  1. Happy Birthday guys! Today is my mom's birthday too. April is a busy birthday month! Enjoy your day guys!
  2. I love this... T is right, it is fun and the production is excellent. Nice job!
  3. For me it would be one of a couple things: either going through some of my libraries and just auditioning sounds/samples/sequences, to see quickly if it inspires a groove of any kind, or watching a walkthrough or tutorial video and trying to replicate what I've learned, quickly. Either of those will often get me going.
  4. WOOOHOOOO CONGRATULATIONS!!! (today is my husband's birthday too)
  5. Nope, it doesn't reset anything, the file change is transparent... which is the main feature I wanted. That way you don't have wip #1, wip #2, wip #3 etc., you can just keep updating the file. (but honestly, I would only do this on nearly complete tracks. If you change the track significantly, like new arrangement, then the comments will be weird and misplaced. I only do this on tracks I'm just about ready to submit. For true "wips" I upload them to Box instead of SC.) So when you say you just got one of those too, do you mean the bogus followers? I guess that's one way to boost your follower count, but jeez, it's disgusting (at least to me).
  6. Have you clicked on the trashcan icon? That usually gets the job done. But I'm freaking out about this fake follower business... is there any way to block that, aside from muting them individually? Very freaked out about this... edit: just emailed their support...
  7. I upgraded to the first tier of Soundcloud Pro, mainly so I could change my music files without deleting all the comments (as I make mixing fixes). And a few days later, I find I'm getting spammed by new "followers" that are just ads for dating/sex services. I wonder if the events are related... I've had my SC account for two years and this never happened before. Anyone else? Any advice? (aside from deleting SC) Here's my "new follower"
  8. But use many many many emoticons unless you're really really brave!!!
  9. Thanks Rozo! Glad you enjoyed it. A few final tweaks, a three-way meeting of the minds, and it's off to the judging queue!
  10. So creative, so unbelievably groovy... lows and grunge to die for... yeah the word that comes to mind is definitely "sick." WOW. But that ending bit... is the song going to continue or what is up with that? Because if not then that is really too jarring... it jarred me.
  11. Happy birthday, Prophecy! For anyone who truly wants to see disgusting cakes, click here but be warned they are truly gross! (seriously... don't look if you're squeamish) Wait... *realizes this began as an FL Studio gauntlet thread* *feels weird about posting gross cake link* *hits submit anyway*
  12. "They See Me Rolling" Timaeus has joined the Goron team with some subtle yet excellent reverb and glitching effects. Mod review would be appreciated. This will be the submission version unless something truly terrible is wrong. Thanks, and we hope you continue to enjoy this silly little track! It was lots of fun to make.
  13. This is definitely coming along! I love the heartbeat kicks in the beginning, great twist on my suggestion. I still think a soft kick roll along with that reverse swoosh in the transition would connect the parts a little better, get the listener ready for more intense drumming. I would take out that final heartbeat and replace it with the kick roll. Gawd that piano lead is pretty. Which preset is that? Song is still a bit repetitive but I think that's mostly ok... maybe just a couple of slight melody variations here and there? Like between 2:02 and 2:15. Those choir pads are very nice, but they sound a little bit plain. What about gently sidechaining them for some added movement and interest? Also the drums are quite repetitive, maybe you could throw in a few little rolls or breaks or somesuch here and there. Like a quick, soft snare roll and crash combo thingy. Ok 3:04 through 3:36 is really plain. Wouldn't that be a perfect spot to do some kind of amazing solo? Guitar at the end is stunning. Makes a perfect soft outro.
  14. Argle's on the ball, thank goodness someone is. PLEASE EVERYONE HOLD OFF ON THIS PROJECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
  15. Personally, I now think you've nailed it, as near as possible using midi strings. Great job. Totally ready for a mod to chime in!
  16. Guys, I would hold of on doing anything serious on this project until Emu or Theo dive in here and give us an update on things. I know they are in the process of making some changes. At the very least, ping one of them before spending too much time on something!
  17. OMG had to see what was up with this... wow so amazing, that is some serious talent! It wasn't *totally* acapella though, he had the kitty help out at some points.
  18. Who is the best person to get in touch with if I want to recommend someone for workshop mod? Thanks.
  19. This is utterly lovely Wes, like all your music. The ambience is divine. I feel like you could maybe hint at the drop, maybe bring in some kicks or hat hits starting around 1:12, just on the first beat of those four bars leading to the break before the drop... otherwise the drop is so totally unexpected as to be a bit jarring, at least for me. Maybe even a kick or snare roll, ramping up in volume, in addition to the reverse effect. That next section is awesome, just needs to be signaled a bit better. Signaling it will make it so much more exciting when it hits. You need a better crash sample, and need to process it a bit better, this one sounds cheapish. Some more chord/melody variations, and this is a truly amazing piece. The guitar sketch at the end is gorgeous, I hope you can work it in! And Argle... even judges need critiques on their stuff! Everyone needs crits on their own stuff.
  20. This for me too. I can whip up a track pretty quickly but the mixing and balancing and tweaking and adding transitions and fine-polishing it can take me a month. And then another full month of second-guessing myself.
  21. No, you Friend *before* the first date. Just after the initial "hello," actually.
