I'm actually already trying to avoid doing Mega Man, so there's that.
-
This is a beautiful piece for sure, but I don't know if I'll be able to do anything with it by the deadline.
-
So the server, for whatever reason, cannot handle %27 in a URL when highlighting? Neat.
-
either that, or a slow 6/8

Ooh, it's a thing again!

Something that just popped up: when searching the forums for the phrase "writer's block", I would get an internal server error when clicking on the search results. However, if I searched for writer block or writers block (grammarians beware!), I can click on any of the results and the page loads normally.
EDIT: Should point out I discovered this on Chrome for Android. Can confirm on Chrome Version 43.0.2336.0 canary (64-bit) on Windows 7 Home Premium.

aw, darn. I had even tossed together something simple, and completely forgot to submit it.

I'm assuming that this is fine, but are we allowed to bring in collaborators that are currently not on the current project artist list?
This is a future-ready "just in case" question, not an "I definitely have someone in mind right now" question.

So, let's say I am a forumgoer who can't remix to save my life, and I have an idea for a remix of a certain song that I'm hoping someone could tackle. I would use your proposed forum, correct?
To my understanding, that's the purpose of the ReMix Requests forum, as per this sticky thread.
-
Well, there is the ReMix Suggestions forum if that's what you were looking for.
-
Preemptive disclaimer: I'm not a very organized producer
What is this "organized" that you speak of?
-
Ohhh yeahhhh. I can't wait for this one!

Pink Floyd - Hey You (as required for a Lyric Analysis paper)

I'm too lazy to see if I asked this before in this thread:tomatoface:, but is there a standing list of people who are willing to collaborate/act as resources (such as vocalist, guitarist, master kazooist, etc.)? If so, could that be added to the first post for ease of access? Thanks.

I really think sign-ups should happen successfully first, and then the round should start after that.
Agreed. RWS isn't exactly styled the same as other compos. Because there's something akin to a team element, you need to make sure all the teams are together before this can really take off. PRC and MnP, in contrast, are individual-based (but could potentially have collaborative entries) and can therefore run on a nonstop schedule and have people jump aboard at any time during the entry submission window.

see: RWS s1 e5, Calm of Sweden 'feat' Flexstyle. But if you just tack the name of a posted remixer on top of a mix you completed all by yourself, this pretty much defeats the whole purpose of this compo, doesn't it?Well, yeah, for the most part it does. My only completed entry for a RWS compo wasn't even completed with the help of my star (Flexstyle), as I couldn't get a hold of him during the round at all. While I still learned quite a bit, it wasn't from my mentor/star.
part of the problem, I think, lies in the fact that there isn't a distinct sign-up period, unlike past RWS seasons.Still don't understand how/why this begins before the sign-up process is even completed. Unlike PRC, this one pretty much relies on people pairing-up.
Plus, being late to the party incidentally puts you at a distinct disadvantage, time-wise. Then again, maybe I completely misunderstood the rules.
Also, did anyone pair up with gario?

If you could convince Anosou to sign up...
I mean, it's not like he's an employee of Propellerhead or anything
-
Google returned this. Don't know how helpful that is for you MindWanderer.
-
I'd jump in here for this round, but it looks like there's a deficit in the stars department.
That, and Cyril's taken already, so there's that.

Killer studio chops? I'm afraid I don't get it
lol. had to highlight to see your white text
well, to be fair, at this point the joke is so old it's not really worth bringing up. I suppose that's my fault anyway. *shrug*

*I also just found out that my very first OCR Remix that I posted 10 months ago JUST got reviewed. It was a "No" but I'm kind of glad it didn't pass since it was 10 months ago. I feel I can make a way better version then what I submitted on that day just due to fact That I have learned so much stuff presently then during that time period because of you guys here on this website.
but- but- Killer Studio Chops!
Ok, seriously. How old is the KSC joke again?
-
I honesty didn't expect this to happen the first time I return to compos after a personal haitus, but I found myself fighting against composer's/writer's block. On top of this, my school schedule has left me with absolutely no time. After talking with timaeus, I feel that the only real action is to withdraw from this round. I apologize.

I use egg and whey

Hmm... Time to gut my brother's PS3 I see...
Really though, I wonder if you can buy and use CELL processors for personal use? Could come in handy in a theoretical studio (e.g. my bedroom) with multiple devices powered by the things.
