  1. Ah, I loved the updates this one recieved, and I also loved the original. Which one I like better is actually hard to say, I think the less maximalist original was actually REALLY enjoyable. My (and my best friend's) personal favorite. But I think this improvement is still quite the improvement. Great job on both accounts.
  2. Alright, finally time for my reviews! As I begin this, I have my vote narrowed down to 5, and I'm hoping that by typing this out I'll come to the 3 I'll vote for! So, to begin Sting Operation - I knew from the moment I listened to this one, which was first, that it would be a contender. Catchy start, loved 0:17-0:35, just in general boded very well. I loved 'Smooth as Honey' in Back in Blue as a really creative mix, but I expressed to a close friend that I was really longing for something that fleshed out the theme itself, instrumentally, more. (Just as a side note, this doesn't mean lyric-less, it just means that I wanted some general cover on the main theme with instruments, lyrics can go over that: see The Megas) Anyways, long story short, this fulfilled that longing, and we've still got one or more songs from Hylian Lemon left Uh, anyways, back to actual reviewing of the song.. There was some nice dramatic wily 5 in there with the trumpet. Loved it, especially with the faint Hornet man in the background, perfect mixing. 1:36 - 1:54 was just AMAZING. Just what I was waiting for. AND THE HORNS FOR HORNET MAN!!! SO GOOD. And to top it off, the breakdown at the end was well done, that part might be the cincher in how I vote. I think it's a testimate to everyone's skill that this is still just a contender for my vote, however. Air Man in G String - I thought this started with a good buildup leading to air man entering at just the right moment. 1:13 - 1:24 had some great liberties and combination of themes. I would have liked to see more moments like this overall (There were two or three more, but overall could have been more prevalent). Overall there were a lot of slow paced areas, which proved interesting. However, sometime during 1:40 - 2:20 I lose track of the sources, and so I think some of the technical skill demonstrated there is lost on me. I felt the best touch on the Wily 5 source was from 3:19 on, which made it feel not as prevalent as the Air Man. The ending, however, was another one of those great moments of mixing of both sources. This is indeed a good song, but I felt like it wasn't quite as strong of an entry as the 5 songs I ended up viewing as the top in this round. Unto Dust - I loved the start. Such a great testemant to the source. Moreover, there was some great overlap with Wily 5, making that empty and lonely start feel fuller while maintaining the tone of the piece (empy and lonely ). 0:43 - 0:56 was really just what I've been waiting to hear from a Dust Man remix ('Let there be light' goes in a fairly liberal direction. Loved it, but I'm also glad to hear some very recognizeable source in this one!!!) 0:56-1:07 especially! The slow section from 1:40-2:08 was really well done and elaborated on the tone. This section succeeds well because it has a really strong followup. The twangs from 2:10 - 2:22 really helped in this regard! Overall, I think the ending needs a little work and overall, there could be a little more polish on the overall piece. But these were certainly not things to deduct from the overall enjoyability, which was high. Running With Scissors - Powerful start! The drums were well done. 1:05 - 1:30 had some great layering. The transition right ast 1:28 really moved the piece in an interesting direction, despite being fairly abrupt. There was good mixing of the themes, overall, especially at 2:10 - 2:33, which I felt was a sort of culmination of that new direction. Then we get some epic cut man to truely conclude the piece proper. If this piece were to be improved, I would say the focus should be on smoother transitions between tempos. Transitions between songs were spot on, but there was some pretty heavy alternating between slow and fast. Power Outage - I thought the background music was fairly good, which is important, because in a lot of lyrical pieces this falls by the wayside. It was lacking sometimes, but not below the level of 'good'. However, it's not very cohesive, which I think affected the piece. The lyrics were a little unpolished in areas, and in others they were overly dramatic. On the more positive side, I thought the reverb effect was creative, and it led to an especially cool lyrical piece at 1:59-2:04 ("Onward to the final stage, Get equipped with righteous rage.") Though with that kind of robotic effect, it's important to keep the lyrics clear! Overall, I think cohesiveness was the main area of struggle in this piece. It starts off well, but lacks focus in its direction. Akamojo Belmont is a excellent example to learn from to improve, and I definitely enjoyed this piece. Tripping Through - Great starting soundscape at 0:12 - 0:27. Felt like a very 'tornado man' feel, but led to Wily 5. I always like that kind of thing. A very faint tornado man provided a great background for the first half, to good effect. 1:50 - 2:01 was very quiet, and didn't feel like a very creative transition, though fitting. Since it was the only transition, I think that effects the overall feel of creativity on this piece. However, 2:36-3:29 is a good touch on tornado man. I think if this had been followed up with an integration of the two themes, it would have made the piece really shine. As it is, I think it falls below 'outstanding', which is where some of the other pieces were this round. It's good, but it's missing some creative depth. Topsy Turvy - I liked the start, it gave an interesting feel to top man. There was some great creativity with Wily 5 going on, as well as some good mixing. Top man source lent an especially lively feel to Wily 5, as seen most specifically in their mixing from 1:33 - 1:56. Quite a good piece. This was probably intentional, but there was some static in places (Such as at the beginning), and I thought that could be improved on a little. Not necessarily removed, but a little less prevalent, and I think it'd be good. As has been mentioned, the ending is a touch lacking. Riding the Avalanche - Woah, this was good stuff!!! Great soundscape. 0:29 - 0:42 was some great mixing. 0:42 - 0:50 was creative and a great transition. 1:00 - 1:09 was probably the most creative chill man start, and used in a really interesting way. There was great instrumentation. I really wanted to vote for this one. It had great energy, great mixing, and overall felt really good. However, I think it was ousted on the production front. Not in the sense that it was bad in this piece at all! However, I think this piece could be improved by having some more happening in the background for during the transitions. I realize that this is hard, really hard. Given the week you had, I am really impressed, and that is probably why it was fairly short (another thing that could be improved upon). I think that's probably why orchistrations aren't used a whole lot in these competitions. It takes longer to make a comparable product. Although, I'd argue, if you get to that level of production, the orchistration gets at a higher level of creativity, technical skill, ability to have awesome transitions, and overall enjoyability. In that sense, if you can pull of a high-production orchistrated piece, then it's REALLY good. High risk, given the week constraint, high return. 'Riding the Avalance' comes so close to this. I'd absolutely love to see a longer piece. The length, I think, would mostly come from expansion of what is already there and polishing the transitions and cohesiveness, instead of adding in a whole bunch of new things. That, with some more instruments in there for more overlap, would lead to a smoother piece, which, in turn, would let the epic creativity already there shine. This one's got a ton of potential, but for where it is right now, there were better pieces this round. Electric Sleep - Put me with the crowd who misread this as "electric sheep" . I also misread Hylian lemon's as "String Operation" and was all like "strings huh? Not sure how that relates to hornets... oh wait :P" Luckily, I figured it out on both of those after the first listen. That aside, I liked the soundscape to this one. There was an interesting shift at 0:46 - 0:48 that I liked. It was pretty interesting in the middle, and I especially like 2:29 - 3:02. The piece is aptly named, giving the overall feel. However, I really struggled hearing the elec man in this. I know it's there, but like a dream I just can't remember I can never quite catch it. I think, overall, this is at about an equal level to Willrocks. It's pretty great, but just under the 5 I'm deciding on. Solidity Parts of this reminded me of Ice Cream Nachos and just overall Chill man. I wonder why . No, but seriously, those are good styles in here. Theres a great beat starting at 2:32, and that I think was some of the best done with the Wily 5 source. Good cover of both themes, there are sections I can recognize easily, which, I just want to say, really adds to the enjoyability of a piece to me. I love the source tunes of Mega man, so it's never a bad idea to at least touch on something fairly easily relatable to the source. This is done quite well here, without ever being even close to bland. I loved the direction you then went with Crystal man from 2:46 - 3:25, it combines with that beat you developed from the Wily 5 source for all sorts of epic. Very smooth transitions, again aided by that cohesive beat you've got. 3:55 - 4:45 developes a really cool, cumulative, and source-integrated ending. Definitely something I'm going to vote for, just have to decide on the placing. Hngh, alright, so voting. The 5 it comes down to for me are Sting Operation, Solidity, Unto Dust, Running With Scissors, and Topsy Turvy. I think, given the level of the other 4, I would put Topsy Turvy at the 5th place for that slight production improvement I think could be made and the ending (Still a really good song ) Then, oh man, I have to figure out 2 things. Whether I want to put Sting Operation or Solidity in first, the other being in second. And, whether I put Unto Dust or Running With Scissors in that 3rd place... Alright, so that decision between 1st and 2nd is proving a little rough for me. I think the instrumentation did it for me in Sting Operation, though. I may change my mind later today, but I think mixing of themes and instrumentation makes Hylian Lemon pull into 1st just by a hair. That puts Solidity in 2nd, because those two were the two I liked the most. Then it comes down to 3rd. prophetik and Nekofrog both have solid entries, that I think could both be improved slightly. However, I think the areas Running With Scissors struggled in; internal tempo transitions, was something Unto Dust did really well. Where Unto Dust could be improved most doesn't really harm the piece. The ending is just not very substantial, but it's not sudden or bad either. I think between the two, Unto Dust comes out ahead for me.
  3. Also, there was a discussion earlier about Air Man in G String that I am too lazy to multiquote. I'd agree with what everyone came to about it not being at all the same as Treasure Hunter (I liked Treasure Hunter SO HARD). Anyways, the point is that Willrock made the mention of Treasure Hunter being a fan favorite and the epitome of "willrockiness' I just wanted to point out that that's ALMOST true for me. Treasure Hunter is my second favorite Willrock remix. The pinnacle, in my mind, of Willrock's remixes to date is Magnetic Fireworks. Just wanted to throw that out there. Still working on homework figuring out my votes.
  4. I haven't voted yet because I had an organic test, japanese test, and history of science essay to work on this weekend, as well as travel on tuesday. Needless to say, I was busy. Just finished listening for the first time. It's not gonna be as hard of a vote this time as last week's was, but it's still going to take a little while. I'll probably vote on friday. Maybe later today.
  5. Finally get the time to listen to Round 3. I'm excited!
  6. I really don't have time for a long review. Knowing me though, I'll probably end up making one. I found voting really difficult this round. I had two of my picks fairly early on, but settling on the last one (which ended up being my second place vote) was challenging... I listened to them in the order of groups on the point spreadsheet. I'm not sure how exactly the album order is organized, but I like my equally arbitrary order. Not that it matters For ease of reference, this is what I ended up voting: 1. No Ticket! 2. Far From Home 3. Root of All Things Root of All Things - Right off the bat I knew this one was going to be a great contender. Two great themes in expert remixer hands. The start was pretty darn awesome, just enough to keep me really interesting. Great transition work, like at 0:45 - 0:55. I loved the drums at 1:34 - 1:58 which lead up to a flute Wily 2-1. That part really fleshed out the piece, and showed a mastery that eventually was the deciding factor for me. I had no problem with the slightly more subtle plant man because its definitely there. The breakdown from 3:08 - 3:32 was really good to. In terms of improvement, I don't have much. Rexy nailed the amount of combination I love, with still beautifully DISTINCT themes. Stylistically, I don't think there was much to be improved on. I knew that, whether or not this earned my vote, it's still a lovely piece! Far From Home - AWWWWW YEAH. Dem some lyrics. They are very melodious and are just vague enough to tell an interesting, unique story almost entirely up to the listener. I like to imagine Cold man thinking to himself as he freezes his way through Wily's forces "I'm far from where I come from. But this is is what I was built for" Then as he makes a frozen wasteland of one of the castle's rooms he mutters "I'm quite at home in the cold..." I love it! The soundscape was wonderful, and the lyrics really add a melody of their own. Initially, this was my first place vote, and I still have mostly the same view of it as then. To all those who immediately went against this just because it 'has lyrics', you all are being silly. Go listen to some Megas. No but seriously, this was really well done. I think the background melody could have been fleshed out a little more, and I think Willrocks review of this one was particularly accurate. Definitely, though, this was one of my favorites of this round. Attracted to Power - This one is good, no doubt at all. Electronic Magent man? I dig it! The initial transition to Wily was good. 2:35 - 2:48 deserves special mention because it was some outstanding overlap. The ending was particularly good. It's hard to not end up voting for this one, but it just didn't quite stand out to me as much as the three I voted for. The mixing was very creative and well done, but overall I felt the piece was lacking a *little* continuity. Which is perfectly fine, and it's still an epicly great piece. Wily's Inferno - Loved the orchestration! It gives an amazing image of Napalm man in front of a host of Wily's army. To advance, Napalm man is forced to blow them to pieces and set them in a fiery inferno of justice. This carries through. I'd say it looses some steam sometime in the middle, but I can't quite pinpoint exactly what it is. It's probably right after the willrock breakdown, but it's definitely not bad, adds to the overall feel. I dig orchestrations, too, so I really enjoied this piece. It feel just behind being a contender for my votes, because that slot was already at 6 that I had to narrow it down from. This one was great, though. Glitch in the System - Hrmm. Very catchy start, though I think it lasted a little too long on its own. Once we got some crash man in there, and that catchy beat came back, it really worked well. The crash man part could have been more polished but it got the job done. Overall, this piece was just too dichotomized; it was crash man and then it was wily 2. They've got to be REALLY AWESOMELY DONE if you want to pull that off while loosing out on all the awesome things you can do while combining them. Like, for example, that ending. 2:10 - 2:26. That was some good meshing, but it needed to be explored more, though that of course has been said in other reviews too. Good mix, though I'd really have loved it to really take that ending and run with it. Shadows of Wily - Rock shadow man. Hard to do, but amphibious does it amazingly! Ties in some amazing overlap, making an overall wonderful piece. There's some really creative stuff done with the themes, such as 0:50 - 0:55. I thought the section 1:42 - 1:51 would have been a really great place for meshing of the two themes at the same time, but it was epic nevertheless. This was one of the ones I was heartily considering. It had the edge on the last spot for a while, but I eventually decided that Root of All Things achieved a slightly better level of mixing. This was my 4th place though, and was 3rd for most of the past week Light Your Way - I was reminded of coiled copper wire at the beginning of this. Good things were happening. I was really surprised this didn't stand out to me more, because it's really good. Great soundscape. 1:12 - 1:23 was especially stylish. 1:35 - 1:45 had a great wily appearance. The ending section from 2:19 until the end felt good, but could have been a little stronger. This one is probably about even with Attracted to Power for me. No Ticket! - Woo! This one was all over the place, but was also in just the right place. The two themes are really interplayed well, and made to sound like one solid piece. It was a great combo of effects without ever going overboard. It felt really alive, especially in the Charge man portions. 2:17 - 2:48 in particular. 3:05 - 3:28 was an especially 'charge man' styled rendetion of the Wily theme. The overall combo of effects, style, meshing, and cohesiveness earned my first place vote. Smooth Heat - I don't really know if I'm ... cool ... with what some people got from this one. Just the start itself I felt was actually fairly unique, and certainly catchy. Felt like the start of Heat Man's theme proper, only it was Wily's. That earns points in my book. 0:28 - 0:41 was just was was needed to make for a really solid beginning. 1:09 - 1:15 was at first a pretty rough transition, but ended up working with the slight overlap of themes @ 1:15 - 1:21. Loved that part. 1:37 - 2:04 was also great because it overlapped the wily theme with itself, to great effect. 2:09 - 2:17 was very stylish. The image I got from this suaveness is pretty cool. While Nalpalm man is engaged in a frantic battle outside Wily's gates, blasting through robots in a tough struggle, the Heat man this remix gives image to casually lights himself ablaze and with a smirk barrels through robot after robot, melting through any obsticle in his way. Probably wearing fireproof sunglasses. Maybe lighting up a smoke at the end. Overall? The image is that Heat Man is a badass. I agree fully that this remix really plays it safe with the themes, but I felt it still did a really good job and was amazingly catchy. Not in my top 3, but I did want to mention that I really liked it. whatever.jpg- I like to imagine the name of this is a reference to how bubble man is battling through the Wily castle. Really meekly and sort of a whatever feel. Anyways. Though I can turn my volume up to fix it, this piece really is at too quiet of a level. It's also quiet in another respect, it doesn't really build up to anything particularly moving. It could have used a lot more bubble man. Those things being said right off the bat, I do like the direction this took. I would have liked to see it branch out more, but what's there is interesting. Mr. X was Wily the WHOLE TIME - Ahh, this was a good one. Felt like a Russian jig. I also like the almost cathedral-like Tomahawk Man, worked out really well. 1:26 - 1:33 was particularly awesome. Great piece, I'd reall love to hear you finish Sheep in Skull's Clothing - it felt like it was going in a similar, really cool direction that I'd like to see a finsihed copy of. I felt that this piece delivered, but it just wasn't quite at the level of the pieces I voted for. Tough competition this round! Glacial Age - Hmm, I wish I was musically talented at all so that I could give some specific constructive advice. I thought the soundscape was good, as has been mentioned. I loved the effect in the beginning, as well as the different trails of instruments. I think this piece lacked direction and a more substantial touch on the themes. Not terrible flaws, and things that can be gradually improved on. What's important to take away from this is that you had a really cool and creative idea. Good job! Blargh, I always write the longest reviews. I'm probably getting funny looks for how much I represent a mental image of what's going on and the story the remix tells. But I personally think those are important things. It's not hardly the majority of what I vote on, but it is a part. Because that's what I love about music, the setting it can build.
  7. I have not had any free time for the past few days. I'll be getting my reviews in probably tomorrow. It's taking me a really long time to come to a decision on these ones. There're some really close ones that are neck and neck for me.
  8. Best of luck, I'm definitely looking forward to hearing dust man in wily 5
  9. I do like the little bit broader range of tiers. That I think will satisty almost everyone. We still will just vote for our top 3, correct?
  10. My guess? The winning team gets to send a representative to take on Dr. Wily (Darkesword) and remix against some Wily Machine/Capsule/Castle theme of Darke's favorite. The winner would get the chance to go hand to hand against Darkesword himself. That's what I would like to see happen. Whether it does or not, who knows.
  11. Because Darke decided on that level of cutoff. It makes it a little more varied than just the top one, while still being clear cut, as opposed to a pure popular vote. Popular votes work well when its between 2 sides, because then it's easy majority wins. Having a tiered system is good for multiple participants. Which group is most 'ahead' is really fuzzy if you just look at the raw scores. For the purposes of displaying winners, it should NOT be fuzzy, but rather clear cut. That is why a tiered system works best. The more tiers, the more distributed it is, but the closer to that fuzzy, no real distinction between groups setup. That is why a tier of 3 is reasonable moderation. Now, when discussing how much that victory means in terms of ability, it's important to look at how close the votes were. But that is in the realm of post vote discussion. The victory itself, no matter how close should be rewarded the same for the purposes of fairness between rounds. This seems unfair, but it is a time tested method used in sports, politics, etc. It is more fair because it rewards each victory the same, so long as it is a victory. Close victories, landslide victories; those are for discussions after the fact and in drawing meaning from victory. For the purposes of tabulation, the clearer system of a tier works better, in my opinion.
  12. Hmm, I think the system is fine. It's clear cut, and sometimes you just need that cutoff. Even if you're a close 4th, the 3rd place is still ahead. At the close of a round, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd should be the clear cut victors, no matter how close it was, because they are the ones who made it over the cutoff. It's the same in tournaments. Even if one side wins by ONE vote, they continue on and the other is eliminated. That's an even larger dichotomy than is being caused here. No matter how many points you are behind here, you still get to add to our awesome remix collection and show off your robot master's theme! I hope everyone remembers that people are going to be listening to the good mixes, even if they don't win. For example, Under Construction didn't get above 3rd. Does that change the fact that I really enjoy it and will definitely keep it on my iPod? Nope. Main finger, even though you could have farted into a microphone for 3 min and got the same points, we would be down one great mix. Rexy, you have no idea how much I appreciate the amount of time, skill, effort, and awesomeness that went into Root of All Things. It's outstanding! But there are also a lot of outstanding mixes this round, which makes voting hard. I haven't voted yet, because I haven't decided which are my top 3, but no matter how that falls, know that I will be listening to Root of All Things, along with many others, for a long time to come! So everyone, don't let the voting discourage you! I'm looking forward to so many awesome mixes! Kick doubt out and show me your best!
  13. This would be DA BEST. Seriously, the only major remix acapella I've heard has been in person on a whim non recorded stuff or I think the Video Game Music Choir counts. Mega man acapella would be so great
  14. I'm just gonna say right off the bat, this vote's gonna be hard. Usually I've got a clear direction my vote is leaning, but this will be hard... No matter where I place my vote, I feel like I'll be ignoring the credit some deserve. I personally think this was a pretty epic round!
  15. Hey, Akumajo, could we get the lyrics for Far From Home posted? They were really good (and distinct, so luckily supplying the lyrics isn't necessary, but would be awesome if you could!)
  16. Well, I meant to get to a more full review of sorts to the ones I didn't vote for, which were all good. Since I don't have the time for that, I'll just mention a couple outstanding things. Zerothemaster - I thought you had a good dichotomy of chip and string, but I think it needed some bass to tie it together. The pacing could have been a lot faster, and of course some of the more technical parts others have mentioned. You have a good start though. Secondly, there were a lot of voice samples this time. I'm usually not big on voice samples, but they can be pretty great sometimes. Some of the metroid mixes on OCR do some especially cool stuff with mother brain and various AI voice samples, as an example of where it works well. I personally think that voice samples work best with one short appearance, unless they really add substantial information. Lyrics, if done well, can be really powerful throughout a remix, because they carry so much more information in language. However, voice samples are usually quite unsubstantial; usually a sentence repeated and taken out of context. For example "Snake Man's on my trail". Why is he doing so. How close is he? What's he going to do? How do both sides feel about this? We don't get much of a picture of this, so we're esentially left with how it sounds (whereas lyrics include meaning, language's most powerful tool) Mostly, what voice samples bring to the table is how they sound. If one happens to be especially melodious, then it can bring a cool atmosphere to a piece and maybe even be repeated throughout. Unfortunatly, I'd have to say that a distorted wily laugh is not especially sonorous, and a little grating on the ears. I think this was most prevalent in Two Minds Without a Single Thought. Double Doctors has an interesting take on it, and isn't repeated. For the most part, I don't mind that one, but it's a little long lasting for how chaotic it is. Though it sets up the tone for the rest, so in that sense, it was useful. It's hard to say where I fall for the voice sample use in Dubious Brothers. To begin with, I'm not a huge fan of chipmunkified stuff, so that's probably where most of my hesitation is coming from. It's catchy, and repeating it does give rise to an overall sense of being 'chased' throughout the piece. But I'd say it gets repeated a little much for how stark it is (being chipmunckified makes it stand out). I'm probably coming off a bit harsh. I like a good voice sample when integrated well. I don't think the voice samples in this round were bad at all, but to me, they didn't really add a whole lot for how distracting they were. I'd put them at about neutral; they don't have that perfect click of "Now that was fitting" that I look forward to when hearing a song, but I can see why they're in there, specifically Main Finger's and Briggs' use of them.
  17. I look forward to it. A more polished version would really have potential, I think.

  18. ...sorry I don't think there's much more I can say...
  19. Ah, quite a good line up. I have my first and second picks lined up from the first listen. It'll take a little longer to settle on my 3rd, but I have it down to about 3. I'll be ready for whatever the voting rules entail. I thought this was quite the good start. The first round is always a little tough because no one knows exactly what to shoot for in terms of mixing balance. Considering that, it was quite great! Got some cool mixes out of this one.
  20. Pfft, what was I thinking. I've listened to both of those. Sigh, today just isn't my day... hopefully new mixes will fix that.
  21. I'm really excited for Gemini man and splash woman against wily 10-1. Those both seem like really good combinations. And then zerothemaster has also gotten me really hyped for search man! Looking ahead to next week, Bubble man and flash man plus wily 2-1 quite honestly gives me the shivers. I mean, people mix those the most because they are some of the best. And adding them together is... certainly unique. Mindblowingly epic, too. One or both of you should submit their mix. I can just imagine djp saying "We've got a lot of flash man mixes. We've got a lot of WIly stage 2-1 mixes. But we didn't have any combining the two together until today!" Tomahawk man and wily 2-1 should be really interesting too. Tomahawk's got a style I really like, that should go well with wily 2-1. Shadow man and wily 2-1 is a pretty epic setup too. Excitement all around!
  22. Can't wait to hear this weeks mixes! Should be pretty great! And I approve of the proposed system. Seems like it'll be a good way to rank fairly and make it less dichotomized. Even if you don't WIN a match, if your consistently good and getting 2nd place you've still got a chance at the last round. I like the more gradiated system.
  23. But Knight man's theme is so EPIC. Can't wait to see what you've done with it!!!
  24. I approve of this decision algorithm!
  25. Mhm, good choice for the first Wily. Eventually, when I have time, I'm going to have to look through who all is participating this round. Should be exciting! Also, this means we'll be getting more remixes of fewer Wily themes. It's a very valid and fair and cool way to go at it. But I kinda wish we'd get to see samples from a few more than 6 (since last I heard, the 3rd round was not for sure) or even 9. Not a big concern though. Just means we probably won't see more than 1 wily theme from any one game, and even then, we won't touch one of the games. Still very excited.
