  1. So is THAT what it takes to get Gray on projects? Hmmm...
  2. Of course he's good. Why do you think I recruited him and am trying to get him to choose a damn track or two for the Tales project? And where might they get the idea that Gray is a jerk? He's always been a nice guy over at VGMix...
  3. One word - awesome I think that outlook goes for the entire project. I can't wait for the final product on this one.
  4. Haha, yes, this is the intro. A well-done interpretation, at that.
  5. I appreciate the help. I feel it would be rude to contact artists directly and ask them, but I suppose I will if it will get them onto the project. That's what I've been doing with the Tales project. Seems to be working. It works, so long as you aren't all like "OMG BE ON THIS PROJECT NOW OR I KILL U!111" When I've gotten everyone that I'm interested in being on the Tales project, then I'll be making a thread about it here. On a more related note, good luck, Walan! This should be one of the most creative remix projects yet, if it does indeed come to full fruition.
  6. I think it makes sense to do it by the coordinators choosing instead of a voting process. Remember, Snapple didn't say that the voting process will be done away with altogether; if some songs are very close to each other in terms of quality, they would be voted on. It's a great way to ensure quality control, and it's a good idea on the part of Snapple and KFC to make sure the project is consistant and well-rounded when it is complete. A very good idea, I think. I might have to "borrow" it once I can get my own project off the ground.
  7. I have honor? News to me...
  8. Hell, Larry already does the show using Winamp on his laptop, anyway. He's already halfway towards using Shoutcast for broadcasting!
  9. This is looking to be the most promising OCR site project yet. Excellent work by KFC and Snap to get this all set up. I look forward to the final product; I'm sure it will live up to the awesomeness of the original soundtrack and do it justice. Now, can someone PLEASE pick up Marble Garden?
  10. Interestingly enough, I've never played Dragon Warrior myself, but I still found a lot of the stuff XMark referenced funny. I think it partially was because most of it was just good ol' RPG cliches, and that I am slightly familiar with the DW storyline due to the fact that my best friend absolutely loves the series. I think a little bit of familiarity is helpful, but I think it's funny enough to stand on its own, too.
  11. I've realized that the DW Radio Drama Hour is probably a lot funnier if you're familiar with the game, so that might be why some hate it. Either that, or there's just some people that have no tastes.
  12. The musical sections of it all were actually based on a real entry that XMark was planning on working on for the DoD contest, but he didn't have the time to finish it, so he took what he had and turned it into a radio drama. I thought it was a great effort from him, and I hope he finishes that one off, as well as does more.
  13. Let's see you do a radio drama where you use only your voice. And make sure it's at least half as awesome as that one was.
  14. I'd so totally lose, because physically I'm a wimp. I have no idea what you have planned, Larry. I just said it was scary because that seemed like a good word to choose at the time.
  15. Some shttyrdiohstfgt named Larry asked me to call in to this show this week, so despite my best judgement, I'm going to call in. Should be scary.
  16. Except for the fact that the lyrics get driven into your skull oh so easily...
  17. More Ashane songs, you say? http://www.vgmix.com/search.php?username=Ashane&show_songs=1&wip=1
  18. Sounds good, Fox. Lookin' forward to listening to at least part of the show.
  19. Holy crap...DoD is about to get huge, getting an official link from OCR. This song is excellent, Ashane-y awesomeness. Everyone, be sure to check out his other DoD entries, as well as the entries from his brother, housethegrate.
  20. So is the future of VG Frequency in question, or will there be future shows, whether it be via Shoutcast, or another station, something like that?
  21. Alright, where can I find this?
  22. That's because his wasn't intended to sound bad or as a joke mix. You have to admit, it is surprising to see a good mix go up on April Fools Day here, because I don't think it's happened before.
  23. Heh, guess my last post was deleted, since it didn't have anything to do with this mix. Understandable. Anyway, this song is definitely "1337", although I myself prefer the one with the guitar instead of synth (Go grab it at http://www.earemix.com if you haven't heard it. Or get it while Supertux has it). Still, an excellent song. It surprised me on April Fools, simply because it was actually GOOD. Then I remembered, this was analoq, who couldn't make a bad remix to save his life, but still won bad remix contests. Nice job, analoq. I'll be listening to this for a long time to come.
  24. Suckage on the computer, Larry. I've got my own show going, but I really need to try to start listening to other shows, including VGF, again. I've been so out of the loop as far as most VG radio goes, it's terrible. I'll check it out sometime next week!
  25. It's Sonik Caves. The song titles got mixed up, so now this is officially NMG.
