  1. If you want any help with that piano, I could perform some of it if you send me the MIDI. I could also write you a solo or something if you wanted help with anything like that. I haven't got FLStudio, but I can send you back a mp3/whatever file to insert back into your file.
  2. Hey guys! It's me again. This time I've got some Ivalice music! I've always wanted to work on something like this, because FFTA2 has one of my favourite soundtracks from videogames I've ever played, and most of the music is particularly difficult to work on because of the frequent key changes. I was going to work on this a bit more and make this a WIP, but I've recently heard more of the soundtrack and I've already started work on a single piano medley of some of the more emotional tunes in the game. Anyway, hope you guys enjoy it!
  3. And here's a higher quality version! As always, criticisms and feedback are appreciated hugely!
  4. Unfortunately I've only got it on Youtube at the moment (on my phone) but I'll upload it to tindeck tomorrow.
  5. Version 0.2! In this version I fixed some of the beginning, and added the Re:CoM, 358/2 Days and Kingdom Hearts 2 version. Because they fit into the same sort of section, I've somewhat grouped the original KH and Re:CoM together, and 358/2 Days and KHII together as well.
  6. Thanks! And I know what you mean about the variation. I managed to do a similar thing with the Hollow Bastion theme remix a few weeks ago. Still waiting on the results for that... I'll probably finish this tribute, and then I'll make a second video where I combine each of the different ideas from all of them. And yes, it is 10 years old, and we're STILL waiting on a numbered game. XD Dream Drop Distance and Birth by Sleep were both fantastic games, though. That reminds me. If anyone has any ideas for free harp VSTs or Flute VSTs that sound decent, that would be awesome. I've got a fairly good one for each at the moment, but there are so many incredibly horrible ones out there that I really can't sift through without completely going over my internet limits. Anybody know any good ones?
  7. I like it. Lovely arrangement! I think playing it naturally would make it sound INCREDIBLY good. Like, seriously, any dynamic change with natural expression, and natural offsets of notes and durations would make it sound absolutely brilliant. If you gave me sheet music for it I could probably record myself playing it for because it doesn't sound too hard. Anyway, keep up the brilliant work! It's nice to see another Kingdom Hearts pianist.
  8. At the moment I'm in the process of making of making a giant medley of all of the different 'Dearly Beloved' arrangements from each of the games. To add a little bit of a twist, I'm doing it in chronological order (Birth by Sleep - Dream Drop Distance) instead of order of release date. This is something of a Kingdom Hearts 10th Anniversary tribute, so I hope you guys enjoy it. At the moment I have only finished the first two sections (Birth by Sleep and the original Kingdom Hearts), but I'm working on Re:Chain of Memories and I've planned every other section pretty well so look forward to them coming soon. Version 1! Finally got all of this finished! I probably won't be making any more updates to this in the near future because of the repetitiveness, but I'm glad to have finished this and I think it turned out really well. ;D
  9. Thanks! I might work on this a little more, but this is more of a fun little project than a proper submission.
  10. Youtube Mirror Link This was just a quick job that I've been working on for a few days to test out some of my less used VSTs. It's more of an experiment (and possibly a cover) than a remix, but I think it sounds different enough from the original to be considered a remix (or at the very least a re-mastered version). I've been meaning to do some Ring of Fates music for a while.
  11. @chimpzilla: Thanks! I sort of know what you mean about the feel of the piano. The soundfont used is still being a bit tetchy, but we managed to get round this slightly by making the arrangement itself more interesting and varied, as well as applying a fair amount of reverb to it. The dullness probably came from the amount of variation I got when recording the multiple parts of each of the solos. Because of this I had to equalise a lot of the different recordings, and because of that the differences in velocities and some of the feel of the piano itself was lost. Anyway, I'm glad you liked it! The main aim of this remix was to test how unique and different we could make the original feel while still conveying each of our styles into the mix, and I think we succeeded. Does anyone have anything that could cause this to fail as a submission?
  12. This is a little different from some of my other remixes, but I've spent the last four days working with Plasma3Music on this and we're both pretty happy with the result. As well as using Planet Wisp from Sonic Colors, we also made reference to the Green Hill Zone theme and 'His World' from Sonic '06. Hope you guys enjoy it!
  13. Thanks! Not quite sure about the muffled notes. I think it might possibly be slight distortion from the notes on the second chord of both sequences because they each have 4 notes (which are both just basic chords) and each of the notes have the same velocity so that could have possibly be the reason. In actuality, it might just be something with the soundfont because I have known this one to be fairly picky with note positioning and sometimes even running through a basic instrumental clip of notes.
  14. Finally I have created another remix! This is sort of less of a remix and more of an arrangement, but I think I changed it enough for it to be at least considered as being a remix. I'm also going to be working on perhaps adding other instruments into the mix. To be honest, this is mostly just a test to see how much humanisation I could get into a single track. None of this was recorded using a keyboard, so I think I did a fairly awesome job on that front. I think I've improved a lot since Lost Radiance.
  15. Just saying, dude, it's 'Pl511'. XD

  16. I'd be willing to contribute for this. As for the choice of songs, anything that would fit to a piano arrangement and work as a remix would be good enough for me.
  17. If you're still looking for a pianist, I'd be glad to help.
  18. I have no words. I think I'm sort of high right now. Not so much on anything, just high on making music. This is fun. I won't do this again, I promise. XD
  19. This sounds so full, and so rich! You really made a huge texture with this. It's also surprisingly calming. I think some of the sound effects might be a bit much, but nothing is overly intrusive and most of them heighten the ambient sound during those sections. One thing I have to say though - and this is probably just because I play piano - the line around 3:10 doesn't work so well with the piano soundfont. It sounds a bit too sharp and not gentle enough to match the rest of the mix. Maybe turn all the velocities in that section down by maybe 10%? Other than that, I love this so much. :3 My favourite part is... well, basically all of it. You did an amazing job with giving the piece energy. Keep up the awesome work!
  20. Thanks, guys! I just sent in my submission. Hopefully they'll enjoy it. To be honest, even if it doesn't get accepted, I'd just like to say thanks to everyone who helped by giving feedback and listening to all of the versions of this mix. It's been great to have such a great response to this, and it's definitely added a lot to the overall track.
  21. The name is now 'Lost Radiance'! Thanks, Mirby, for the awesome name. I'm submitting it now. Wish me luck, guys!
  22. That sounds pretty awesome, actually. Thinking about it, I'll probably call it either that or 'Radiance Lost'.
  23. http://tindeck.com/listen/shvu

I didn't exactly add flourishes, but I made it have a little more variation and changed up a few of the lines. Also, happy birthday! XD

  24. Version 4.1! Only a few things were changed in this one, and all changes were in the last section. Instead of adding trills or grace notes, I added emphasis to a few chords that I've added in, and also changed the sound of some parts in the section. I also fixed the problem with the soundfont and changed the key back. Not sure if it sounds any better or worse. This is - hopefully - finalised. If you have suggestions, this is the last time to say them. I'll submit this with no extra feedback in a few hours. Also, does anyone have any ideas for a name for this? If it was down to me I'd probably choose 'Sora's Ascent' or 'Reconciliation Postponed' or something like that, so any ideas would be good ideas at this point.
  25. I'm sorry, but I still have no idea what you mean by adding flourishes to my remix. I know the types of things you mean but I really don't know where they would fit at all.
