  1. It's in a good way :-) Redg is also known as Brent Wollman on OC ReMix and he does very eclectic music.
  2. Quirky for sure, never thought I'd hear Dragon Roost Island this way. Reminds me of Redg.
  3. Started out a bit hard on the piano tone, but around the 1:04 mark is where it really starts shining when we go heavier on the left hand. The small bit of rubato at 2:32 was really nice to have. The key change at 2:58 was great, as it flowed well all the way to the end. Overall, cool to hear some solo piano. Haven't heard one of these in a long while!
  4. Oh man, this was a blast to write for sure! I think I spent the leisurely year to write this, actually. I definitely had to take my time to get the treble mixing just right amongst all the aux percussion, the "electrical" bass, and electric bass all potentially competing!

    Pirates!

Red Pearl was a heads-up pick! You'd have to know it rather than search for it, methinks.

    Retro Legends!

These are some of the most legendary retro ReMixes I've heard in OCR's lifetime! They can either be chiptune, use basic waveforms, or bring an older genre into modernity!
  7. I'm on the side of the ninjas!
  8. Some of the most immersive/atmospheric OC ReMixes that I frequently return to :-)
  9. Rock/metal that will get you started on any morning or make for a good time!
  10. Woah, changing the melody to minor was really cool. I love it.
  11. Decided to keep it short and sweet this time! But I could see it making sense to extend the ending further!
  12. Caught this on rainwave. Didn't realize OA covered this before, didn't even recognize that it was him for a bit. Good stuff!
  13. Definitely quirky! I think the highlights for me were the copious uses of funny fx like at 1:40 with the phone and the... flexitone?? This ride was a little trippy, a little bit of a throwback, and a little weird. Maybe that was the point.
  14. Definitely not what I expect from hearing that Terra and Schala got combined 🤣 Luckily the mixing is convincing of the approach and intent. The vocal clips threw me off a bit, but I think they ultimately worked out. The sound design was a touch basic (such as the 3:15 saws and the 3:40 low chord stabs), but this was still enjoyable overall, and relatively smooth in the arrangement department.
  15. Kristina's been collabing a lot lately, really cool to see. I'm not sure if she's explored Drum & Bass a ton, but this was a neat exploration into that genre if she hadn't, and well-executed at an immersive angle if she has! I like the ending from Wes as well, adds a somewhat spooky element, but still maintained the bubbly nature of Kristina's usual mixes.
  16. Rebecca's name is quickly becoming synonymous with foresty ethereal orchestral music :-) Well done!
  17. Ay 😀 This was definitely a blast to write, and for me the challenge was in being able to replicate some of the original chords. Despite zircon's crisp production, he can write some tough chords. I couldn't just hear them and mouse them in, so I felt them out on my keyboard :) (Also Larry, you're really nailing Dave's wordplay and style 👍)
  18. Engaging indeed! Definitely would like to see this guy return :)
  19. Some cool chord progressions going on here! I also like the vocals. Good amount of cheesy.
  20. This may be one of my new favorite albums on the site. Some highlight tracks on the album: Life is Peachy - loved the chill vibes on here Road Rage - love me some metal A Translator's Tale - widely spans multiple genres, with smooth transitions :) Bonhomme de Neige - smooth sound design, cool distortion! Gold Soul - spot-on performances, and clean grooves! Desert Smash - nice to see Middle-Eastern music represented, and I like the changes into half time, double time, and regular time Sportsball - clean performances; relaxing, and chill Think on Your Feet - props on the bass solo, and the triplet drums in the middle :) (don't get me wrong though, every track on the album was good!)
  21. How has no one said anything? :( This is actually such a wide arrangement that isn't trapped in a single genre, I love it.
  22. Thank you for posting this! Now I know I can tackle other iconic themes. ;-)
