UPDATE Here we are once again; another due date, come and gone. Impressive work all around, folks! We're slowly but surely making progress, with most of the music taking shape and sounding very nice. In case you haven't been paying attention, we have a few new additions to the project: Sixto, who will be taking on the track The Second Act - AkumajoBelmont, who's going to be arranging Arche's theme - and analoq, who's tackling Last Battle Decision. All three of them will be providing their talents and making this the best project that we can possibly make it. Welcome aboard, gentlemen! I'll be discussing your songs and due dates with you soon. In other news, the next WIP due date: October 5th. I'll say it again: OCTOBER FIFTH. FIVE-TH. OF OCTOBER. That's roughly 3 and a half weeks. Why so little time? Most of the songs are either finalized as far as composition, or quickly making progress to a finished composition. Three weeks should be plenty of time for most of you to get something together. Three minutes of material, to be exact (unless your song is just short by nature), or a near-finalized composition are the requirements. I've also decided that anyone who has not sent me ANY form of a WIP (those still under Planning and Post-Planning, not including the new musicians) WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE PROJECT, NO QUESTIONS ASKED. We're lookin' to speed things up, folks, so get crackin'! Remember, the next WIP due date is OCTOBER 5TH. Let's see some progress! Or, in other words: "GET TO WORK, MAGGOTS! THREE AND A HALF WEEKS TIL THE NEXT DUE DATE AND IF YOU'RE NOT REMIXING DURING EVERY MINUTE OF THOSE THREE WEEKS YOU'RE GONNA BE SCRUBBIN' THE BATHROOM WITH A TOOTHBRUSH FOR FOUR! DISMISSED!"

Oh, Shael. I'm amazed this project hasn't garnered more attention, but it seems to be growing ever so slowly. Looks good so far, guys! -
Yeah, a few people kinda missed the due date. BUT, there won't be removals for tardiness this time. Maybe next time, though. Expect a longer post (with the new due date) sometime later. In the meantime, I'll accept whatever WIPs come my way. All I'll say about the due date right now is this: You'd probably be better off preparing your WIPs RIGHT NOW, because you won't be getting much time. More to come!

You could just, y'know, check his OCR profile. -
No worries, my man. I know you'll rock this project as it's never been rocked before. I'm lookin' forward to getting my face blown off. Go play badly in Halo or something. XD I prefer Unreal Tournament myself. ;P

Here are the people that need to send me a WIP of at least one of their songs (if they signed up for multiple songs) by September 12th, 11:59 PM (their local time), or at least send me a PM or contact me in some way by that time: Ashane CC Ricers DarkeSword Please talk to me ASAP, if I haven't spoken to you already.

That'll be great, Usa. Tracks are slowly getting close to finished! The due date is TOMORROW, folks! There's still quite a few people that I haven't received anything from, so please get something to me ASAP! Remember, we will be looking at the songs and making cuts on this due date as well, so turn in your best work!
-
Sounds good, CC. Just send me the updated version ASAP.

I'm back! Glad to see everything is staying together, and that a few WIPs have trickled in. There's still a lot of folks that I haven't heard from in regards to WIPs and/or finished tracks, so if you haven't stepped forward with anything as far as a WIP of some sort, please do so ASAP. Thanks!
-
Just a quick check-in while I'm on vacation. Things are going well (still don't have all the WIPs, though ) and I've updated the track status list. Songs are trickling in, so keep up the good work, folks!

You guys may want to switch the track order of Doomsday and Final Boss; Final Boss comes before Doomsday in the game, and as far as I know, SnappleMan was going to make them fade together in that order. Just a thought. -

If you're worrying about this project enough for it to be causing your heart to explode, you're definitely worrying way too much. Just relax for a bit, and don't worry yourself to death! These things take time, and killing yourself wouldn't be good for the project. Take it easy, and don't try to rush through it; the project will finish itself if you just keep nudging it along, little by little. It may take a long time, but who said the greatest things in the world happened overnight? -

Sixto? Yeeeeesssss...It just keeps getting better and better. Hopefully that October 31st release still holds up! -
UPDATE Tomorrow (Wedneday), I'm leaving on vacation for one week (which means I'll be back next Wednesday night). In that time, the project will be in Lea's hands, so any and all correspondence should be directed towards her. I don't know if I'll have a chance to check in, as internet access where I'll be is limited. I'll try and check in at least once, though, and if I see you giving Lea problems, there will be hell to pay. She also has my cell phone number/email address, so in the case of project emergencies or unanswerable questions, I'll still be able to be contacted. You're all still stuck with me until about 10:30 AM west coast time until tomorrow though, so don't break out the parades and parties just yet. WIPs should either be posted to the project forums, sent to Kureejii Lea by PM, or sent to talesproject@gmail.com, NOT to me. If you send your WIP to me while I'm gone, the list will likely not be updated and you won't receive feedback, so please make sure you send it to the correct person. And that's it! I'll be glad to finally get away from you all for awhile! (No actually, I kinda hate to just leave like this. But I'll be back!)
-
Arek, I think you might be rushing things. There will be some stragglers. It's part of running a project.
-
Alright, I've got plenty of backups! Actually, I really want to hear something recorded from you, Soraya. You keep talkin' about it, so let's hear it!
-
His song is almost done, but as far as I know it's not completely finished yet. I think Usa's talked to him...

UPDATE We're quickly approaching the due date yet again, which means it's time for quick status checks. It is imperative that I hear from these people, otherwise they may potentially be removed from the project: Rubbler Eric Dude Fusion2004 Master Link EgM Ichitootah Paragon CC Ricers Mythril Nazgul DarkeSword Nick Tam If you're on this list and I haven't contacted you yet, please contact me as soon as possible with a status update (or a new WIP) of the song/s you're working on. Failure to do so may result in project removal. Also, Lea and I have been looking at the WIPs submitted to us previously, and we have some potential cuts in mind. We're looking at making sure every song on this project is of high quality (preferably at least to OCRs standards, foregoing the 6 meg rule), and some aren't exactly hitting the mark. Removal based on quality and work ethic will take place on the second due date. Most of you are doing very well so far, however, and have nothing to worry about. Over and out.

*raises hand* Always willing to help.

Unfortunately, due to reasons I'll keep undisclosed, GrayLightning and Bladiator have decided to drop out of this project. However, analoq has stepped up to take on the track Gray and Blad were working on: Last Battle ~Decision~ from Tales of Symphonia. Welcome to the project, analoq!
