  1. I was gonna make this thread at midnight, but I didn't know what forum to put it in
  2. I'll hook you up with Cesar's guild. They're on the ball.
  3. Yea, WoW ran fine before Vista and Vista drivers. Then it started freezing in full screen (with still good frames on full settings) so I had to switch to windowed. Now windowed is starting to freeze more and more. Also: http://ramaserv.thasauce.net/images/dreanei_pwnt_00.png http://ramaserv.thasauce.net/images/dreanei_pwnt_01.png http://ramaserv.thasauce.net/images/dreanei_pwnt_02.png http://ramaserv.thasauce.net/images/dreanei_pwnt_03.png http://ramaserv.thasauce.net/images/dreanei_pwnt_04.png http://ramaserv.thasauce.net/images/dreanei_pwnt_05.png http://ramaserv.thasauce.net/images/dreanei_pwnt_06.png It was the least we could do. They whiped out the Crossroads, Rachet, Grom'Gol, and God knows what else. (I fucking HATE the weekends). Funny story, Suzu. The night after we did that Adrienne's guild raided Auberdine AGAIN.
  4. I've heard that, while this DOES work, you'll get transported back to Azeroth and temp-banned if someone reports you.
  5. So, here I am a World of WarCraft: The Burning Crusade owner. Paid in full $40. Now, as most people here know, I have a (now) level 44 Undead Priest. So, today I got bored with the grind and knowing the Blasted Lands had creatures from levels 46-50 something, I decided to go on an adventure to the Dark Portal. I fly on down to Stonard, hop on my mount, treck on down to the Dark Portal, rush up the ramp and BAM....I go through it...but I'm still in the Blasted Lands. WTF? Big message stating "You must be level 58 to enter the Dark Portal." Whoa whoa whoa whoaaaa. You're telling me I can't even SET FOOT into Outland unless I'm level 58? What the crap is THAT about? Now, I know what you're probably thinking. "You're leve 44, you're gonna get RAPED in Outland, you have no business being there." Sure, I'll get raped in Outland, but guess what? I PAID for Outland. TO be more correct, I PAID for an entire new continent that's roughly the size of both the existing continents to explorer and enjoy at my will. Guess what? I'd get raped in the Burning Steppes. I'd get raped in some parts of the Hinterlands. I'd get raped in a lot of places, but you know what? I can still walk through them AT MY LEISURE and I DIDN'T have to pay extra for it. Sure, I can be a dreanei or a blood elf and go to their new towns and areas. Big fricken whoop. So I get to level from 1-25 in 2 "breath taking new areas" but once I finish up Ghostlands it's RIGHT back to the Barrens and Ashenvale and Thousand Needles until I'm fricken 58. That's some SERIOUS bullshit, Blizzard. Seriously. AND ON ANOTHER NOTE: The reason I got so bored with levelling tonight is because I tried to run Ulda and my computer locked up 3 times. Now I know what you're thinking there: "That's what you get for upgrading to Vista." Well here's some statistics for you: My video card is a GeForce FX 5200. While crap, nVidia still totes it as a "Vista essential compatible and ready to go!" video card. http://www.nvidia.com/page/fx_5200.html But there's a catch...FX cards aren't up to date with the most recent drivers. Only GeForce 6 & 7 cards are still being updated to iron out kinks with Vista and anything before that is basically "Yea...it'll work...with a lot of problems...but we'll maybe fix it...eventually." ATI, on the other hand, is getting all their Vista compatible cards (with pixel shading and all that crud) fully up to date and functional. So Microsoft is not so much as fault here so much as fricken nVidia. F-U nVidia. I can't wait until I get my 2.36 Ghz MacBook Pro next month. Then I'm gonna whoop some WoW ass.
  6. Earthbound Chrono Cross (I own it, but my discs are messed up so I can't play it) Final Fantasy X-2 Xenogears Xenosaga Originally Jet Set Radio Future, but I've recently played it now Devil May Cry 2 Most DDRs San Andreas We Love Katamari Lineage II Lunar 2: Eternal Blue The Elder Scroll VI: Oblivion Every Silent Hill game Space Channel 5 Part II Games I've never played, and have little interest in playing. Games I've never play, but I'd MAYBE play one day. Games I would LOVE to play and probably will eventually.
  7. I'm tryin' man, I'm tryin'. I got on my priest last night and pounded out half my quest logt hat's been sitting there for MONTHES. I don't know how to use that new LFG thing though...I just AUTOMATICALLY join a group and it's scary Plus I need to learn how to HEAL without BeneCast again >_<
  8. The RAR has as big as you can get from me for now...especially since my HD just recently died and the original files are gone. Yes, please fix. Also: Entries recieved, don't expect me to get around to putting anything up until AT LEAST Friday, though. This is a BAD BAD week for school. EXCELLENT stuff, though. Even better than I could've hoped for.
  9. Social networks are there to, ya'know, keep in touch with people you ALREADY KNOW in person. It's pretty inevidable that people are goin to add people they DON'T KNOW. If you don't want to knowing everything about someone, or don't want them knowing everything about you, GASSSSSPPPPPPPPP, don't add them. people are GOING TO DO IT ANYWAY because PEOPLE ARE HUMAN. But that's not the site's fault.
  10. Today is supposed to be the deadline, but I'm gonna have a long week because I have a LOT of work to do for school. For now I'm gonna bump the deadline back to MIDNIGHT on SUNDAY. So that I have time to sort things out.
  11. Well Ty, I decided to listen to my Burning Crusade soundtrack and you're right, the Outland music DOES sound a lot like Diablo music...and I guess with Matt Uelmen composing it that makes a lot of sense.
  12. lol yea, I never even knew about the link colors because I've NEVER used the default theme =P
  13. I really doubt that they would've made Advent Children if FF7 didn't have the same appeal in Japan as it does here. In fact that much is OBVIOUS when you hear some of the stuff they say in "The Making of..."
  14. New Vista issue: New Windows Explorer is infinitely better than older Windows Explorer, and does some really fun new stuff with audio files....except only MP3 and WMA files. Obviously there's plenty of programs that add new columns like AudioShell and dbpowerAmp that'll add support to ALL audio formats... ...except none of them work with Vista yet . Which wouldn't be a huge problem if I wasn't ripping all of my most-listened-to music in MPC now a days =\.
  15. One is obviously a body-double. Enemies of the horde would take advantage of the warchief's absence!
  16. Or being able to change the background color, or background image, or having Windows NOT place new icons under it when it's positioned on the left side.... I don't know how some of this stuff wasn't fixed in beta...and I'll be damned if they're gonna update it anytime soon =\.
  17. As with a lot of things in Vista, Gadgets are a REALLY cool idea that doesn't have much momentum right now. It's understandable since Vista JUST came out and all, but as of right now only a handful of gadgets are really USEFUL (they have analog AND digital clocks that essentially save you time of looking MAYBE 1000px away at your Taskbar clock...seriously). Hopefully in time something really cool'll come out of them, but right now I'm justing using weather and the so-so GMail notifier.
  18. Pirates! Music (from both PC/XBOX release AND the DOS/Win release) THE BACKYARDIGANS and (c'mon now people) Puppet Treasure Island! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2-wfBf-iSM <-- Backyardigans meet One Piece >_< Also: Buccaneer's Den from Ultima.
  19. http://ramaserv.thasauce.net/2007-02-02_01.png Improvement over XP? EXTREMELY. I'll go into more detail later, but right now I have NO QUALMS what so ever.
  20. Reemaniscenc because I ran out of letters and didn't really care about my name, lol Adrienne is like Gaelle or some shit. She's an undead warrior.
  21. Speaking if Illidan, Adrienne bought BC and started up a warrior, ftw. I've been levelling my Pally but I never seen you on. What's the deal, yo?
  22. Apparently not as good as zircon's Impulse Prime? ooooooooooooh snap, I went there. I haven't heard either though, so >_>
  23. iduno man, you tell me: I'll color it eventually..
  24. If you have Stylish and Firefox installed, just use the UserStyle links to install both the styles. They SHOULD install correctly when you click the "Install Style" button. Dark Theme: http://userstyles.org/style/show/456 Fix: http://userstyles.org/style/show/1590
  25. So I've recently started working in Computer Animation and Maya and yadda yadda yadda. I can tell you right now that as far as models go, FF7 probably doesn't us anything over 1000 polys or so...if even that...and THAT'S in battle scenes. As far as walking around and shit that's a huge LOL. Those things are like MAYBE 200 polys. I'd say even saying THAT is pushing it. I'd go as far as to say the game, sans-the world map and battle enviroments, was completely lacking textures. It only uses shaders except for the eyes, brows, and mouth (this is assuming PS was capable of using shaders, I really don't know. If it can't, it could just us 1px colored textures.) Whatever textures it DOES have are no bigger than 32px. The background images for most of the levels are statics images and, my guess, are about 720x480 IF EVEN THAT. They could even be stretched to twice the size from 360x240. So what does that say for FF7? It says that if you removed all the music or downgraded it from CD quality to something substantially less, and turned the CG cutscenes into FMV cutscenes, I'm willing to bet you could get that thing under 200MBs. So is it possible? Well nothing's really impossible. Is it HARD? Well, depends on how you look at it, but no not really. Will it HAPPEN? PRETTY doubtful...at least anytime soon. But what does this tell us is a BETTER candidate for DS port? MGS1
