  1. Persona! I've noticed a lot of music in Persona 4 has the very same guitar sound too.
  2. My God, you're a machine. Responded in 15 mins! Thanks yet again for the great advice, I've taken it all into consideration.
  3. And a few weeks later, I'm back seeking the almighty knowledge of this forum once more. I'm thinking of buying this: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-025-OP I could just buy a better sound card to go with this, right? Is everything else about it cool? If I can avoid the hassle of building a PC when I don't know anything about it, I will.
  4. This looks so epic! It's a shame I'll never be able to see it, being on the wrong side of the ocean and all.
  5. Yeah, I think you've hit the nail on the head there. Unfortunatly my TV is one of them. >__<
  6. I'm Littlesully on it. I'm gonna start a game now if anyone is interested.
  7. Why do you care? Yahtzee basically hates everything. Try not to take his opinion too seriously.
  8. As in Sonic Team have "no clue" how to make a decent Sonic game? I've had three people recommend the novels to me now, and after reading a couple of previews pages online, I feel I've got to check this series out. *goes to buy now*
  9. http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/07/ps3-is-region-free-but-theres-a-hi-def-catch/ EDIT: Sorry, should have mentioned I meant PAL region too.
  10. I've excreted a few man-tears at a couple of games. Both Mother 2 and 3 have incredibly emotional endings and they know it. They have mastered the art of tugging on the player's heartstrings. End of Okami, beautiful game and beautiful ending. It's a real shame that the wii version doesn't have the credits as I find it's a good time to reflect on your "journey" through the game. Lame, I know. And of course there is Leisure Suit Larry when he finally gets the boobies. You'll want tissues on standby for that one. Uh... For your eyes I mean.... ABORT JOKE.
  11. No, Namco are not getting my money this time. They took WAAAAAAY too long to just announce that they had no plans to bring it to the US and then after a ridiculously long time now they saying they are? And here in Europe we've been shafted when it comes to Tales games over and over again. I'm just not bothering any more. For HDTV users, yes. Some of us are too poor to make that jump yet. SDTV users are out of luck.
  12. It's Dragonball Evolution all over again. That crapped all over an anime classic and this is crapping all over a modern classic. I wish Hollywood would keep their grubby paws away from these things. >__< EDIT: WOW, that fit so very, very well. Even Sokka's "But the effects were decent!".
  13. You startin' summat, eh? *raises fists* I haven't played Star Ocean all that much so judging by what you said, I'll let it slide. And yeah, Persona isn't for everyone. It's different f'sure.
  14. when I was 3 years old. I knew I'd be a tr00 gamer ever since.I highly recommend checking it out on emulator if you have a buddy to play it with, even without the nostalgia factor it's still a great co-op game.
  15. To be honest, I'm just really tired of all these overdramatic JRPGs that often fill every cliche in the book. Star Ocean 4, Last Remnant, White Knight Chronicles and Infinite Undiscovery to name just a few. I feel they all have lame voice actors and generic plots and although it's hard to tell as it's in Japanese, I have a strong feeling The Last Story will fit right in with those examples, even if the gameplay looks pretty cool it's the story that makes or breaks a JRPG, which is a real shame. The last truly good JRPG I played was Persona 4. Whilst graphically inferior to the examples I mentioned, it has so much more personality, originality and plays superbly to boot.
  16. Definitely close to the standards of the old episodes I'd say. I think the first episode got a little dumb by the end with the twists trying to out-twist the previous twist but it ended before it got too bad. Twi t.
  17. Yeah, I'm gonna upgrade the graphics card later down the line, and I'm only a "semi-serious" piano player so I'll think I'll take your advice there and get the smaller version. Thanks very much again, I dunno what I would have done without this forum.
  18. Okay, after a lot of research I think I've made my decision. Pretty much every bit of hardware is what was recommended here but I thought I should just post it all up to make sure I'm not making any mistakes: Processor: Intel Core i7-860 Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 Memory: G-Skill 4GB DDR3-1600 HDD: WD Caviar Black 1TB PSU: Corsair CMPSU-750TX Sound Card: M-Audio Audiophile 192 Graphics Card: EVGA e-GeForce 8600 GT 256MB Case: Antec 300 DVD Drive: Summat like this. For now, I'll be producing music with just software (Going to buy an M-Audio Axion 61 for that end.) but I will be recording sooner or later. Probably never more than one or two instruments at a time.
  19. WOW. Thank you so much x 2. Very helpful stuff. I'm going to be looking for some good deals on this stuff and see what sort of price I'm looking at. Thanks for bringing gaming into the equation too because that is something I should have said I wanted.
  20. Hey, I'm looking to buy parts for a PC and get it built so I can get serious about composition and production (Had the same crappy 8 year old Dell for too long now), so instead of spending hours researching all the different parts I thought I'd come here and get some pro advice on what motherboard, processor, graphics and sound cards etc. would be good for my price range. I see there's already some decent threads on monitor recommendations so no need to go into that but if there's any particular hardware outside the essential stuff that you'd consider important then please let me know. My price range for everything is about £500-£700 which is about $750-$1,000 so it's some fairly hefty-ish cash I'm laying down here, hence why I need some good advice so I don't do something stupid. Thanks in advance!
  21. The "ethnic" instrumentation in the desert theme is both very predictable yet still real awesome. Sometimes the obvious choices are the best ones. I can't think of anything in particular to improve it. I'm quite curious about this game now, where can I find out more about it?
  22. Epic! Sounds like final boss music, even though Wolf has never been a final boss in any Star Fox game to my knowledge. Still, it definitely would fit as a theme for Wolf so nicely done. ;P
  23. I think you're going to need to sell it a bit more if you want anyone to listen to the whole thing, or even just give a quick overview.
  24. A damn good effort for sure. A lot of the Sonic 2 songs really vary so I don't agree with completely saying "This would not fit in with the other tracks". Would be cool if someone could draw up some concept art of what they think the zone might look like.
  25. Hmm, I thought it would be a lot funnier than it is to be honest. I'd say just leave it, the world could definitely live without more Katy Perry to be honest. :/
