That may be facetious, but I'm actually not very familiar with that series. I'll say that if the main point of the game is to drive fast, then it qualifies. If being fast isn't necessarily important, as in, say, Euro Truck Simulator (by my understanding), then no.
i wasnt trying to be a smart ass or anything. I just enjoy the music from the driver games. its an open world driving game, but all the missions require you to drive as fast and suave as possible. so id say that speed is part of the game.

Wow, nice. But do you guys think it would be better for it to be a remix competition or completely original tracks? Or if possible, both, alternating each week? I'm not super familiar with how compos are typically done.
original for sure. figuring out original themes every week would be tricky though. you can only make so many victory themes. sound design wise though, you could just tell a story, and have the participants come up with a sound effect, or maybe a few sound effects to go with the story?

i would actually be very interested in this. its an oft overlooked element of music making. if many of us aim to be vgm composers someday, this would be of just as much benefit as any other music compo. sound design especially!

Meeting so many people who participated in FFCC was awesome! I even met NovaReaper but I think I only saw him once. That was awesome. And Esperado! And of course the people I already knew.

Same here, though I've only been on OCR for about 2 years. I'm going to make every effort to get to MAGFest next year.
Do it cash! the people are extremely loving! Im sure everyone says this, but my highlight above all, was how open and freindly everyone was. When i say everyone, i mean, EVERYONE. this community is just amazing.
Ill post up a shot of the OCR keyboard in a bit! And no brandon, you didnt ruin it! it wouldnt be a community keyboard without ALL the signatures! I think i might have missed a few people though, sadly. I need to figure out how to clearcoat the keys so the sharpie doesnt wear off as i play it.
So much fun was had this mag! Also big thanks to Pete and the indie crew for letting me stay in your room! You guys were very welcoming and fun to be around( even if i was a bit shy). I look forward to next year, im sure it will be even better.
also, that melodeon! i wanna buy one of those soooo bad!

i just realized theres no other photos of me from mag, haha. next year! i must have been talking with my hands or something in that photo.
I was just gonna upload my video of that 4th room jam, i didnt know there were so many others! I might upload the video i took of Darkesword's scat performance at the "how to remix" panel. I really enjoyed that!

SO by some miracle, i had time to mix while at magfest! itll likely be a half effort though, but it was fun, so i dont mind
edit: scratch that, i still dont have my track arranged into a normal song at all. so unless nobody else enters and theres an extension, ill dont think ill enter

Greetings from magfest
hopefully someone still finds time to give some feedback. I made this for the 10th anniversary round of the PRC. This is first remix I've made that I really really WANT to see completed. someone said it gets a bit repetative near the end, so maybe ill have to fix that. It also might not be long enough, i cant decide.

Ok so I have a dilemma. I didn't realize that New Year's Day is considered a holiday, and apparently the Marc train doesn't run today which is the only way I know to get to dc. Is there anyone who could grab me from BWI ? I'm gonna look at buses again but if there is someone please let me know! My number is in the google doc

I never installed MeGroup, I just randomly got 30 texts while I was trying to sleep, each one making a loud bell sound right after the other.. luckily it auto-removed me from the group eventually. Y'all are CRAZY and this kind of thing is why peeps should be hesitant to hand out their numbers.
from groupchat? i added my number to the list and my phone hasnt been blown up yet. i did install groupme, but i havent set it up yet. also, i dunno if this is in the OP ( i dont have time to check atm) but theres a guidebook for mag that you can download for android or ios, it has the schedule, some maps, and i think you can bookmark panels and stuff! just download the app "guidebook" and search for magfest.

Sign me up as a novice! but since i beat a posted remixer in direct competition(marginally) ill say that i can sign up as a star if there arent enough stars!

here is the rating page. It says -11 to -17 DB depending on if you use those little red filters or not.
do they sound strange at all? either way i might pick up a pair of these anyways. It would solve my aversion to live venues
