Now this is weird...I can access the site just fine, but if I try to access it via IP it doesn't work at all. And if I pin it it won't reply at all...

The only reason Jack was EVER Captain of the Pearl was by agreement with Davy Jones as stated in the 2nd movie. And he wasn't even Captain of the ship for THAT LONG. The pirate lord thing stems further back than any of the movies and just because someone is a first mate on 1 ship doesn't mean he's not a captain or wasn't a captain in the past.

Only because that's how long they feel like they can milk it. A story about people who get in a plane wreck on an island shouldn't go past 1 season, but no now they're in a black whole with super powers getting food shipments. The series COULD'VE ended forever ago, but they just keep breathing more life into it. DBZ had a finite ending too, but that doesn't mean it didn't drag on for a ridiculously long time.

I still don't watch Lost because it sticks quite to 2 things I really dislike: A) It's almost as if it's like an ACTION soap opera...at night It also reminds me of any anime like DBZ that just doesn't know when to end. No finite ending means ridiculously drawn out plotlines and cliff hangers and stories let so open ended they just get ridiculous. Which sets back to point A

Yea...I still don't know wtf that is about... Vista suspends the desktop when you're playing games @ full-screen. You SHOULD see little to no loss in FPS. However...Oblivion sometimes runs better for me in Windowed mode

So I just got my 80GB iPod...but it's a metric ton of a pain in my ass for me to load ALL my MP3s into my iTunes library, and then wait for it to sync. It's even more of a pain in my ass because I have all my Mp3s spread over 2 computer and 2 seperate iTunes libraries. Are there any programs (for OS X and/or Vista) that'll just let me...ya'know...drag and drop songs onto my iPod and just DELETE the songs I don't want on there anymore OFF? There HAS to be SOMETHING out there.

Vista has never crashed on me. Ever. And from what I've been led to believe, that's not really uncommon. HOWEVER, Vista has been pretty uncompatible with a lot of my hardware up until about a month ago. I had a LOT of video card related issues (because nVidia screwed me) followed by some ethernet card issues, but now that all my drivers have been updated it's all good. That said, only notable new feature right now, other than seemingly being more stable, is the RAM caching stuff which really does make a big difference sometimes. Especially when launching programs. So is it WORTH IT? Maybe...I mean Vista's PRETTY expensive, and it really doesn't add THAT much, but I like it. HOWEVER I would've never updated had XP not flat out shit all over my last valid activation. Also: UAC can be turned off...but I didn't turn them off.

So yea...I'm gonna have some time next month to take it easy to model whatever the hell I want at my own pace since I won't have an ACTUAL modeling class. So I want to take some time to do something fun so that I don't lose my edge, and I was thinking about trying to do a high-rez Protoss Dark Templar (with all the SC2 talk going on) because I figure it wouldn't be TOO hard to do as Protoss kind of...lack facial detail and it would also be pretty cool lookin' to see if in high-rez IF I could pull it off. Problem is: I can't draw that well. I mean...some people would refute that statement, but I don't draw nearly as well as I feel I'd need to for something like this. That's why I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a few concept sketches for me? Generally I figure I should just need a turn around (preferably naked...front, side, & back views...with an optional 3/4ths) and probably a front and side view of the head. The head, of course, being the most important part, I was thinking with emphasis on the frontal plate kind of like how Blizzard is doing Draenei now. If someone could even just do THAT part, I'd be happy. Really. So...are you bad enough to help me out? D: Probably not, but I figured I'd give it a shot =P

lol @ the story of every patch to every MMO ever "A lot of people are cancelling their accounts ebcause of...." They'll be back...until Blizzard really rapes WoW, but until then...they'll be back.

From what I gather from what virt has said on multiple occasion, specifically the VGMix 3 panel at MAGFest, Prot didn't KILL VGMix, but he definitely put the nail in the coffin. VGMix2 wasn't particularly what anyone wanted, and needed a lot of work. They couldn't really fix the code because deim0s coded the whole thing himself, didn't really comment or organize, and then disapeared leaving everyone kind of SOL as far as the site went unless they wanted to try to dig through it and figure it out themselves (I'm pretty sure richter did/is doing a lot of that). Once Prot took the site down, rather than try to bring back a site that was pretty broken internal already, they decided it was a good time to just take it down all together and iron out all their problems. Which, from what I've heard, and from what I understand, VGMix 3, from a developer/backend/coding stand-point, is THE h0tness. richter is sexay beast.
