I'm still up to do this, but I've got many other things (including and not including ocremix) that I'm working on right now, so yeah.

I was thinking about this and had an idea for the direction of the album. Since Sonic CD was based around rivalry and contained two OST's that could be remixed why not assign Sonic to one (JP/US) and Metal Sonic to the other? The difference would be that the Sonic designated side would contain organic sounding remixes while the Metal Sonic side would contain more electronic/artificial sounding remixes. Increases diversity in the album, increases appeal and gives more opportunity to the remixers.
Of course the album cover should reflect this if The Boss decides to do something similar. Maybe Metal Sonic behind turntables with a speaker in his gut and Sonic bashing him over the head with a guitar.
That might be loosely interpreted as an attack on DJ's, but that would only be because it is.
(just kidding, nothing but love for DJP and those like him)
Just a thought.
Honestly, that's a really good idea.

Well you see, what makes DubStep DubStep is the fact that it is half time. Wobble bass is part of it, but what makes DubStep actual DubStep is the half time drums.
I use Logic Pro, and for a while I had no clue how to do DubStep related stuff. I recently figured out (and this may not and probably is not the way most people do it) that if you create the samples on a seperate file first and just create a whole bunch of cool sounds, then you can export those and stick in a beat and stuff and sample your sounds. I've found this to be the most useful way to make DubStep and make it sound very similar to the pro stuff, aka Skrillex and all.
Skrillex isn't even all real DubStep, even though so many think it is. xD

That honestly sounds like a good idea.

Well that was quite the random change. I mean, just because we said that doesn't mean we had to immediately change to something else. You also seem you may be planning ahead with the tracks far too early.
And honestly, Mario's been a little overdone too... especially the original tunes. :/
-
I'd do one but Anorax is sort of right. I'm not a part of any of these Zelda records so I'd be happy to join this one, but I think there may be too many right now. :/

Heavy on GarageBand instruments.
Everyone else has basically spoken for me. Most certainly for me is that the mix of the song isn't all that great. :/
But everything else sounds pretty good.

As much as I hate metal, this was a great remix. You learned those riffs perfectly, and it sounded so good on guitar.
My only problem is that I don't feel I'm getting enough from the drums. The drums are mixed fine, they just need to be turned up more and maybe compressed to pop up a little bit more clearly.
But great remix overall.

I am calling Quartz Quadrant JP far in advance just because I love that one. xD
Memories...

Okie dokie. I'm still in on this. Totally still in.
-
Has anyone sent her a message to see if she is still in on this?
-
I think it would be best to consult Rexy about it first... before leaving her out of the loop.
Just saying that it's best to include all parties who have shown interest.
What he said.

I still would love to be part of this, but I think we need to return this conversation back to the original forum.

Wow great cover. You played it well. And the reverb on the piano actually sounds rather cool. It's like a very long ambient sound which is soothing to the ears and really works.
Nice job.

Alright, cool. Can I ask what track you wanna do? Pretty much any 2-d metroid track is fair game, I'm focusing less on ambiant now.
The Super Metroid theme itself is by far my favorite and I'd love to remix that. What genre is this? What is the goal here?
-
Well if that's the case, then I guess I'll contribute.
-
I have to agree with Meteo on this. What's the point? If the soundtrack won't actually be in game, what is the point?
-
I submit when everything sounds exactly right. That simple.
My problem is there's always something wrong when I listen to it again a few days later, and I get mad. But I've heard and learned that's just how it goes. You think it sounds just right and then there's some issue that you no longer can fix.
Things. They just happen.
-
Well thank you. Yeah, I think it may your headphones when it comes to the low end stuff. It's pretty high on my speakers.
The mix vocally-- I think you may be right. I put this together in about 5 hours and I listened to the thing once or twice after "finishing" the mix and quickly posted. I had about 18 hours to finish it by the time I started. xD

So, there was this official Owl City contest for remixing "Good Time", and I thought I'd give it a go.
Unlike others who just glitched out stuff and just added in other sounds, I COMPLETELY rearranged the whole thing, keeping only the original vocals.
It's too late to change it; it's already submitted via SoundCloud, but I just wanted to know your thoughts on it.
Without further ado, here's the thing: http://soundcloud.com/gwilliamson/good-time-g-mix-remix

I thought it was a piece of crap at first. xD
Happy b-day, bro.

I'm lovin' those CHORDS!! Seriously, this is awesome.

I'd say 0:07-0:09, 0:14-0:16, and even a tad bit in 0:18-0:21.

You really know how to do your 80s stuff.![^_^](https://ocremix.org/community/uploads/emoticons/default_happy.png)
I think my biggest problem with it is that as much as the snare sounds 80s, it doesn't feel big enough. So much of the snare sounds in the 80s were huge and loud. I mean, one example that just randomly came off the top of my head is "What Have You Done For Me Lately" by Janet Jackson. That snare's much different, but you get what I mean.
Great remix overall.![:D](https://ocremix.org/community/uploads/emoticons/default_biggrin.png)
