game the mix is from is Final Fantasy 8, the Breezy theme to the second town in the game. Some people have mixed feelings on the different parts of this mix, and how they work together, but I think I've worked them out to be fairly flowing, and I like to think of this song as a kind of medley of one theme in varied styles. I hope you enjoy!
  22. I apologize for the tags, I really have no idea what to do when it comes to them. I tried reading up on them, but I just couldn't understand it. My remixer name is Darangen and the remix is from Final Fantasy 6 (SNES). This is a remix of Gau's theme, with little hints of the Veldt as well near the end. It's a vocal mix as well, written through the eyes of Gau and how I think he feels. Here is the setting of the song: It's raining (obviously) and Gau is forced to take refuge in the cave on the veldt. He then sits just inside the entrance, looking out into the storm, thats when these thoughts come to his mind about how he's all alone and how he longs to find someone willing to accept him. He starts thinking about it and the person he'd like to meet and he gets a little joyful about it (4:35), but then reality hits him and he sees the storm again, making him remember that he's still all alone. And in case the lyrics don't seem clear for you, here are the lyrics: I've gone through many days like this Never wanted or missed Every day's the same Endless recurring pain No one's with me, regardless of wherever I roam I feel empty, all alone I never thought this day would end Still alone, still no friends Still alone by myself I'm here but no-one else Am I dreaming? Will this pain be gone if I ever wake? This is more than I can take 'Gather ye rosebuds while ye may, Old time is still flying.. For this same flower that smiles today, Tomorrow will be dying..' Forever walking down this road No one cares, no one knows The feeling inside of me A passion that burns to be So much nearer, to somebody that would understand To show no fear, and take my hand * The "Gather ye rosebuds..." part is a reading of the poem "To The Virgins, To Make Much of Time." * Hope you like it, and thanks for listening. - Michael 'Darangen' Boyd

  24. Hi. I'm a first time submitter. My nickname would be Robo. This is a medley of the upper and lowerworld tunes from Legend Of Zelda (the 1st). It was my examination composition from the Music Conservatory of Stockholm 2000. It's intended and written for a symphonic orchestra. How nice wouldn't that sound compared to my Roland XP-10. Anyways. You'll find it at: Tell me if you need some info about me or the songs. Btw. Don't show my e-mail. ys :: mattias
