  1. is OCR doing An OverClocked Christmas anymore? I miss those...
  2. so is there anything else I can use my sennheiser e815s for? I'd much rather not throw 70-80 bucks away.
  3. I have the sennheiser e815s. I like it but every time I record things with it(violin, vocals,Guitar etc.) I get a plethora of white noise along with the sound. is there something I could do to reduce the white noise without a room remodel? would a mic isolator + filter do the trick? or would I need a new room? any suggestions?
  4. is an external mixer really a need? what exactly is it's function? could I do all the same things with my DAW?(I really need to conserve my desk space) and are dual monitors really necessary(again, desk space)
  5. Quite possibly one of the best DAWs out there: http://www.presonus.com/ I use it all the time.
  6. bet y'all are getting sick of me by now(I'm trying to make a good remix, really ) Here's the latest try: Endless Sorrow~Final Fantasy IX (I ain't sayin' it's done yet) source:
  7. well, depends on at least 2 things: how big your hard drive is and how much $$ you plan to spend when I started the VG stuff like 3 months ago I'd already pissed away lots of money. lucky for me I found GPO that helped. later on, I purchased World Instuments (cuz world is my style). there's also a pretty decent free guitar VST(free is good right? lol) out there. hope this helps.
  8. Absolutley fantastic book if I do say so myself. now I just need to finish up the soundtrack for a friend's game and I can put together a demo reel lolz
  9. If you can, get your hands on music from the VGM "pioneers" (uematsu, mitsuda, koji kondo, etc.) don't try to copy them necessarily. just listen to the music figure out what you like about it and incorporate those elements into your own music, at least that's what I did.

  12. My Debut Album, Welcome To Scarborough Fair(e), is now Available. Info vid here: enjoy.
  13. ok, so what's the deal with terapack licenses? how do I get 'em?
  14. is there a free TRIAL for EWQL VSTs(specifically Gypsy & symphonic choirs?)
  15. to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Zelda I made a remix dedicated to her Goddess Form, Hylia. plz tell me what you think of it so far(and to whoever told me to work each part of the song in isolation, thanx for the advice):
  16. I'm looking for anyone to help me with 2 Languages (translations + Pronunciations): Irish & Latin
  17. zelda looks absolutely gorgeous in this game...kinda makes me wish I was her. Link's lucky.
  18. today's version: update from yesterday(drums, more bassline, etc): well I took a break from this for a while, finished up some non VG music stuff, came back and did a complete overhaul. I matched up the timing, it goes from 6/8 to 4/4 & back a couple of times. btw, if anyone's interested it's 70 bpm. I added some simple basslines. no drums yet tho. any suggestions for drums would be greatly appreciated lol :
  19. I played the demo. I think it's kinda tedious. I for one hate the battle system because of the fact that I could probably blindfold myself and kick ass. I saw the trailer tho. 24 year old Hope Esthiem(did i spell that right) is F-I-N-E;-)
  20. I recommend Presonus' Studio One 2 Producer($200) and for decent orchestra sounds, Garritan Personal Orchestra(VST Expansion)($150)
