Oh, here we go. I can't wait to see how many people lash out against either the metal or the vocals. Admittedly, I'm not a screamo/man-growl kind of guy, but with lyrics like this, based on a game I love, with a voice that sounds decent, this is an damn good exception. The guitar work is fantastic and it really has the rough, dirty, and frantically angry sound that a final battle should have. And to be fair, without the lyrics page, I could make out about 95% of the words to Brandon's "man-growls" more than regular metal singers, so good job for doing what I thought was impossible: Growling a song hard enough to be metal, yet light enough to be heard. DKC metal!

Interesting. It does have that evil child vibe to it, with the dark sounds and "tinking" going on. A bit on the "meh" side for me, but well done and gets its point across. The quirkiness of the song does give it the demented atmosphere it needs. Nice.

This mix just goes to show how amazing the DKC 2 Album turned out. To take a dark song and make it even darker with a good beat is amazing. The slow down was sweet and the way it builds back up before hitting that cresendo is sick! Very enjoyable. Oh, BTW, this is the first ReMix I've heard that was so good that someone else made a mashup with it. It's alright, but between "Forgot about Dre" and this, this ReMix is the real prize.

Cool little funky mix here. Personally, I couldn't imagine this ReMix without the voice clips. Probably because I like Sakura and Street Fighter, so the clips don't annoy me as much as they would others. The piano playing the main melody under the upbeat funk was really interesting, especially at half-way. A bit of a party mix to me, and a favorite, for sure.

Dan's.....ice cream truck. Alright, points for the creative title. If OCR did anything for me, it's gotten me to appreciate jazz a little more. I can at least sit still and listen to it long enough to enjoy a good tune. That being said, this is a very good tune. The violin was hot and the great piano playing was the cherry on top for this one. Nice to see Dan get a little coverage.

Psytranced-charged electronica? You have my attention. The beginning is easily the best part. Jill's vocals REALLY sets this up nicely. Then the music just sounds so amazing! I can actually relax to this even though it's upbeat for 99% of the track. The voice clip was a nice touch, especially since you didn't over do it with Hakan sounds all over the mix. Outro was very nice and settled out well. Very cool. It's almost criminal on how long it took me to review this, but Zircon, Jill, A + for you!

Always, always, always loved McVaffe's stuff. This ReMix is no exception. The soothing piano for the first minute is really good, and then it picks up with junglish jazz indeed. I gotta say, I was never big on jazz, but drum-driven jungle type jazz, I can get into. Great ReMix.

Thunder storm sounding beginning? Ace in my book. I'm going to be honest, not fond of the opening after that, but it picks up REAL quickly with that funky jazzish section followed by rock followed by....well, everything else you can mash into a ReMix to make it sound awesome! Yes, this is one of those "goofy" ReMixes that you have to listen to a couple of times to get, but I finally got it and I love it. ilp0 did fantastic with this. Oh, thunder outro! Score!

Hmmm.....I could have sworn I reviewed this already, Oh well. The beginning sets up those good ol' spooky organs right before the next minute and a half shows just how good this guy is! Nice head nodding tune. Then it changes to the section with the voices clips and for some reason I was reminded of 2 Unlimited. Love the voice clips! And then to go back to the head nodding beat again finishes up the track nicely. Damn good ReMix, here. Oh, yeah, I could hear the Deadmau5 style in some parts, but that's a great thing.

Very cool, driven track. The synths were something I didn't expect, but I enjoyed it throughly. The intro built the track up very nicely and I'm glad we finally have an awesome and memorable remix of LJ's Saga. Well done on this one.

LOL, should we have Hyadain's FF4 Battle with Four Fiends remix as well here in OCRemix?
Yes! I agree completely! I've had this song (and plenty of Hyadain's stuff) on my MP3 for a long time, and I never thought it would end up on OCR. Overall, it's a good, fun, slightly crazy song that doesn't fail to put a smile on my face. And the fact that he made that Peach voice is impressive enough for me.

Happy Birthday, Jose!

Very cool. I love when someone tries to add lyrics to these songs because they're like blank slates that you can add to. Being able to do a vocal track and pulling it off is great. Pulling it off, in another language than English much less, is extremely impressive. These ReMixers definitely pulled this track off amazingly. The music has a great pop beat and the singing was beautiful. One of the highlights of the DKC 2 album for sure.

The cool thing about this ReMix is if you just listen to it and try not to think about it, it seems like it's over just when it's starting, which is funny to me considering it's about five minutes long. I could chill out to this for a long time. I love pieces like this, and repeat listens are recommended.

This is simply amazing! The echoing children was a very cool touch that I imagine several people may have found slightly haunting. The guitars were so full of win in this ReMix. Easy example of the mix surpassing the original, in my opinion.

I truly enjoy the atmospheric sound of this song. Really, it's one of those peaceful songs that I can use to lay back and relax with. A very satisfying take on this tune.

Is this the first level/area theme?
Actually, it's the Area 2 theme. This ReMix shows some great guitar work. I remember hearing the WIP and loving it. I kinda hope the other Area themes get some ReMixes as well. This was one of those games where the music shined.

Man, you just beat organs when they're done right and thrown into a funky little ReMix like this one. It's just one of those songs that brings a smile to my face.

I started with Super Mario World and a bunch of Atari's. I think Pitfall was the first Atari I played, but damn, that was a long time ago....

Well, damn. How'd I miss this one? Oh well, Happy Birthday Willrock!

I've heard lots of MMZ themes having a bit of coincidence to real songs, mostly classic rock. I'll see if I can find them again.
Found the one I was looking for:
Gravity from MMZ 2:
Kashmir from Led Zepplin: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKtfjsonPFE
Just like yours, the intro sounds close to me. Dude on YT noticed it as well.
