I have it from a reliable source that Warhammer is for losers who will never get laid. Starcraft, on the other hand, is for winners who do nothing but get laid. While not playing Starcraft, that is. As for Warcraft being based upon Warhammer, I can think of a far more popular literary source with elves, dwarves, and orcs that Warhammer and Warcraft both likely derived their setting from.

Why did future-Hiro try to get the younger him to kill Sylar rather than, say, going back and doing it himself? Also, when Ando died, why did Hiro not just go back and move him out of the way? Also, couldn't Peter just freeze time in his fight with Sylar and kill him easily?

That's not really the same thing, zirc, but I do think that it would be far more trouble than it would be worth to institute some sort of OCPandora, especially given that most people look for music on this site based on a particular artist or game, and you can already browse the site looking for these things.

I am Eulogic. Anyway, it is no secret that they had been planning to delete UnMod for a long time now, so I don't see why it's such a big deal that it was deleted swiftly. Sure, some warning might have been nice, but it's not AHHHH RIOT IN THE STREETS. Also, last time I checked, pixie does not have admin access. She already admitted that she does not know the innermost workings of UnMod, and she was merely guessing as to what caused the events that led to the deletion of UnMod. But hey, you're going to flame her no matter what she says, even if it is a joke about Syl that any one of you might have made. The person who did delete UnMod, djpretzel, has already said his part in this thread, and it was generally well-received. This thread hasn't really had a purpose since then, and we can only hope that it will soon wither and die. Honestly, I would prefer the OCR staff to act on the level of an UnMod regular rather than above it, if it's just the same to you.

I would like to underscore this point. There are intelligent (former) UnModders and OCR staff members, yet it often feels like there is a huge wall separating them. Despite a lot of the recent events that, on the surface, appears to have widened the chasm, I also feel like, especially on IRC, the lines of communication have been opening up. Even on the boards, I feel like both sides realize that they have necessarily acted with their best judgement the past few days, as evident in many posts in this very thread, and I think both sides, whether they were involved in the recent happenings or not, wish to make amends for any sore spots between the two groups. In summary, I think a cohesive OCR community is best for the site and for its members.

Not really. I stayed out of UnMod for a few months because I figured UnModders were nothing but losers who looked at porn all day. Little did I realize that this was actually only a small and relatively useless section of the population. Go to a hentai forum or 4chan.

I, quite frankly, disagree with Coop. The image (a.k.a. porn) threads served little point other than to drive away potential posters who saw UnMod as nothing but a sleazehole. Many members of the subcommunities within each thread often did not interact with the greater community as a whole, and the images themselves belong on porn sites and Google image searches. As long as what you call a "random" thread contains worthwhile conversation, I believe it should be allowed to exist. As for the postwhore threads, it depends from thread to thread. "Say something about the person who posted before you" did not contain worthwhile conversation. "Hi!" did. I do agree that fad threads have no place.

DotA always seems to be a gateway into WoW for one of my friends and me. We'll stop WoW, then a few months later, we'll start playing DotA, then we'll start playing WoW again.
