I don't think anyone would be all that surprised if they canned Doc, Roy, G&W, Young Link, and Pichu. One of the originals would be more surprising, and my money would be on either Jigglypuff or Ness (in favor of a Mother 3 character). POSSIBLY Luigi.

And then there's this "prophecy" that's been going around on GameFAQs since Monday morning. The poster refused to give sources. He did predict the updates, but nothing is all that incredible about foretelling two character profile updates. I call BS, but the ideas are plausible.

The pokémon level has been in screenshots for months. At least Toad isn't a full character.

This idea isn't especially original, nor does the drawing in the original post look especially realistic. There are many examples of "realistically" drawn pokémon on the Internet, such as this one, which was found with a simple Google search: http://annaj.deviantart.com/ As for the soundclips, I'm not sure how you would execute this based on the sounds from the games, many of which are just a series of annoying electronic sounds. You'd pretty much be making them up from scratch or simply taking sound clips of animals and putting them adjacent to pokémon similar in appearance. If you were to create your own noises, how would you go about making proper noises? While a bunch of nerds recording themselves trying to sound like dragons and rodents would have a certain humor value, that doesn't sound like what you're aiming for. Good luck, but I personally don't see the appeal.

You can select him in tournament mode. He comes into battle pre-transformed though.

I'd be interested to see how they incorporated it, but not surprised about the nature of the item itself. I could see a stylus item before a DS though. Not to mention that the bongos do appear in the Donkey Konga games (and maybe some of the others that utilize the bongo controller).

If referencing other games is "product placement," how are any of the Smash Bros. games anything but?

This seems like it could be the most significant new mechanic they've announced. Or maybe not. We'll have to wait and see how much of an effect it actually has on gameplay.

I thought Pokefloats was generally banned due to fall-through glitches (specifically on Seel). :c i play ice climbers Anyway, Infinite Glacier was terrible, as was Flat Zone. I wasn't a huge fan of Rainbow Cruise either.

Regarding the clouds, I am not sure that there is anything there, but if there is, I am much more ready to believe that it only depicts Bowser breathing fire, with the clouds on the left not being anything.
