  1. ReMix Name: Memory of a little girl Original: Tifa's Mothers' Theme Game: Final Fantasy 7 Site: www.orichalcon.co.nr Email: the_orichalcon@hotmail.com Hey it's TO again. I made this last year, but I forgot about it until now. It has vocal loops from descent 3 and orchestral sounds. The orchestral parts were recorded at 112 kbps, but I think they still sound fine. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SEEK: Now with over 50,000 dream jobs! 2. This is a 80s style new age/rock/orchestral arrangement of Secret of Mana's Star of Darkness and also a variation of my OC mix, Drifting Towards the Stars. It is similar in style of some of Vangelis' or Kitaro's works. I started and finished this remake of one of my older mixes of the same name, sometime early last year and then touched it up recently. Although it's essentially a bit old, I think it has aged well. It has taken a year to finally find a guitarist willing and able to complete the lead electric guitar work, so I could finish this mix. Lucky for me, my good friend Snappleman agreed to do it. Hope you enjoy. 7. Nocturnal email: stankproductions2004@hotmail.com or stankproductions2004@yahoo.com Website (not complete): www.geocities.com/stankproductions/Music.html Wow! I have been watching ocremix for 2-and-a-half years now, and am greatly impressed at the at what you guys do here. The skill here is unbelievable! @_@ I have been creating music for almost two years now, just for personal enjoyment. And until recently, I was hesitant to try to remix, and, as I thought, it was a little bit more difficult to accomplish than made-from-scratch music. The remix came from music found in Vagrant Story, which I believe has not been remixed yet. I got ideas for the song mainly from the themes in the "undercity" and the "catacombs." Due to the nature of the music in Vagrant Story, I believed some ambient sounds taken from the game would fit nicely with the song and add to its mood. I tried to keep the echoey nature of most of the bgm. I seperated the melodies I wanted from the undercity theme, and added on to them slightly. I really enjoy the harp sound I was able to use, it changes the mood of the original a lot. Drums and all notes were composed on Fruityloops 3. I used FL 4 Demo to mix the sound lvls. Then used a sonic foundry program to cut up and place the sounds into the song. Im not quite sure what style of music it is exactly, but I like how it sounds. Anyway, I did this just for fun and would greatly appreaciate any criticism I can get from outside sources (always striving to do better). Side Note: If this remix actually makes it, I can scan the cover of the game and email it for the image if needed. Thanks, and sorry for my sparatic writing, Joshua Wilkins
  8. hi djpretzel, i would like to submit this piece to your awesome site. but before i go any further, i should explain a couple things: i'm involved in the making of a game called 'unreal annihilation' (http://ua.tauniverse.com). it's a mod for the unreal engine, and is a remake of the RTS game, 'total annihilation' by cavedog. the song i created is for this mod. while it isn't a remake of any song in particular, i was trying to imitate the style that jeremy soule used for the original total annihilation soundtrack. i'm not sure whether or not that qualifies this song to be on your website, but i wanted to try anyway; i've been inspired to submit something ever since i heard the track that jeremy soule himself submitted here! here's a link to the song: if it does get on your site, you can credit it to Neil Benjamin. my handle on the site is 'nineinchneil'. you can list this email address too: nineinchneil67@yahoo.com, and my website, which is: . for the most part i tried to stay away from samples that sounded synthetic, but they managed to get in anyway! my main influences for this was the original 'total annihilation' soundtrack, and the 'mechwarrior 2' soundtrack. it took me four days, from concept to end result. i was also working on a chrono cross remix, but that's been put on hold for a bit due to lack of time. if this doesn't make it, at least i hope you enjoy it. thank you, neil benjamin
  9. Artist: Skuzz Web Site URL: www.skuzz.com E-Mail: skuzz@skuzz.com I have talked with a lot of OC remix listeners both locally and on the 'net and they all keep telling me to submit my remix of Magus' theme since they say there don't seem to be any good ones on the site that fully exploit its potential, so here it is! I went for a dark and evil yet jumpy remix, Magus kicking ass in style! This whole submission thing is quite new to me, hopefully I did it right! Hope you like it as much as everyone else has! Nick aka Skuzz
  10. Hi guys! I've made a remix of the nes classic gunsmoke level 1 song You can download it at My artist name is cranky and my email anders@carbello.se Let me know if you like it, ok? cheers, Anders
  11. New Remixer! Name: Metaphist Remix: Ikaruga PolarityBreak Comments: It's from the Chapter 5 theme. I went for two different beats to emphasize the "polarity switch" theme that the game revolves around. That sound effect right before the second melody comes in is actually from the game when you switch color. And of course, at the end, the sound effects when you die and must continue. For the most part I am satisfied with this, and most definately enjoyed making it, but my only regret was my limited Fruityloops sample library. I mean -- they have eveything you need with drumsynth and whatnot, but there are certains sounds that you'd like to find elsewhere, y'know? I want to do more on this game and hopfully my next submission will be even better. _________________________________________________________________ From must-see cities to the best beaches, plan a getaway with the Spring Travel Guide! http://special.msn.com/local/springtravel.armx

  15. email sub - Metroid Zero Mission - Ridley's End - OC ReMix.mp3 Hey overclocked.org people. This here is my take on the "Norfair" theme present in Metroid Zero Mission (the full game title couldnt fit in the ID3v1 tag, so i put it in the ID3v2 one). My alias for your website is gonna be my AIM s/n, MistaZanMan, but my real name is Jamal Dorce. Also, my e-mail is umchibidiba@yahoo.com. Thanks in advance for checking out my stuff, sorry i had to send it as an attachment, but i have no where to post it and its a really small file. Thanks again! Stay funky. -Jamal Dorce aka MistaZanMan i JUST sent a submission for a track i did for Metroid Zero Mission. i was in a hurry, and forgot to mention that i dont know the original composer of the song, and hope that isnt a problem. also what you hear on the song is nothing but my 4 string ernie ball electric bass, and i recorded and mixed it in cakewalk, recording direct through my pc's soundcard. I pictured this going nicely with a sort of cinematic in my head of ridley losing to samus in an epic fight, as they always love to do in most metroid games. heh, anyway sorry about having to send two e-mails. *bows down for forgiveness* -Jamal Dorce aka MistaZanMan
  16. Hey, I have another one for you guys... remix of the Shenmue theme. Let's see... it's mid April... so I guess I'll be seeing this hit the end of the queue in June, methinks. Tag this one as "Arkimedes" like my Halo remix... here's the link: And keep up the good work with the site! -Jaron

  18. Mmm - interestingly enough, I suppose, for me personally the bassline is one of elements that I'm 100% sure about and wouldn't have wanted any other way. The nature of the bassline is such that it needs enough edge to reach into the midrange, as it's playing sort of a dual role. Or at least, that was the intention.
