  1. i have symphonic orcha and good guitar samples, i can help if you want
  2. indeed its technically not sidechaining, but effect wise yes, and it easyer to controll the effect, but its still winds down to preference. i find using the compressor time consuming but thats just me, but other then that i use ableton's compressor for sidechaining, i find it more easy when routing and less confusing then fl's in my opinion tho. If you want to get into electro might i recommend the Roland jp 8080 (RACK) http://cgi.ebay.com/Roland-JP-8080-Rack-Mount-Synthesizer-Analog-Modeling_W0QQitemZ230511043973QQcategoryZ38071QQcmdZViewItem , its a good synth and nice tone, usless vocoder tho. and Sytrus in fl is a beastly synth you will love it when you figer out its confusing as ***** look lolol
  3. kj sawka does there drums http://www.loopmasters.com/product/details/208/Live_Drum_And_Bass_Drums_-_K_J_Sawka http://www.loopmasters.com/product/details/421/Drum_N_Bass_Rough_Connections_Vol3 then you looking at a bpm of 175
  4. Ableton Live TRY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......................... i also heard FL studio has a surround sound template
  5. i need advice/tutorial on string replacement, brige, tune, pickup etc.... im a complete novice at this, and im not gunna lie im lovin this guitar (a gift ) or am i suppost to go to guitar center and replace them? im learning to play my self and im not doing bad at all (learned acousic from a teacher).
  6. IMO I guess the track is love and hate looking at the reviews, some loved the synths, some not so much, some like some parts, some not found, well bepends on taste in music, and very mixed reviews. but agreed intrument vol was week at some points, paning like i said depends on audience taste. it got good/nice reviews on a ''house'' based website, moderated reviews here etc........ again just taste in diffirent audience. as my note as the composer, i tried to make house 13 bpm's slower, so obvcouse it would sound ''very slow'' in the progression aspect in progression house/electro or whatever the heck it was, thats one of the reasons i cut this short it cause it would be boring , if this was a trance theme it would sound good whic i note you guys like here on oc remix judging on remixes and post, even in this thread. the main problem i had is the synths i used were to house heavy, as in a bit to strong for a slower song like this making it sound busy, i will have to rebuild the entire song to make it work and since i have ableton working again i can do just that with better mixing(CANT STAND FL MIXING > ), but it will be straight progression house and some of you guys here on oc prob would not like it cause it will sound repetitive or i repeated an entire section (example deadmau5, wolf gang gartner) which is usually how some house songs are. i will make another ice cap remix, but in normal house speed, and electro with a glitchy aspect. so guys this(these) versions of ice cap crater is now closed, until i make the fresh one later finishing by next week or soon
  7. EDIT 2 (FOR TRANSITIONS)DELETED FIRST ONE! http://soundcloud.com/aires/ice-cap-crater-v2
  8. no, but ableton rep said that i have an outdated version, so i guess i should update.
  9. yes i installed it 3 days ago after i notice this crash.
  10. when i open it and i go through menus, plugins samples, file browser, etc......... it opens a internet explorer window then closes that and ableton, and i get this blue screen........... can anyone help me
  11. i have, its a good techneic, but i would rather use the peak controller, it simplifys work flow for me. Ableton is good for DJing but its really concentrated in producing, especially ableton suite version... which is only ableton live with vsts i think.
  12. no, there straight synths, wobble basses with loops, the 1 saw lead I but under gross beat for gating and modulation, and fruity filter then port them in Wav then put it in ableton with a auto filter, ok i guess i need to post pics of the 2 daws. Edit 1 page of 2 or 3 in ableton. and fl for the final 2 minutes of the song with just plugin synths and hardware synths and drums loops. (NOT REWIRED) the tindeck one is the master version with less bass(EQed), i will also upload the bass master vesion on my sound cloud soon,
  13. thankyou for the feed back! yah was indeed aiming at awkward transitions for an un-normal prog house vibe but i did not execute it so good due to pc restrains and im with out a midi interface for a while so my moog is out the picture, but i will fix that transition at 2:54 and the kick vol, I dont know why the keys came in so late or why the plucks stoped, they sounded good on my daw. hmm next house song i make will be more buildy and more dance oriented, but im lovin this song tho lololol, maynot be traditional house but its sounds great.
  14. i ment like more back ground, for the fist song to give it that spice imo, but my opinion may be ***8 lolol j/k but great song, grad school? you would eventually make bits of time to experiment, trust me and make sure you master and Eq you intruments there too soft
  15. This is an the oc version what i would call the original, i'v been thinking of making it 8-10 min long to, but i made the song as you said in to a sorta fusion of prog house and electro and to be honest, the beat was not buildy at all and the melodys would expire due to a 2min and get tired long intro and pc limitations, and the fact i did not take this to seriouse but to try and make synth sounds lol. or was prob because i wanted the remix to come out fast that I made bars short, not to mention ableton and fl can be a huge *** in cpu stuff, but hay I tried, but next song i make will deff not be built like this.
  16. redo the drums and vocals, guitars are not loud and clear enough, just work on thos. sick track.
  17. the melodys did come clear, mix is decent, an good song but just not strong or punchy , work on this some more
  18. EDIT 2 (FOR TRANSITIONS)DELETED FIRST ONE! http://soundcloud.com/aires/ice-cap-crater-v2 LolOlolololOlolOl (Warning MILDLY PROGRESSIVLY HOUSE'Y) some loud parts, still gunna adjust some vol IF need. and NO this is not a revised version of Friged Ice Cap, this is straight house with straight up synths and drums. made this in ableton and fl studio
  19. EQing is basicly messing with the volume of a sound it self or track in its ranges LOW / MID / HIGH Equalizers are usually measured in Hz (Hurtz) more alot of Equalizers(EQ) contain mutiple bands for each range. some with 2 lows bands 4 mid bands and 2 high bands for more accurate sounds heck some EQ's have 3 bands, some have 30 bands (usually rack EQs) but really most people only need 3 or 7 band EQ's. So in to you DAW(which is fl studio) and make a simple saw wave (looks like a zig zag) on a synth like the 3xosc(turn down vol on ocs 2 and 3 for a single saw) then play it in any key at any octave. mess with the(a) EQ like Fruity Parametric; see how it effects the sound from its Bass(Low range(s)) its mid Treble(Mid range(s)) and to its high treble(High range(s)). you can use EQind to modulate synth sounds too yor track needs EQing for the first one on the srings, will listen to others later if i can.
  20. i havent heard your other songs but im liking this song house indeed is well done, but the on the pad you used as a bass fell more lfo'ed then sidechained. great stuff.
