Damn, I didn't realize I missed almost every Aquatic Ambiance ReMix when reviewing. The opening sound effects were very impressive and the smooth lead in set the mood. After the energy picked up, I loved it. It seemed weird to me hearing a technoish beat with a piano lead, but that wasn't a bad thing at all. Still seems a bit conservative on the melody in the middle, but really, there is no fault when its THIS melody. Disco Dan pulled this off nicely and this is a win to me. Thank god for a smooth and classy ocean ending.

I can hear where this was supposed to go, and I think it only got some of the way there. Some of the samples seemed weak or completely fake and the end was abrupt and awkward. Still, it wasn't so far down that I couldn't enjoy it and a revised version would probably take this the rest of the way. Not amazing, but alright.

That rocking lead was hot! Good dance beat and most of the vocals go well. Very nice rock techno ReMix. The only thing I don't like about this one is those damn monkey calls at the end. Seemed too shrill and annoying rather than fitting like the beginning ones. Also, random explosion at the end was random. End just didn't do it for me at all, but other than that, cheers on a good ReMix.

The piano was beautiful in this, it really was. I enjoyed that bit, and then the bit with the piano and the synth, and then the synth alone. Can't say I liked the monkey roars and stuff like that, but it didn't seem like it was there for even ten seconds, so it didn't really bother me. Great ReMix, but I dug the piano bit more than the synth bit. Sounded the best when they were together, but that's just me.

Lots of great energy in this ReMix. The breakdown was still energetic without being overly hyper and the beat really grooves. Definitely a cool take on the track.

Hmm, interesting ReMix. Goes in quite a few places but doesn't seem to overdo it. I can picture the whole dolphin swimming through the sea with dreary clouds coming in, and then the storm breaking out in guitar before the peace returns in the end. Love the piano. When that guitar opens up, sweetness! Gotta say that the ending was a good finish after that.
-
Oh, nice! I'm really digging the jazzy Latin beat that gets stronger over the course of the mix. This is simply amazing! Man, this is a sexy ReMix, especially in the last two minutes. Damn.
-
Real close to the original on this one. Almost too close. But seeing as how the original was terrific, I can't really fault it. Sounds like a ramped up version and I can dig that. Really chill and relaxing.

Wow, this blows my mind right here. The idea that a five second tune can create something as dark, creepy and suspenseful as this is fantastic. It says with that tense feeling the whole way through and doesn't get overly frantic, so this ReMix definitely works for me.
-
It's an impressive ReMix for sure. The funky bass and the stronger drums lead the way. The only nitpick I'd have is that it seemed to take a long time to get to that sweet 2:23 point of the mix where everything turns gold. I dunno, maybe it's just me, but I kinda felt that maybe a slight switch up was in order somewhere in there to keep interest before the climax. Still, great stuff on a good source and it really shows how good you are. I'm loving the RHCP vibe I get from it as well.

Ah, relaxing, easy going and peaceful. It really does give off that "floating through space" feeling that seems to be key in this game and music. The vibe is just so smooth and natural. I'm glad the first SMG ReMix turned out to be enjoyable and solid. Hopefully the rest of the game gets some love, cause the soundtrack opens up so many possibilities for sweet mixes like this one.

Oh....such beautiful music, good sir! The piano was SO good, and when the drums kick in, holy shit! This has....em....let's see if I can say it right, a kind of classy heroic anthemish thing going on in the middle, and it really blows me away before ending on that piano again. It's just one of those ReMixes that are so amazing, they seem to go by really fast and truly make me want more. Thank goodness for the repeat button.

Ah yes! The Final Road......the best ReMix for this would need a great intro build up, grand instrumentation, breakdown that has Koopa's theme in a dark chord and an epic finish in it complete with bells and thunder............oh, I'll be damned, this has all of it! Seriously, this is awesome, very fitting for one of the last tracks.

Wait, a Mega Man X series track than isn't rock or electonica and sounds amazing? Madness! The smooth piano and hip hop beat is soooooooooo good. Such a peaceful mellow ReMix that is relaxing and calm. This ReMix would be the kinda thing that would blow my mind after a hard day's work or just need to chill out a bit. Awesomeness all around.

Man, I'm going through a lot of techno tracks today.
All I can say about this one is that it is a really enjoyable ReMix. Nice electronica drum beat, clear and strong melody presented, and some interesting effects like the thunder and the "Zero the Ultimate Warrior" voice lines. Not a ReMix that demands to be the best, but enjoyable nonetheless.

The chords are the mix. Seriously, I love Trance and I can say that a lot of it is the same beat filled with different sections and areas. This is great work, there is no denying that, and to apply it to Gravity Beetle's theme was cool. It does run a bit long with the repetitiveness, but after years of listening to this type of music, I've gotten used to that (considering some trance goes like this about six or seven minutes) and this is close to perfect on length for me. Sweet stuff.

Still this is freaking rocking out. Very tense and darkly determined.
My thoughts exactly. This is the kind of mood setting dark beats I enjoy. It has a good background beat, while the foreground sets the dark atmosphere of danger and determined action. It's a really good combo I'd like to see more of. Enjoyed the ending credits that sounded like it came from those Window's voices.

Interesting piece, starts off slow and calmish, then hits a good beat around 1:00. Gets really crazy around 2:00 and yet mostly it seems spread out enough to overwhelm and congest everything. The pacing is great and those winding electronics booms in right after 3:00 and good lead up to a finish around the 4;00's. This ReMix is great and brings in great stuff around every minute so that it doesn't become the stale type of electronic. Awesome.
-
Very nice stuff going on here. Slow piano opening, faster electronic midsection, solid ending. Not really much more to ask for in a good ReMix. Sounds more like a flashback theme than a battle theme, but I'm cool with that considering how good it sounds. I do think it kinda does end a bit faster than one might expect with how it flows, but still, sounds great.
-
Sweetness. Yeah, the stronghold showdown theme was really forgettable to me sadly, to the point that I didn't even remember it, and DKC 2 is one of my favorite games. But it was good and full of potential. That's when you have to ask "who can take this 22 second thing and turn it into a epic sound-scape that rings in the John Williams style feeling and give it some life?" Nutritious did by a long shot. Grand, adventure bringing goodness that screams movie soundtrack. I love it. Great ReMix.

Less than a day? Really? Damn, the ReMixers here are beasts to knock out mixes like this in a day. I truly am glad to see the Triforce Chamber get a good ReMix. The "Kirbyness" of this makes me smile, and I actually enjoy the chipy-chirpy sound of this. Impressive and grin worthy.
-
I like the variations that you do in the track, starting out with distortion guitar, after that some piano, and then some techno sounds.
Agreed. The opening guitar work and piano worked together well in the track. The way the ReMix goes in and out of styles was a nice touch. A good ballad if I do say so myself.
-
Soft, then wacky. Yep, a break beat forest indeed. Good to have that good old Kirby energy working for the track. Very impressive work, and the slow down parts to the piano and Co. were very welcomed for variety sake.

Wow. This is really a coincidence. I really had no intention of reviewing by ReMixer, but going down the list of songs I wanted to review, it turns out I've been behind on a couple of PrototypeRaptor's stuff. And what amazing stuff it is. Drum and Bass Kirby is always welcome when it comes to bosses, especially when you go as hard and as intense as this. Top notch music, and throwing in the legendary Vincent Price laugh was the delightfully creepy cherry on top. I really do like that laugh. Ahahahahahahaha!

Maybe it's just me, but the beginning build is pretty sweet. It just sounds like something big is coming, and it does. This is funkier than Funky Kong....and that pretty funky. The piano was a pretty nice little breakdown before the grand whooping section. Loud and proud, this ReMix is.
