  1. Not sure if cheating but I would say Gmod, Minecraft, or LittleBigPlanet. Gmod and LBP both, just because there's an endless stream of user content so it would never get old. Plus Gmod is extremely fun. Not really a huge minecraft player but the worlds are so huge that I doubt I would ever get bored.
  2. https://soundcloud.com/memtrixdub/memtrix-numbers-lftd015-out At 0:44 there's a high synth with vibrato. Kinda hard to miss. I've been really unsuccessful in recreating it, or at least getting something similar to it. I think it might be sampled from something and synthesized, but I'm not sure... I also feel like this was done in Massive... i'm literally just now starting to experiment with it, so if this sound is really easy to make, sorry... Please help!
  3. Ok. I'm jealous. I find myself nervous going into pawn shops in my area. All the pawn shops by me are basically "drop off the stuff you just robbed" kinda places. The TurboGrafx 16, 3DO, and Neo Geo are the 3 systems I want most right now!
  4. So over the past couple years I've amassed quite the collection of gaming stuff. It's nothing special, but it's not really small either. Mainly I collect old systems more than the games themselves, but that's just because of coincidence. Anyone else here in to console/game collecting? Where do you get them from? Whats the coolest/favorite thing to you that you've gotten? For instance, I recently got a TurboExpress handheld for $5 at goodwill. It has some bad capacitors but I can easily replace them. Pretty dang pleased that I found one so cheap
  5. Ah ok. Thats my problem. I didn't hear the "main" music that usually plays in the grassy area and I got scared. This is extremely nit-picky too, but I don't like the slimes with umbrellas during rain. It just...doesn't make sense to me.
  6. Saw it Saturday. It had some scientific flaws in it but it was great! 11/10. Also, I want to make a montage of comedic ending locations too.
  7. Wait, is it just me, or did they replace/take out some of the music?
  8. Harvest Moon for snes has always seemed like a fall game to me, but I never really play it around fall...
  9. Not everything. Not even games really. Just Nintendo, TV, and Halloween. Also, your signature is perfect with that post.
  10. AW HEEEEEEEEEEEEL NO. YOU JUST BROUGHT THE SASSY BLACK WOMAN OUT OF ME! -I like Mario games a lot! Your blind defense of them and refusing to accept that any of them have flaws is also telling. -Well no shit of course I'm going to die. I did manage to beat it 100% in 2 days though, so yes: It was easy. -a)Never said they WERE bad changes. Just uninteresting. Which they kind of are to me. -b)I played it, and so my "dismissal" of it is pretty damn justified. I can understand if people like the idea of it, but what I played of it was most definitely NOT revolutionary. -disagree but I can see where you're coming from. I say least favorite loosely because they were both still great experiences. Fi kind of blew it for me as a companion though, and yeah I know that's not really an original complaint but I still feel that way. -yes -not so much recently, but yes. -oh boy cooking mama X and pro bass fishing 19 here I come. Quantity over quality is basically what you're saying now... -OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH SARCASM! YEAH BECAUSE THAT'S TOTALLY THE POINT I WAS TRYING TO MAKE! YEAH, FUCK ME FOR EXPECTING GAMES THAT ARE A LITTLE MORE SOPHISTICATED THAN THE ONES I USED TO PLAY 15 YEARS AGO, AM I RIGHT!? I shouldn't even DARE to expect games that are more advanced, creative, immersive, witty, and artistic than ones that came out on the N64! -YES, they should be ashamed, and goddamn they should try harder...
  11. Seriously. People be sassy...
  12. Played it at PAX yeah, but also just don't like the newer Mario games, because they've dumbed it down "to it's roots" to appeal to the "retro" and "casual" gamer. That's fine, but they also took out a bunch of the challenge and secrets the older ones had. They're ok games, but they don't excite me, and I think they're milking them too much. When I first heard about 3D Land I was excited, because I was expecting a new 3D Mario adventure game like SM64. When I realized it was 2-1/2D I was hesitant but got it anyway. Overall I thought it had a decent amount of levels to unlock, but it was WAY too easy (the fact that you are given an invincibility suit if you die too much REALLY ticked me off), and it was very forgettable. This one is basically just 3D land with a few changes, none of which are very interesting. Cat suit is ehh... It should have been on the 3DS, but even then, I really had hoped we would get another Galaxy or Sunshine... The new Zelda I'm actually interested in! I was a little surprised they didn't make a Majora's Mask remake but I love Wind Waker and thought it looked nice! They did mention that this new Zelda would try to go back to the original formula, in that you don't need to defeat the dungeons in a certain order, but I'll need to see how and if they go through with that. Skyward Sword was probably my least favorite in the Zelda series, but it had elements I liked. Flying was fun :3 I was having a hard day. What I mean is I'm tired of Nintendo's conflicted goals. The Wii U was released with a goal of attracting more of the hardcore gamer demographic, yet they're still putting emphasis on casual gaming, with a continued lack of support for AAA titles. To be fair, they've shied off from emphasizing this as much, or at least have tried too, but they still do it, and it bugs the hell out of me. NINTENDO! GAMES THE WHOLE FAMILY CAN ENJOY! EVEN GRANDMA IS HAVING FUN!
  13. I know! After Halloween I play Harvest Moon, Sim City, Demon's/Dark Souls, and Super Mario 64! The weirdest thing is, though, is that I'm only 18, so a lot of these games came out before or right after I was born. When I was growing up we lived really close to my Grandparents and Uncle, and he would always play games seasonally. I think I play these games seasonally due to some deep subconscious nostalgia of some sort...
  14. To be honest, I don't give a crap about the price point, but then again, I'm not the right demographic to care. While, yes, the Wii U has been amassing a library, I really think Nintendo has lost it's touch. None of what they've been releasing or announcing has interested me. The majority of what they've been catering to are gamers who are stuck in the era of 2D platformers. Mario isn't even a series anymore so much as it is a genre now. Super Mario 3D world is a disappointment to me. I have yet to see any bit of a new Zelda game, but even so, I don't doubt that it could be a disappointment as well. The new DK game is also a 2D platforming drop-in-the-bucket. Honestly, a new Metroid Prime game would be about the only thing that would interest me at this point. I'm really tired of the "famury game-purae" trend Nintendo has been going with since the middle of the Wii's life. They just don't seem to care anymore about trying to be revolutionary and new, and it really bothers me. At the same time though, I'm also peeved at developers. The Wii U isn't under powered or anything, but developers of AAA games refuse to make ports to it. GTAV for instance could have been made for the Wii U, and it would have attracted a lot of people! I just wish that Nintendo would change it's image at least. They're capable of doing much better than they are now...
  15. And we'll just keep telling ourselves that...
  16. Aww yeah! I forgot about Earthworm Jim and Resident Evil! Those are also fall ones for me!
  17. I'm kind of weird. I play specific games on specific seasons. As it is the FIRST official day of Octoberween, It's not time for me to play: Jetpak minigame on DK 64 Castlevania III and IV Super Mario Bros. 2 Ghosts n Goblins (WHICH I'VE YET TO BEAT AAAAGGGHHH) Chrono Trigger Banjo Tooie Aaaaaand the Animal Crossing games! Does anyone have any games that YOU play during fall or on halloween?
  18. I'm really not trying to be "that guy," but I've always been kind of annoyed with the thread posts on this site. Specifically "community". The main thing is the majority of the posts there aren't really related to general community chat, rather, they're about either consoles or games that just came out. Now, I like giving my input on that and all, but it REALLY deserves it's own category. That and the constant stream of posts along the lines of "That one thing you've probably never heard of is released!" and "Album Kickstarter...". These kinds of posts are either advertisements or are directed for a specific audience, and frankly I find it hard to participate on this site because of it. Yeah, there's an "Off Topic" thread, but it's rarely used, let alone looked at. I think it would be really beneficial to have more organization in the forums. Sorry if sound like an ass; I don't mean to. I just want to participate but I find it hard to do so...
  19. Ive heard a few pieces of music recently that use sounds of radio tuning or something similar. Im talking about high pitched sine-wavish sounds changing pitch at random, not radio crackle or fuzziness. I have a COUPLE soundclips of this but I would like to be able to recreate it myself. Does anyone know what I mean, or do I need to go on a scavenger hunt for what I'm talking about?
  20. I think it would be cool if From Software made a Castlevania. Similar to Demon's/Dark Souls but less open world... Well, at least with ought a Hub world. Both of those games have their difficulty just right, and enemies can be intimidating and require you to think. Combine that with the eerie atmosphere of say Super Castlevania IV, and I'd say it would be a fantastic game. The newer Castlevanias have always kind of bugged me. They don't feel like... Well, Castlevania. They're too... anime-ey? When I think Dracula, I don't think 23 year old pasty Japanese guys with long silver hair and who seems to be sexually confused about himself. I'm getting off track. From Software, Castlevania. Yep.
  21. I have a lot of people who ask me about how synthesis works. Does anyone know of a good VST that easily shows all of the basic processes of a synth without being too complicated or sophisticated. One with oscillator types, LFOs, an envelope generator for a filter and volume, and maybe some other stuff. The closest I have is Synth1, but I find that people are easily confused when I try to explain it to them. I don't mind what type of synthesis it is...
  22. I don't feel kingly anymore

  23. Ok. I'm kind of excited. Wonder how console implementation will work, if any
  24. Only thing FL can't do that really bugs me is CHANGE THE COLOR SCHEME TO NOT BE DULL-GRAY, GOD DAMMIT!
  25. I'm feeling kingly. Entertain me
